Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Penguinbeaver thank you so much for the cookie cutter link-I’ve literally been looking for these for 5 years since I saw a pic on Pinterest one year...

Mipe · 11/10/2020 08:41

@CoffeeAndEnnui thank you so much, it was too late to cancel but at that bargain price I have bought 3 more! Grin

BooSurprise · 11/10/2020 08:45

I had an Early Prime day deal email today, Echo dot was £18.99 amongst other things, I'm not sure if it was specific to me, but worth a look if you have on on your list and you are a Prime member.

My dd is looking for the Polly Pocket mega mall if anyone sees it or indeed any other PP items on sale I’d be very grateful.

sorryiasked · 11/10/2020 08:48

@Boosurprise I'm not eligible for the echo ad I had a cheap one last year. Fingers crossed there's a decent prime day/ black Friday reduction as I need another.

ShandlersWig · 11/10/2020 08:56

Would it be better to wait til Cyber Monday or Black Friday ok for a new phone contract?

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 11/10/2020 08:56

Carrie76, they had some small Polly Pocket sets for (I think) £2.99 in my TKMaxx last week.

Sorry I've just realised you have to order it via your Alexa device to get the deal Hmm, still it seems generic, if you have Prime and one order per device.
IggyAce · 11/10/2020 08:57

@Carrie76 try home bargains for polly pocket my local one had a few sets in. I got my dn the owl camping set for £4.99 they are over £10 on amazon.

I bought it last year for half price in early November from Argos so hopefully they will go the same again this year. I have picked up smaller sets reduced in Home Bargains, The Range and Poundworld recently (not for £1 in there but starting at £2)
Carrie76 · 11/10/2020 09:05

Many thanks for all the PP messages, I’m based in Ireland so will try all the Irish branches and the online UK ones

Hazelnutlatteplease · 11/10/2020 09:11

Theonlyoneiknow · 11/10/2020 09:17

carrie76 I got the PP mega mall for £12 on Amazon Black Friday last year

boobybum · 11/10/2020 09:20

Carrie76 · 11/10/2020 09:27

@Theonlyoneiknow wow £12! Fingers crossed they reduce it by that much again this year

oxcat1 · 11/10/2020 09:32

@ArthurChristmas2: I would support an Alexa idea too. I have a visually impaired niece and she uses her radio a lot for just getting quick answers that the rest of us would just look up without a second's thought. She can shout across from wherever she is (so no navigating spaces), and the virtual world is there in an instant. Audiobooks, podcasts, music, weather, timers, etc. Would really recommend for your mother.

CandyCaneLane0 · 11/10/2020 09:35

Check your emails from Argos, I've just been sent a code for free delivery

NotEnoughTime · 11/10/2020 09:36

Morning. Not very Christmassy I know but Shoeaholics have some really good deals on their website at the moment for anyone looking for shoes/boots. They usually give 10% or 20% off to first time customers as well.

Spam88 · 11/10/2020 09:38

Regarding the Red Letter Days discount, in case anyone is new to the thread, you can get this 3 course meal for 2 at Prezzo for £20 with the discount - we've done it a few times and would definitely recommend.

A few other £30ish options that look alright:

Bottomless pizza for 2 at Gordon Ramsey's Street Pizza restaurant for £20

3 course meal and a cocktail for 2 at Cabana for £29

Christmas food hamper two for £22

Code was SAVE10 for £10 off a £30 spend.

Hophop26 · 11/10/2020 09:42

@GoblinDaughter we had a Disney Princess beauty advent calendar last year which was perfect for 3-4 year olds obsessed with little girl make up etc but I can’t find it anywhere this year. I was thinking making my own, even if use 24 little envelope style calendar, quite a few places have sets of the budget play make up That could then be split over several days, I got one in home bargains last week for £2.99 that has 5-6 things in

Threeoleary · 11/10/2020 09:45

@BooSurprise How do you order through Alexa? Don't want to mess it up but I'd really like to get the echo dot at that price.
