I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

5 Hygge bands for £15 with code TREAT20 entered at checkout, good quality and great for gifts. There aren't many kids designs left but lots of choice for teens/ grown ups.

woodwaj · 01/11/2020 22:55

Sorry if this has already been posted - Thomas super station £50 at argos i dont think I've seen it that cheap before.

For the poster asking for an ASOS code you can get 20% off after you order from Just Eat and they are valid the same day so I would hang on as someone is bound to get one on here eventually!

TidyOmlette · 01/11/2020 22:56

@BeGoneDom if I remember correctly IWOOT was a disaster a while back for some posters. I would avoid them at all costs

Puffalicious · 01/11/2020 22:57

oldwasherwoman That's really good to know, thanks. Problem is I'd need to buy Mario Kart separately as that's the main one he wants, typically, as this deal is a different, cheaper game.

I wondered since there will be mass hysteria over the PS5 the Switch might be on offer on B Friday, but it's still pretty popular. Dilemma!

thelegohooverer · 01/11/2020 22:58

Thank you to whichever lovely poster mentioned the toucan box offer. Dd has just outgrown it so we cancelled our subscription but I have to say that I was very impressed with it. I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay the full price every month, but if she’d been interested I’d have happily stumped up for the reduced 6 month deal. It was a nice diversion for an afternoon.

Famousthehero · 01/11/2020 23:01

Might be cutting it fine for delivery now, but these look like a nice stocking filler (and have a slightly harry potter vibe I think) - loads on ebay under Chinese magic cloth water paper, there are plain or lined versions.
They're like a more dramatic looking aquadoodle - water brushed on shows up in black and then vanishes as it dries.
Pics borrowed from the Internet...

Handbells are a good idea. As is a cabasa. Thank you!

RaggieDolls · 01/11/2020 23:07

@Puffalicious. I'm going to go for it. DS's birthday is in the spring so I'll keep the £10 Jurassic park game back for then as I know it's Zelda he really wants.

I've also bought Mario Kart as a surprise and as something he can play with DD. I used the Curry's deal posted by @stressbucket1 at the start of this thread to get it for £32.

Not sure if its been mentioned before but nintendo switch games £36.99 in currys. If you select collect in store and use code FNDDGAME it takes another £5 off. Making Mario Kart 8 £31.99 plus other games

RaggieDolls · 01/11/2020 23:09

I'm going to suggest his grandparents buy the Zelda game. The switch is an expensive business!

Oldmrswasherwoman · 01/11/2020 23:47

Currys deal was ace - thanks stress

SharonMack17 · 01/11/2020 23:49

15% off at Jacques London with code CELEBRATE15. Ends Tues.

Puffalicious · 02/11/2020 00:02

I'm onto that Curry's deal - brilliant. The Switch is indeed an expensive business! I think I might have and go for the Smyths' deal. I'll kick myself, though, if the BFriday deals are greatConfused.

My problem is after the Switch and a few books he wants that's a lot of cash and I'm not sure he understands the value (8 and has Asd so younger emotionally) and may be upset there's not more parcels compared to the usual bigger pile when he was younger.

Puffalicious · 02/11/2020 00:02

*cave not have

itsBoooisntit · 02/11/2020 00:25

@uniqlo

House of Fraser and Sports Direct have 20% off full price items starting at midnight - code is AUTUMN20 for both

Annoyingly, not for Jo Malone purchases

Bananasplease · 02/11/2020 00:26

What was the toucan box deal please?

myhobbyisouting · 02/11/2020 00:34

@Oldmrswasherwoman what was the curry's deal please? I've scrolled and scrolled and cannot find a poster called stress! Blush

Curry’s post
TheCrow · 02/11/2020 00:52

koi footwear 15% off with code GHOST15

Think it only works on full priced items but they have some really good priced alternative shoes!

myhobbyisouting · 02/11/2020 01:07

Ah thanks!! I'll have a look Grin

@Puffalicious we had this last year. We saved a large box and put the switch in this along with a load of balloons. Made the pile of presents look larger and much fun was had with the balloons too. We also wrapped a couple of games in smaller boxes too.
Givealittlebit · 02/11/2020 03:50

Fell off the threads for a while (life getting in the way!) but thought I'd pop on during a night feed...and am now waiting delivery of the blade and rose leggings 😂

What's the snail and the whale item? My little ones obsessed but I can't find it scrolling back?

FireflyGirl · 02/11/2020 04:55

Givealittlebit Snail and the Whale book and toy £6 at Amazon.

FireflyGirl · 02/11/2020 05:19

I don't know much about dolls other than what I see on here, but the Our Generation Holly doll is £24.99 down from £37.99 on Amazon.

They also have Ayla to order at the same price, but currently out of stock.

LikeSilentRaindrops · 02/11/2020 05:36

@woodwaj for the unborn baby gift, you didn’t mention a budget but I would really recommend a star wrap: tuppenceandcrumble.com/shop/Baby-Star-Wraps-Naturals

I don’t know if anyone’s doing any deals, but this was a godsend for me!

IggyAce · 02/11/2020 06:01

@EvilHerbivore Argos have this pop up tree they also have it in white.
