please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@bettyskitchen gewurzhaus is an Australian herb and spice shop which does fantastically beautiful stuff, all manner of herbs and spices plus sugars and salts and chocolates and dried chillies etc, plus fancy kitchen bits and bobs. I can thoroughly recommend their stuff, have only ever bought in store but would happily order online.

Chocolateteabag · 29/10/2020 11:05

@bettyskitchen - not exactly what you asked for but The Book Depository does free international shipping. You could send your friend a cookery book?
Other than that we use Mighty Ape a lot to send stuff to New Zealand and they've always been pretty good?

ScoobySnacker · 29/10/2020 11:19

@recklessgran how about a new leotard for DD or gymnast shorts/leggings. Also IKEA do a gymnast mat

Moana123 · 29/10/2020 11:24

Super Mario Lego starter set is on offer George @ Asda

BigBadBox · 29/10/2020 11:26

@allJaneyJimplin is the subscription just for a year or is it something that will automatically renew expensively unless I set a reminder to cancel?

bettyskitchen · 29/10/2020 11:36

Thank you @tentative3 and @Chocolateteabag I'll take a look

Lovemusic33 · 29/10/2020 11:36

@WineandDine

For those that shop at Tokyo Laundry, what’s the quality of their stuff like? Some fairly scathing reviews online and I haven’t ordered from them before. Would be for dressing gown/PJs and possibly a hoodie for DH.
Have found it to be similar to super dry with sizing so on the small side but quality is good, dd has a Tokyo laundry hoodie that she’s had for a couple years and it still looks new.
Wtfdidwedo · 29/10/2020 11:48

Not particularly bargainous (although it seems it to me!) But this would make a great gift:

Has anyone seen a list of which magazines are included in the Molton Brown subscription offer? I can see it’s pay in full rather than direct debit subscription, but not sure whether it’s available on all of them
I had an email from them which included some of the magazines included.... in the Ts & Cs it says the offer will show at checkout & you have to tick yes to receive the offer, if the option isn’t available then it means that particular subscription isn’t included.

Hey! Thanks for everyone's advice on my questions!
Has anyone seen a good baby bath and doll toy? For a two year old
Thanks 😊

Emma10702 · 29/10/2020 12:20

I got a link to Penhaligons secret sale if anyone’s interested.

Thanks all for the Paw Patrol advice - a trip to Tesco was successful and I've managed to pick up some bargain monster trucks too so DS will be very pleased!

Someaddedsugar · 29/10/2020 12:33

@Shitfuckoh Morrison's had the Dino patrol set for £7.50 but didn't have the one DS likes (Rubble). In the Consett store they had Chase, the red one and the green one (no clue what they're called!) this morning if that helps. I'll be heading back that way on Saturday if I can call in and pick any up and post on?

Huge ask but has anyone by any chance seen a mixed race baby doll- first doll so would have to be small as is for a 1 year old.

I’ve either seen white ones or black ones but I’m hoping to find one white and Indian- so not too fair but also not so dark if that makes sense? It’s proving very difficult for me, hoping someone can help! Thanks so much

hiredandsqueak · 29/10/2020 12:53

Thank you for the magazine tip have ordered a subscription for exh from the dc. The giftcard made it much less of an irritation Grin

I saw some dolls on the John Lewis website that had a range of skin tones when I was browsing last week so might be worth a week look?
whoknows1230 · 29/10/2020 13:06
@whoknows1230 I just got my dh a 12 month triathlon magazine subscription and that scored me the £25 Molton brown voucher.

They've got loads of choices, so if I were you I'd think of a subject you like or someone you'd get a magazine subscription as a gift for, search it in the search bar and then check whether any of the results have the Molton brown offer.
@JaneyJimplin. Thank you - I’ll have a proper look when I’m on my computer instead of my phone.

whoknows1230 · 29/10/2020 13:07

@LostMyRubySlippers brilliant, thank you! X

WhereTheresAHill · 29/10/2020 13:10

Have you looked at Miniland dolls @4Minions2CallMyOwn ? They’re small enough for a 1 year old and have a range of ethnicities

Everyone that got the cheap gin hamper from M&S - it now says awaiting despatch on my order!!!!

mogtheexcellent · 29/10/2020 13:41

@EvilHerbivore

sadly peter pan goes wrong is not on DVD. I dont know why because it was hilarious. There are no plans to repeat it on the BBC either according to the michief theatre chap on twitter. He gets asked it a alot. It was on youtube until 18 months ago then it disappeared and I managed to track it down to a deleted youtube videos webite but it disappeared from there 6 months ago.

As you can see its a favourite of ours and our TV box crashed 2 years ago and we lost our recording. The TV series is great though.

LaughingM · 29/10/2020 13:45

Does anyone have a code for books4people?

(Which seems to be a reincarnation of The Book People? Very similar at least!)

I seem to remember a 10% off being posted a few threads ago but I can't find it again, and the only thing on their website is 5% off £50.

Yeknom · 29/10/2020 13:47

@l8toys oooooh mine too 👏
