Hope you don’t mind the title @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts !

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Puffalicious

Is Celtic and Co's stuff worth it?
Yes, absolutely. I treated DD and I to a pair on last year's bargain threads and they're still like brand new. Will never buy cheap slippers again.
DinosaurOfFire · 20/10/2020 20:38

@Scanner20 The Entertainer might be the best deal, given how things seem to go out of stock I don't want to hang around for too long, especially as we are going into a national lockdown pn Friday (Wales) and we don't know what the rules will be when we come out of it. Tesco is £3 off, so £26 instead of £29 for the individual dolls, managed to get one of the colours my daughters are after.

Cheeky request -does anyone have a spare Sports Direct code? need a bit of help with the sportswear needed for my ever growing son!!

TheGriffle · 20/10/2020 20:43

I ordered the attached kraft paper from Amazon. Did not appreciate how huge it actually would be! I’ve attached pics with a 2l bottle of pop for scale. (Excuse my messy floors, I had to take a photo as soon as I opened it and haven’t tidied up from the kids yet!)

I’ve got some pretty Christmas string to go round the presents and ordered gingerbread and reindeer stickers so I can tell which presents belong to which child. Actually looking forward to wrapping now!

@DinosaurOfFire if it's something high on the list I'd probably go for it in this situation too.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 20/10/2020 20:48

Am I allowed to ask what happened @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts ?!

Last thread ended so quickly I must have missed it!

TheWildWoods · 20/10/2020 20:51

Thank you for the recommendations on the previous thread for books, unfortunately I managed to snap this history book up in a sale and on the back it shows the others in the collection and they're the ones he wants - figures because they're pricey and unfortunately being a cheap skate hasn't rubbed off on him haha

@TheGriffle how's the thickness of the paper? I want to get some once I run down my stocks of wrapping paper (seriously overbought a few years ago...) but worry about Kraft paper being too thick to wrap nicely?

thaegumathteth · 20/10/2020 20:58

Tesco have the Harry Potter invisibility cloak half price at £15

ChristmasCantComeSoonEnough · 20/10/2020 21:00

@TheGriffle I think you could wrap all our bargains with that roll.

Justyou · 20/10/2020 21:05

Don’t know if it will help anyone but I was looking on urban outfitters earlier at the chillys bottles, I left it to go make dinner then had an email from them for £20 off a £70 spend if I completed a survey (took 2 minutes) so it might be worth having a look at their site to see if you get one too.

PurpleSock · 20/10/2020 21:06

Does anyone have a recommendation for a bargain "grabber" machine? - I cant think wbats theyre actually called, but the things with the claw you control with a joystick.

I seem to remember them being quite popular a year or two ago and im thinking it'd make a great gift for the DC I have in mind

TheGriffle · 20/10/2020 21:09

@spam88 it feels very pliable, not too thin and not too thick! In between A4 and very thin card thickness I’d say. What I imagine good quality wrapping paper thickness to be. Feels like it will wrap well. Be sturdy enough on the corners but not too thick at all.

TheLastStarfighter · 20/10/2020 21:10

@Puffalicious thanks, I’ll take a look Smile

I need to know what bargainious price you paid for that beast please?

Really made me laugh, it’s something I would do!

ScoobySnacker · 20/10/2020 21:17

Typo have 20% off everything (except sale) with code UK20

Brashopper · 20/10/2020 21:18

Thank you, @TheGriffle. I think I’ve just ordered a lifetime’s supply of brown kraft paper.

ScoobySnacker · 20/10/2020 21:18

Has anyone seen any Hollister codes kicking around anywhere

TheDrsDocMartens · 20/10/2020 21:22

I’ve ordered that sort of paper but not as big also washi tape

Trumpton · 20/10/2020 21:24

@XFPW
Absolutely Celtic & Co .
I was seduced away last year by some bargainous sheepskin slippers and have been sad all year .
I bought some for adult son and he said “Mum, they changed my life “
Daughter got frost nipped toes and suffers from chilblains she won’t wear anything else .
I am going back this year !
Have a look on the thread I think there are 15% off and free postage .

LoopyGremlin · 20/10/2020 21:27

@PurpleSock
Let me know if you find one as my daughter wants a claw machine too🤣

thelegohooverer · 20/10/2020 21:36

@PurpleSock @loopygremlin Keep an eye on Aldi over the next couple of weeks. I got one a couple of years back and it tends to pop up every year in their Christmas gifts. It’s still going strong and hugely popular with visitors. I caught ds fleecing his slightly drunken uncle last Christmas who was pumping in the 50c coins in vain attempts of winning a mini mars.

TheGriffle · 20/10/2020 21:36

@GazingAndGrazing £11.35 for the beast!

TheGriffle · 20/10/2020 21:38

Our local Cherry Lane garden centre sells toy claw machines at Christmas. Think they’re £20 normally.

LoopyGremlin · 20/10/2020 21:38

Will do @thelegohooverer. Thanks!
