Thread 15 - the one where everyone must have the buns by now?!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Does anyone have a student code for sports direct? Why is delivery so expensive?!

PinkDaydreams · 27/10/2020 20:10

Hmmmm I'm getting annoyed with ASOS. I've noticed alot lately that when there's one of there 10/20% off offers on they put the previously reduced prices back up to full price. I know they aren't the only company to do it but it just seems recently they are doing it alot.

Gurufloof · 27/10/2020 20:14

@Notlongnow1 thanks for the baking mixes. Have never used but for a tenner delivered I'm willing to try. They are for me however.

LutherRalph1 · 27/10/2020 20:17

Argos have everything I need for the littlies on my list, saving me buying from a few
Places - are there any codes floating about please?

EvilHerbivore · 27/10/2020 20:18

@Carrie76 thanks for that
DS2 has SEN and needs to practice holding a pen properly/writing so trying to look for toys that encourage this without it feeling like a 'task' so hopeful this might fit the bill

Jojobythesea · 27/10/2020 20:29

@Reastie why can't I 'watch this thread' anymore on the app on my iPhone? Haven't been able to since the premium thing went live? 😫😫

Londoncatshed · 27/10/2020 20:29

@EvilHerbivore pick up sticks, is a great game that exercises the same pinch skills as holding a pen.

Dolphintrainer · 27/10/2020 20:33

@Notlongnow1 that’s a good offer, I’ve gone for it. I haven’t heard of them before but they have a good Instagram following.

myhobbyisouting · 27/10/2020 20:34

Thank you for the quidditch set and for reminding me I had £5 to spend!!

HoldingForGeneralHugs · 27/10/2020 20:37

@Jojobythesea im on the app on an iphone and had no problems?

Have you tried reinstalling it? Sometimes that helps

Reastie · 27/10/2020 20:38

@Jojobythesea I have absolutely no idea! Can you watch other threads from the app?

OP posts:
Notlongnow1 · 27/10/2020 20:39

Glad it was useful @gurufloof and @dolphintrainer. Think I may do the same!

myhobbyisouting · 27/10/2020 20:46

Also bought superfood bakery bundle

Baaaaaaa baaaaaaa

Jojobythesea · 27/10/2020 20:48
@Jojobythesea I have absolutely no idea! Can you watch other threads from the app?
No. None of them. I suppose it's naturally made me comment more so that I'm 'on' them rather than just watching but I do like just watching lots of threads!!!!

Oooo. I'm off to uninstall and reinstall 🤣👍

GazingAndGrazing · 27/10/2020 21:01

Please help, I would love to buy a large sofa cushion like this picture (cropped and sorted better than what I have/can manage) with the same wording.

I’m not even after a bargain Shock it just needs to be really good quality. Any ideas?

The company I created this pic with wants £40 plus £8 delivery and I’m not sure they are legit.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 27/10/2020 21:06

Also just bought the bakery sets, they’re gluten free so perfect for my Mum to try. Thanks @Notlongnow1

ScarlettDarling · 27/10/2020 21:07

Well I’m glad I read about people who have received their velvetisers and haven’t been charged. I got mine a week ago and noticed the day before it arrived that the payment had been taken. After reading the comments about people who haven’t been charged I thought I’d check my bank again and there’s no trace at all of the payment. I’m totally confused but glad I know as I need to make sure I don’t spend that money now. Thought my bank balance was looking healthy!!

PurpleSock · 27/10/2020 21:08

Very random request but does anyone have any recommendations for a spider catcher?

One of those things with bristles on the end of a stick that you "grab" with...

Will be a joke present so cheap as possible please, bonus points if it does a half decent job but thats not even essential!!

thelegohooverer · 27/10/2020 21:10

@EvilHerbivore we had a book and pen set like this when dd was younger for the same reason. I got ours in lidl.

Resistanceisfruitful · 27/10/2020 21:11

Glad everyone liked the Sapling Vodka, I've managed to resist opening it so far, but not sure it will make it to Christmas.

My offering today is Culinary Concepts up to 50% off sale Culinary Concepts
I've never ordered from them but they have some quite quirky home wares and furniture which looks interesting. Free delivery too with a £30 spend

thelegohooverer · 27/10/2020 21:12

@purplesock I have this one and I wouldn’t be without it!

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 27/10/2020 21:25

There's a Superdry shop on eBay, says the items are new and perfect condition - I hope so! I was buying a gilet and a bag for DS he's a skinny 13yr old and they do an XS size in mensware I noticed there was a code for 20% off. There's a min and max spend not sure of the min but the max is £75. It worked a treat for me Smile The code is POPUPOCT20

itsBoooisntit · 27/10/2020 21:27

@Bottl

Velvetiser - has anyone received theirs and not been charged for it? I read on the last thread that someone's pending payment was removed and then reapplied but can't remember if the poster said how much time was in between. My pending payment disappeared on Friday, velvetiser arrived Saturday but still no sign of payment coming off my cc.
Same here. Very odd. Had the delivery two weeks ago and no charge. Maybe Christmas has come early Wink
makingmiracles · 27/10/2020 21:30

Not strictly Christmas related but just read MSE email and if you sign up to McDonald’s app before midnight ‘this Sunday you get 50% of a Single order which is valid for 36 days. Ive just registered and now have 50% off one order available till 2nd dec, we don’t go very often but we will prob go sometime around ds bday late nov so that’s great as it will make our usually in the region of £30 order £15 ish.
