I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Has anyone seen an expiry date for the Beer52 code, or know if this month is all German beers? I’d like to order for my dad but suspect he would prefer a mix from various countries, so wondering if I’d be better off waiting til next month.

BuzzyBee83 · 29/10/2020 22:38

The Super Mario Lego starter set is reduced to £38 online at Asda if it helps anyone!

Bezzi · 29/10/2020 22:41

@BeaLola thank you so much for that list, so many lovely ideas on there!
She's 78 and will love mostly everything there. Thank you!

Aworldofmyown · 29/10/2020 22:43

Thank you for the poem book suggestion Bunny. My son will adore that!

Chocolateteabag · 29/10/2020 22:53

@Rockhopper81 Toyco are another NZ online toy store which we have used to send presents for our niece & nephew
We use snapfish nz for cards and book depository (as mentioned before)
DSIL always wants us to send clothes for the kids as they don’t seem to have the same quality.
Usually PIL’s go over in Jan but not this year (we were supposed to be going for Christmas Angry) So I’ll be sending a parcel instead

Rockhopper81 · 29/10/2020 23:30

@Chocolateteabag - thank you so much for another avenue to explore! We sent clothes when he was born - I suppose partly because we wanted (selfishly, I know) him to have some stuff that wasn't available over there. We're happy to send again, but I can't deny that it would be nice to buy toys and have them delivered (easily gets too big to post, at least when I'm shopping it does!)...I shall look into it!

Also, thanks @BunnyBerries for the Shirley Hughes book - copy ordered for me!

BeaLola · 30/10/2020 00:08

@Bezzi
Forgot - instead of an annual how about a festive magazine - depending on taste- Country Living, Garden Illustrated, Woman & Home
Mini panettone
Lip balm or a bright cheerie lipstick
Soap

BeaLola · 30/10/2020 00:11

I know Joules 25% off with Leaf was mentioned on thread 15 but just wanted to say when I was browsing it I thought some of the soft toys were lovely and some not too pricey - had unicorns, lovely puppy dogs and a gorgeous fox

TheCrow · 30/10/2020 01:12

@tootsnwoocake I'd consider making one myself but of course it depends on time and whether you want the faff. Things that could go in at under £1 per item to keep on budget-
Travel mini shower gels or shampoo-around 79/89p from savers, bodycare, Primark etc
Mini body sprays ditto
Bath bombs- home bargains do them for less than 99p usually
Hand gel bottle- saw the love hearts one in the pound shop
Cute soaps
Vaseline lip tin
Face mask- glitter or gold or one of those ones that looks like an animal face

mummyof2boys30 · 30/10/2020 06:23

Anyone after a playstation christmas jumper Asdas available online from today. I've been checking every day for weeks

Thank you. That's a great idea. I have an old m & a beauty calendar that I could refill. I'll have a think.

WisestIsShe · 30/10/2020 06:53

Can anyone recommend where to buy glass bead necklaces? My friend has a very definite type she likes and I don't know where to start looking? Thanks.

tootsnwoocake · 30/10/2020 06:57

@GazingAndGrazing thank you for the suggestions. I had looked at Lush but DD takes showers and rarely has a bath so the bombs wouldn't be used. She's a fussy one! Superdrug might be an option though.

Cinderellashoes · 30/10/2020 06:59

Anyone seen a grinch soft toy?

EvilHerbivore · 30/10/2020 07:00

There's one at John Lewis @Cinderellashoes

Not a Christmas bargain but this site has printable treasure hunt/ scavenger hunt and escape room games if anyone is looking for something to entertain dc on Saturday. The code BOO2020 takes 20% off purchases over $20

I’ve used one of her escape games for a birthday party. She has various themes.

And there is also a christmas section. The only thing is that the games are very similar across different themes so if you were planning to play with the same people again, bear that in mind.

nicky2512 · 30/10/2020 07:07

WisestlsShe I don’t know how to link but you could try Carrie Elspeth jewellery. I follow the Facebook page and there’s some beautiful bead stuff.

IveBeenGood · 30/10/2020 07:08

@bettyskitchen Selfridges may be a great place for you to have a hamper sent over. I have their UK and Europe delivery pass for £10 a year (you can choose day and time etc. It is great), and they do an international version which is £25 for the year. Packaging is always really pretty, but you’d have to pay £5 for additional gift wrap so they don’t get the receipt. If you’re not bothered by putting a note in or having the invoice removed, it won’t cost you any extra. Their food hall is fab and has loads of nice little things for Christmas too.

Chocolatecake12 · 30/10/2020 07:14

@tootsnwoocake amoora do shower bombs, you can buy them at holland and barrett and probably online. I haven't tried them but bought some for a friend recently.

dizzygirl1 · 30/10/2020 07:36

I'm the boots £5 Friday deal are benefit mini stocking items. Is that the best deal for them? DD would like some benefit make up and I'm not sure where to go for the best deal.
