please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

I have just seen an advert for Argos price reductions on Barbie and other brands up to 50% starting tomorrow.

Sneezein3s · 27/10/2020 21:41

Can anyone recommend a decent mountain bike for a 10 year old. Not too fussed about colour but it needs to be light. Halfords have one but at £280 it’s more than I’ve budgeted and there Apollo bikes are very heavy. Thanks

Smileatthesmallthings · 27/10/2020 21:43

@lifeinahamsterwheel I only ever buy Superdry stuff from the Ebay store and it has always been new and perfect. I once got a hoody that still had the security tag attached though so make sure you check it over before giving.

waitforitwaitforit · 27/10/2020 21:45

Thanks so much for that Superdry code @LifeInAHamsterWheel. I had a hoodie in my basket for DH so have saved £7 on it. Smile

MrsHaveLock · 27/10/2020 21:46

Does anyone have an Adidas code to spare please? My eldest has just picked 3 hoodies for his main present and all are full price.

Maranello · 27/10/2020 21:51

@MrsHaveLock 20% off at Adidas with code HL22-CXHC-BCPT-W7BWM

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 27/10/2020 21:57

@Sneezein3s we got our bikes from a local bike shop but I've heard great things about Decathlon bikes. They're very competitively priced in terms of quality. They're very helpful too so you might get some guidance from them as to what bike would suit best.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 27/10/2020 21:57

That's good to hear @Smileatthesmallthings Smile

MrsHaveLock · 27/10/2020 22:06

@maranello thank you so much. That's super.

danuta22 · 27/10/2020 22:07

someone asked about photo cushions, have got lovely ones from tesco's in the past

CompleteBarstool · 27/10/2020 22:11

I just bought these tiny little cactus fridge magnets as a stocking filler for DD...£1.06 for the ones in white pots, about £1 more for the ones in orange pots.

Reviews say they're tiny but cute, with a strong magnet. They popped up as a suggested purchase so thought it was worth a punt for just over a pound.

Those of you who have Photobox Ravensburger jigsaws for gifts, you might want to consider opening them. I got the smallest piece one (45piece I think) and it's fab. I opened it as it's for me from dh! Inside the puzzle was in a sealed plastic bag and when I opened it and tipped it onto the table there was a fair bit of thin blue 'trimmings' for want of a better word, must just be off the cutting process. So I had to pick the pieces out of that and clean that into the bin. The tin also had a picture of the photo I had ordered in it which looked a bit more like a receipt/paperwork thing (though I don't think it had price on) so I took that out too. The seals were easily undone and stuck back and I think it looks much better presented out of the plastic bag and without the paper in it. Just my opinion but wanted to give a heads up x

It's definitely worth looking on eBay for pre-loved kids bikes. We've managed to get a number of Specialized and Carrera's on there that have looked brand new for very reasonable prices. These 2 brands are very light bikes.
AnnaSW1 · 27/10/2020 22:14

@CompleteBarstool I just read your post and 10 seconds later I've bought them! They're cute!

girlsyearapart · 27/10/2020 22:19

I also ordered the baking mix bundle
( and some super dry stuff on eBay and the ticket to ride game and the cinnamon bun kit and stuff in the works sale. I am a huge sheep and being under house arrest isn’t
helping !)
Anyway baking mix check your e mail they have run out of some and are asking if I want a sub or to wait. Other people might be affected too

Itsonlymakebelieve · 27/10/2020 22:46

Thanks @Notlongnow1
I have also bought baking mix bundle

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts and @EvilHerbivore great shout on Wonderbly - the new sibling book looks brill for 2yo DD.

@CoffeeAndEnnui I’d never seen the pea pod dolls before, so cute! Definitely getting a couple of those, though am keeping them in my basket to see if they go down in price at all.

Thanks for all the ideas - really helpful Smile

Question about rideontoys4u I've had a parcel dispatch notice with only half my order in and nothing about the other half. Does anyone know if that is usual for them?

due to my technical issues this may have been raised already but thought I'd share anyway 🤣👍

Flibbertyjibbit · 27/10/2020 23:10

Anyone seen any coffee bundle gifts like Paddy & Scott? The only one they have is £36.99 which is more than I can afford for this gift. Hoping someone will know of a fab bargain. Wishing I'd not missed the paddy & scott one!

Spam88 · 27/10/2020 23:11

Boots Photo used to use Snapfish, but recently moved to CEWE. It's worth checking prices on CEWE directly - I've recently ordered some items that worked out a few quid cheaper that way.

They do still have the offer for £18.99 but I think you have to search. It’s not easy to find on their site paddyandscotts.shop/products/fuelling-ambition-starter-pack?_pos=1&_sid=4f43dcc47&_ss=r
