Month from tomorrow. The OH lady was lovely and said that stress levels were unacceptable and she will be getting my work to do a wellbeing risk assessment.

Happy birthday to your DH fluffy!

Am already in the Christmas don't know what day it is fog as just had to sprint out with the recycling and bins Grin

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 23/12/2020 07:40

Happy Birthday MrFluffy 🎂
That explains why DH only needs glasses for distance now. He can read and use a laptop without them. I'm at the stage when sewing without them is fine, but the pattern 6" further away is fuzzy😵🤦🏻‍♀️
most waiting to hand it in for a month or even 2 won't hurt. 💐

WreckTangled · 23/12/2020 07:40

That's good news most.

We're just about to leave and it's set to rain all day here too; we've got a weather warning out.

I still have two presents to wrap which I'll do this afternoon. I've put a wash on so dh can sort that when it's done (he's still in bed).

My dc are refusing to watch an Xmas films. They're not mine, clearly.

WreckTangled · 23/12/2020 07:40

Oh happy birthday to your dh fluffy. Stupid day to have a birthday Grin

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 23/12/2020 07:54

I agree, Wreck. He was due on 18th, I think, so clearly decided on almost-maximum disruption instead. Standard.

My eyes are the same as yours, Stockings. Irritating.

NerosFiddle · 23/12/2020 08:06

Morning.

Happy birthday mr fluffy.
This was dd due date but thankfully she arrived a bit earlier.

Tesco is coming between 9-10 so it's my turn for a bit of fridge Tetris.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 23/12/2020 08:14

Our wreath has been burgled Angry

CrazyBaubles · 23/12/2020 08:27

Morning and Happy Christmas Eve Eve Xmas Smile
Thank you for the Anniversary wishes. DH cooked a lovely steak dinner and we watched The Holiday (which DH chose and he didn't moan while it was on). He also had a lovely bouquet delivered.

Sounds like a sensible plan with work most. Hopefully that has taken a weight off you so you can enjoy Christmas.
Angry - who on earth steals a wreath?! Is the Grinch local?

Interesting about sight changing Fluffy. I am very short sighted so look forward to some sort of improvement!
Happy birthday to your DH 🎈

Biddy & Neros I hope both your DDs start feeling better.

The last present arrived & was wrapped yesterday, I'm doing my last day of work until Jan & DH has just left to collect Turkeys from his friends farm. He's collecting 4, delivering 3 then bringing ours home and my dad should be delivering the farm shop order this evening, then we're done 🥳
Only things to do after that is a final tidy up, load of laundry to clear the basket (me) and make stuffing and pigs in blankets (DH). Then it's drink, eat & be merry (for a few days then we're going to start painting some furniture ready to move and do some packing).

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 23/12/2020 08:30

Morning everyone, I am off now till Christmas Day night.

Happy birthday to my lovely brother in law Mr Fluffy.

Most your OH dept sound great, rest up now.

WreckTangled · 23/12/2020 09:01

Oh no most!

Dds physio was really pleased with her, said she's the best she's seen her. Next appt in April when we will sort out all the info needed to be given to secondary school 😬

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 23/12/2020 09:31

That's shit, Most. What arseholes. Was it real or fake? Do you reckon it's somebody nearby?

We put our wreath on the inner door inside the porch, as the front one is fully glazed, so nowhere to hang a wreath. I don't trust people not to steal, even though I've not heard of it happening round here (but if it did, you know damn well we'd be the victims!).

Polar Express has gone from Now TV, so I've just paid a fiver to buy it from Amazon! #sucker

ConstantlyCookingMincePies · 23/12/2020 09:41

Happy birthday to Mr Fluffy

Stockings and Fluffy I have been shortsighted since childhood and my distance vision improved slightly with age and my near vision deteriorated more slowly than usual but I am now in the land of varifocals :(
However, I can recommend going outside or to a window and focusing on distant objects as an eye break. We had a v good occupational health person at work once who tried to promote healthy computer use.
Bad news about the wreath most!
My plans for an early M&S trip were scuppered by insomnia so will go soon, then Sainsbury's to collect my order.
We had our first Christmas meal yesterday- a mini buffet for the three of us accompanied by prosecco Xmas Grin followed by a Christmas film.
I have also remembered I need to get a turkey to freeze for our postponed Christmas with DS and family.
Hope you all have good days.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 23/12/2020 09:47

We had invested in a nice fake one last year fluffy, I suppose it is a sign we had a nice one. A neighbour who was popping out anyway has grabbed us and next door new ones as next doors was stolen too.

Great news about DD wreck. We have jam tarts in the oven. Once they are done we are going to brave the rain for a walk. It's supposed to rain all day so no point waiting for it to clear.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 23/12/2020 09:52

Turns out lots of people have had them stolen and one person has it on CCTV but impossible to work out who it is.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 23/12/2020 10:53

The thieves' / thief's logic is insane. Surely it's too late in the day to sell stolen wreaths on? Twats. Nice of your neighbour though. Xmas Smile

Has everybody seen the fridge thread hoo-ha?! It turned into AIBU! Xmas ShockXmas Grin

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 23/12/2020 10:54

Woolly, we've cracked the cranberry Buck's Fizz open. It's very drinkable!

WreckTangled · 23/12/2020 11:25

I had a quick browse at that thread. Didn't get all the way through. My fridge is pretty bare compared to many but it's all we need so I'm happy. We also have a lot less money than most on mnand rl but I'm not going to be jealous. I lovey nosing at other peoples fridges!

MarshmallowManiac · 23/12/2020 11:34

Morning everyone. YAYY is Christmas Eve Eve [santa] Windy and rainy day here, last day for work for my DH so we can finally remove table/computer/phones out of the living room next to the tree this evening. Milkman came today and guess what the veg I ordered wasn't available! Good job I had thought that and bought some from Lidl. We need to get a few last min things and wrap a few last stocking fillers, thought I would be more organised as I started so much earlier but hey ho it is what it is. Grin

One more day Biddy nearly there. Smile Hope your DD is feeling better.

Happy Birthday to your DH Fluffy

Hope your DD's appointment went well Wreck

Glad you're back Most

MarshmallowManiac · 23/12/2020 11:48

We also have a weather warning in place for Boxing Day and 27th.

Hope you feel better soon Most Flowers

Oh noMost, is it windy where you are maybe it has blown off.

Shortsighted too here, last time I went to opticians they said in a few years I would develop a cataract so hope they're wrong.

Enjoy your time off Why

Your meal sounds lovely Constantly

I love nosing at other peoples fridges too Wreck

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 23/12/2020 11:52

Definitely hasn't blown off marshmallow we have video evidence of the theft.

MarshmallowManiac · 23/12/2020 12:09

Oh no Most what kind of person steals a wreath? Shock

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 23/12/2020 12:18

My dad has cataracts, Marshmallow. They aren't severe - yet - so I don't know how badly he's affected. I think just with fine details for now.

MarshmallowManiac · 23/12/2020 12:36

Oh right Fluffy I cannot see fine details at all, like the detail of someone's face at a distance.

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 23/12/2020 15:03

My mum had them to both eyes. Once she'd had the first one done, she discovered the pale yellow she thought she'd chosen for the hall and landing was more washing-up Marigold Xmas Shock and she did a lot of clothes shopping too. Xmas Grin

WreckTangled · 23/12/2020 15:24

Oh no. Tier 4 for us 😭
