Good Morning everyone. Blustery as hell (though probably Hell is more burny ). Bringing DS to see his friends in town this afternoon, will probably bring DD too to finish her Crimbo shopping. I reckon in Kent we're heading for a strict lockdown soon after Christmas with the figures trundling up.

I had my work Christmas do today. First drink at 12:30. I'm a bit tipsy now - too tipsy to risk cross stitch or anything and DH is still working so I'm sticking with watching Kirsties handmade Christmas and drinking my rum

Weather is awful - dark and non stop rain all day. I'm so glad DH walked the dog today!

I drove DH to work today to pick something up ( I don't work Fridays) did washing , (including our bedding)
Shopping (food) with DD then drove round the roads we knew would have good lights (one in particular has way OTT Christmas and Hallowe'en decorations and they did not disappoint , I am still nuturing my Beautiful Eyes )

Made marzipan ( it is lush) and wrapped it in some parchment so I can be all Nigel Slater and unwrap it to decorate my cake .

Next week , Staff Meeting then 2 mega busy days then as of the 23rd I am free.........till the Tuesday anyway .

This thread will need renewed before Christmas won't it ?

I think we'll end on this one and thread 1 for 2021 will be next Friday!

I love an OTT house 70. The house at the end of my street have gone a bit crazy this year so I've met dsis there a few times as she detours here on her way home to keep the dc entertained (nephew just repeats LIGHT CHOO CHOO because there's a train and niece does lots of gasps and "oh wow")

I've just kept going with the rum so am feeling merry. Will have to go to bed soon though.

DH did a 'small' shop today to pick up the things he couldn't get / forgot the other day. He bought loads (especially considering there are only 2 of us)! Ah well, it is Christmas and we are going to be pretty much stuck at home for most of the time off work...
I've also found a mini booze stash which I think is from last Christmas - a bottle of Kir Royale, a bottle of Rose, bottle of white and bottle of Prosecco 🥂 so it's going to be a very Merry Christmas 🥴

We have a house near us that's absolutely bonkers! So many lights!

I'm just watching a Queen documentary on Sky Art , being reminded over again what an amazing band they were and what a beautiful man Freddie was .

I'm lying here after an evening buying essentials for the teen and getting home with takeaway to DH who had 3 separate work do's online so he's snoring away, teen is still thumping about over my head and I'm, well, needing sleep really.

Naughty cat woke me up this morning. He kept scratching on the bedroom door and meowing for no reason at all, he just wanted us up so he could ignore us.

My two have been chasing around destroying anything in their way for an hour and have now gone to sleep on my bed.

Wreck, I choose by more expensive discounted to my budget. Usually New World stuff (S. Africa, NZ, Oz etc).

I've cleaned the kitchen this morning as I couldn't be arsed to do it yesterday and now our hairdresser is here.

DH was being a dick though.

Me, at 8.20, after hanging the washing out: [Hairdresser's name] is coming in just over an hour and I need to clean the kitchen before showering so I'm ready when she gets here.

Morning, busy day here too. Off to get rid of the boat dd has grown out of while restrictions have been lifted, put a load back in storage and buy logs for the fire. Dd made pancakes with strawberries and chocolate for breakfast - I guess the Christmas relaxation of eating rules have commenced!!

I'm waiting for dh to get out of the shower here too so I can brush my teeth (dd was in there when I got up).

When they get bad me and DH will go food shopping and hopefully crafty Costa.

I love Seven Sisters red wine Wreck but think it's quite expensive and seems quite hard to get, also love Wolf Blass yellow label probably 8 or 9 pounds. Never had chicken doughnuts are they nice? Have to blitz house also, have started tidying the living room this morning.

Love an OTT house Crazy, seems so cheery at this time of year when we all really need it.

We officially started on the Christmas snacks last night! We're having a party food dinner tonight too. I've bought a few bits from Aldi (with my Booths' focus group money!) including a wedge of Stilton. 🧀 😋

We opened a tub of quality street last night. All gone now

No idea marshmallow they're part of their Christmas party food selection and I have to try them.

I haven't blitzed the house today. Dh did the kitchen, I've sorted my underwear drawer and done two loads of washing but that's it. It's so dark and gloomy.
