Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Oops posted too soon in my eagerness to tell you that Very have AirPods in their Black Friday deals.. @Graphista ... I ordered the noise cancelling pair for Dh for £199. I don't know if the new account discount will work on electricals but if you sign up for a credit account you get 20-30% off as well so it's worth a try !

@Sunshineskies

Thanks for thread reastie. And thanks to the people who’ve given me more ideas on where to look for roller blades. Unfortunately I STILL haven’t been able to find any. Everywhere is sold out of size 5 apart from the adjustable ones which pp advised weren’t very good (sorry can’t remember your user name but thank you for that advice). Facebook marketplace doesn’t have any either (I had no idea that Facebook marketplace even existed so thank you for that tip, might not have worked this time but I’m sure I’ll use it again). In the meantime, if anyone does spot any rollerblades in an adult size 5 (which aren’t adjustable) I’d be so grateful if you could let me know. So far I’ve tried: sports direct, eBay store sports direct, decathlon, Facebook marketplace, skate hut and a couple of small independent skate shops.
I think i seen rollar blades in smyths
sorryiasked · 23/11/2020 06:17

@Sunshineskies House of Frazer have these for £36. Suit size 4.5-6 bit aren't "adjustable"

sorryiasked · 23/11/2020 06:38

Who wanted x 48 books? Have a look at lowplex lots of book sets eg mr men / little miss or young readers etc

dizzygirl1 · 23/11/2020 06:44

Thanks everyone. 48 books is 1 book per day for 2 children 😊 but they are 11 and 13 so it's a bit more difficult on a budget! Normally I manage about a £1 a book between book people and their codes.... Really missing them at the moment.
The works are great for younger books but the slightly older ones I'm struggling with.

margaritasbythesea · 23/11/2020 06:49

dizzygirl1
Try World of Books and Books2Door. Someone mentioned a referral code for the latter but I couldn't find it. Scholastic was also good last year when I bought the full set of How to Train Your Dragon. Finally, if The Works have a code, they sell sets of books at a decent price.

Someaddedsugar · 23/11/2020 06:52

Apologies for repeating my post from the very end of the last thread. Is there such a thing as a B&Q discount? I'd like to get my DPs a new Christmas tree. We don't do presents and just do a secret Santa but they've been wanting a new tree for a few years now but can't justify the price, and I've found a lovely one just out of my price range! I think I've just missed the 20% promotion from looking at the reviews on site Sad

nicky2512 · 23/11/2020 07:06

Graphista I have been able to book a Tesco delivery for New Year’s Eve - just in the normal way.

15% off at Hotel Chocolat with code HOHO

I have been holding off ordering the few bits I need as not Christmas items so was worried about the date. Might just go for it now.

margaritasbythesea · 23/11/2020 07:16

25/ off gift sets at Look Fantastic tiday only. They're also advertising a 20/ off discount for new customers. I don't know if they stack.

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 23/11/2020 07:22

@Dizzygirl1 Try books4people for cheap book sets. Seems to be the reincarnation of The book people.

Ehunt1 · 23/11/2020 07:27

@Someaddedsugar if you are spending £30 or more at B&Q you could sign up to the B&Q club for £5 off.

Someaddedsugar · 23/11/2020 07:28

Thanks @Ehunt1 Smile

Tiggles · 23/11/2020 07:30

Serg · 23/11/2020 07:30

I’d ordered the QVC Hotel Chocolat deal from QVC using someone’s referral code (thank you!) they were delivered on 12th November but the money has just come out of my account this morning.
It’s fine, obviously, but just a bit odd!

sycamorescrumptious · 23/11/2020 07:32

25% off the lovely wonderbly books with code blackfriday

MsMiaWallace · 23/11/2020 07:47

Thanks for new thread x

Pawpawpaws · 23/11/2020 07:54

Does anyone know or can guess what time the Aldi Black Friday deals will go online, will it be midnight or in the morning? Also for those of you who joined in trying to get the carrots last weekend do you need to go on the page to get in the ‘queue’ at a time before it starts for best chance?
If anyone has any tips I’d be very grateful, there’s a Lego set that would make my DC’s Christmas but can’t afford it without the huge discount Aldi are advertising!

thegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyes · 23/11/2020 07:58

@Pawpawpaws I’m sure I saw on the Aldi leaflet when I was waiting for the dupe velvetisers that they go live at midnight for the Black Friday deals.

thegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyes · 23/11/2020 08:01

Just checked again - open the leaflet and scroll through to the black Friday section. I’ve done a screenshot

skates try ebay ?

recklessgran · 23/11/2020 08:58

@dizzygirl1this is the bargainous Christmas Carol book from the previous thread - it's still £1.99 and is a really beautiful copy. It's a whole series and now I want all of them amid a desire to read all the classics again just because these particular books are so beautiful in their presentation!Chrismas Carol
