Hope you don’t mind the title @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts !

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

GazingAndGrazing · 20/10/2020 21:48
@GazingAndGrazing £11.35 for the beast!
I’d be very tempted to wrap everything in the lounge, dining room, cars in it and blame the fucking elf...

Fridgeandkitchen · 20/10/2020 21:52

I’m looking for 4 pairs of slipper socks if anyone has seen anything. They don’t have to match.

aimslou · 20/10/2020 21:52

@PurpleSock
I ordered my ds one last year for Christmas and he loved it! It was from Amazon about £20 then I ordered some plastic balls with toys in to go in and with some sweets

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 20/10/2020 21:52

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua

Am I allowed to ask what happened *@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts* ?!

Last thread ended so quickly I must have missed it!

I'd asked my DH to hide my bargainous prime day Barbie Dream House, and instead he put it in our loft spare room completely uncovered... right in front of the door to the crawl space where he could have easily put it out of sight. There was also a pile of blankets and a duvet on the bed that he could have at least draped over it! So naturally DD discovered it 🤦‍♀️
caffeineanddryshampoo · 20/10/2020 21:57

@XFPW

Can anyone recommend men’s slippers...?

Requirements are:

 • good quality - they need to last - with DH working from home now, he’s in slippers more than shoes!
 • very comfortable - see above.
 • must have a heel-back on them - he can’t be doing with slip on because he hates “the slipper shuffle” as he calls it.
 • must have a decent solid sole - the kind that can cope with going in and out to put the bins out etc.

He’s had Mahabis for the last 4 years and loved them. They have been worn to death and now have holes in them so needs new ones. Mahabis however, have changed their design and he didn’t find the new ones comfortable so they have been sent back - not spending £80 on something he doesn’t love.

Happy to spend a bit on them, but would rather get a bargain obviously!

Moshulu do men's slippers and they have 25% off at the moment. This is the second time in this thread I've mentioned them I don't work for them I promise!
gavisconismyfriend · 20/10/2020 21:58

@TidyOmlette there’s a referral code for £10 off if you haven’t used qvc before. That would bring the price down a bit. I’ve got one if you PM me, or there’s lots on the referral thread.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 20/10/2020 22:13

Oh no @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts ! Have you forgiven him yet? I bet DD was delighted!

Puffalicious · 20/10/2020 22:14

Thanks for feedback on Celtic and Co everyone.

I saw brown paper and tags in B&M the other day £1 each. Roll was 3m I believe and 15 tags. I used Post Office rolls at £1 last year and they were fantastic- pretty ribbon, printed plain tags with my Xmas stamps and hey presto, gorgeous wrapping. I'm not ever doing it differently ever again.

DaisyChops · 20/10/2020 22:17

@thaegumathteth thanks for the tip of the Harry Potter invisibility cloak, I was just looking at that on bargainmax and then I saw your message!
Tesco also have a pack of 4 funko pop Harry Potter figures half price for £20 which is a good deal!

SecretDancer · 20/10/2020 22:21

Thanks for the Kraft Paper link that a massive bargain, I usually use this for normal presents with poncey ribbon etc and a traditional printed one for Father Christmas presents.

My Claire's order arrived today, despite missing the extra 40% code I'm quite happy so going to keep, especially these earrings for me Grin 🦕I have a 15 off Claire's accessories code, pm if anyone wants it

Lovemusic33 · 20/10/2020 22:25

@PurpleSock

Does anyone have a recommendation for a bargain "grabber" machine? - I cant think wbats theyre actually called, but the things with the claw you control with a joystick.

I seem to remember them being quite popular a year or two ago and im thinking it'd make a great gift for the DC I have in mind

I think groupon has them, they keep popping up on my Facebook adds.
Dreamingofwalden · 20/10/2020 22:52

@TheGriffle thanks for that: the Beast of Brown Paper will go beautifully with my ribbons. Of course I’ll use it in conjunction with my sturdy sellotape dispenser from last year’s thread. Grin

I don’t need to worry about running out of paper if we end up in lockdown.

Last year I used stamps to decorate brown paper with my son. They’re in our Christmas box so will come out again soon. It was an easy Christmas craft which he enjoyed. I’m all for child labour Wink.

woodwaj · 20/10/2020 23:16

@PurpleSock I ordered this one but it dropped to £22 when I got it
