Hope you don’t mind the title @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts !

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Is Celtic and Co's stuff worth it?

GazingAndGrazing · 20/10/2020 18:02

*MASK30 gets you 30% of with Vitamasques

Just received my first order and it’s fab. I have a £5 each referral on the referral thread if needed.

recklessgran · 20/10/2020 18:10

@Puffalicious not sure really. I got some sheepskin insoles [ can't remember which year] but anyway they drove me nuts as they just kept shedding. I'm sorry not being much help as I'm still procrastinating about whether or not to use the code just for the hell of it!

Emma10702 · 20/10/2020 18:13

@Scanner20 thanks. Arcade lol boy is on my DDs list

Scrambledbeans · 20/10/2020 18:18

Does anyone have a code for the white company? I feel like I scrolled past one but can’t seem to find it!

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 20/10/2020 18:19

@recklessgran they really are so sweet! I spent ages trying to find something unbreakable for my clumsy little ones, and these fit the bill nicely. ☺️

Mustangsallyis · 20/10/2020 18:22

I can't remember who it was that was looking for a candy floss maker but B&M had them in store for £15 this morning

XFPW · 20/10/2020 18:29

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already (apologies if it has) but Tesco has various Lego sets half price

I was in today for the first time in over a week, so this may not be new news, but noticed a good few sets at decent prices. The only one I could actually name was the Lego Friends Mia’s Treehouse which was £12.50 and as it’s on DNeice’s Christmas list, that was a handy find and another one ticked off the list.

IggyAce · 20/10/2020 18:40

Just got the DK space encyclopaedia from my local TK Maxx for the bargain price of £4.99. DS will love it he is really enjoying this topic in school.

Ifonlyicouldliveinmypjs · 20/10/2020 18:53

@TheCrow I had the same with my Claire’s order. I was in the area this morning so popped into the shop and asked. I had made 2 separate orders and they were both there. I only ever got the dispatch order which came last Thursday.

thelegohooverer · 20/10/2020 18:53

I thought I was being very savvy last week when I chose click and collect at Claire’s instead of paying for delivery but now Ireland is going into lockdown and non essential retail is closing.

MsMiaWallace · 20/10/2020 18:55

Just discovered Argos have a giant plush whale shark for £15.00.
It looks epic!!

WisestIsShe · 20/10/2020 19:11

I've just opened the sapling vodka, couldn't resist. It's really nice, tastes like good quality iykwim, smooth. Not describing it well, I'm no connoisseur.
The bottle looks great too, if you've bought it for a gift I'm sure it'll be very well received.

EdmundElephantIsACleverClogs · 20/10/2020 19:18

@Hophop26 thanks I hadn't thought of Facebook messenger will do that now!

It's not a massive amount of money but it's the principle of it that's annoying me more than anything I think Confused

I can't work out at all how they got to the price they have taken from my bank account when it's more than the original order this is missing half the items!

Jfw82 · 20/10/2020 19:27

Thanks for updating - I'm due two bottles next week, one for me and one for my SIL who used to work in a cocktail bar and knows her spirits so hoping she will like it Grin
XFPW · 20/10/2020 19:33

@thelegohooverer Nooooo! What a nightmare! I’m sure you’re not the only person in that position with orders from many shops going in thick and fast in the run up to Christmas.

We’re up north so I have the opposite problem of shops all open, but kids all off school! Will need to steal myself away for a few hours up to Belfast and leave the DC to their school work otherwise I’ll never get finished.

DinosaurOfFire · 20/10/2020 19:50

Has anyone seen the Rainbow High dolls reduced (other than Tesco, my local ones don't have the colours I need). Also hunting for an offer on the Rainbow High Fashion Studio set, which at £49.99 is more than I would like to spend! They seem to be quite new out so I might be after the moon on a stick.

Puffalicious · 20/10/2020 19:59

Thanks for the info recklessgran I know what you mean about using the voucher for the hell of it- my credit card is not thanking me for these decisions! Thinking of the slippers but not sure- shedding would also drive me insane.

TheLastStarfighter · 20/10/2020 19:59

In your bargain-hunting, has anyone come across men’s jersey pj trousers in a long leg length? Ideally whimsical ones (superhero’s/characters/whatever).

M&S and Next used to do them in long lengths, but they are all just S/M/L/XL sizing now.

DinosaurOfFire · 20/10/2020 20:06

@TheLastStarfighter Primark usually do character pjs bottoms and I've always found them quite long. Or Frugi usually do winter pj sets towards Christmas and again they're quite long in the leg too

TheLastStarfighter · 20/10/2020 20:10

Oh Frugi are a good idea! I can’t get to a Primark unfortunately.

Puffalicious · 20/10/2020 20:11

I ordered the Tokyo Laundry PJ bottoms (deal in last thread)- great quality and look pretty long for tall DS.

XFPW · 20/10/2020 20:13

Can anyone recommend men’s slippers...?

Requirements are:

  • good quality - they need to last - with DH working from home now, he’s in slippers more than shoes!
  • very comfortable - see above.
  • must have a heel-back on them - he can’t be doing with slip on because he hates “the slipper shuffle” as he calls it.
  • must have a decent solid sole - the kind that can cope with going in and out to put the bins out etc.

He’s had Mahabis for the last 4 years and loved them. They have been worn to death and now have holes in them so needs new ones. Mahabis however, have changed their design and he didn’t find the new ones comfortable so they have been sent back - not spending £80 on something he doesn’t love.

Happy to spend a bit on them, but would rather get a bargain obviously!

Scanner20 · 20/10/2020 20:24

@DinosaurOfFire the entertainer have the offer on spend and save but yes I guess as they are new they might take a while to come down in price. I'm not sure how cheap they are in Tesco, also it depends how popular they are when you wait it out until they end up on offer.

WisestIsShe · 20/10/2020 20:28

@xfpw I've bought Fenland sheepskin slippers for DF. I wanted sheepskin, with a back and with a solid sole. I got them in tk maxx for£30 but if I remember correctly they were also on brand alley for £40.
