Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Someaddedsugar

I don't suppose anyone know where I can get some wicker hampers - fortnum and mason style - without spending a fortune?
Whistlefish have black ones, £12.50 medium and £15.00 large
CeeceeBloomingdale · 10/10/2020 17:43

Also hobbycraft have the natural ones, about £8 from memory

Purpleheadgirl · 10/10/2020 17:53

Clintons had these love candles in range of sizes. This is votive reduced from £14 to £5...but then also buy 1 get 1 free!! Next size approx whisky glass size i think was 10 and there was one larger. Don't think offer is on for long though

@PinkJam They had a few Playdoh sets in Asda today. Only had a quick look as we bought DS his first tub. There was a cooking style one where you can make food bits for £8 and they had some others there for around £11.

Luxplus · 10/10/2020 18:02

@AmIReallyThough

ZIGGY911 they definitely had the S sack in Cheadle Stockport. Sorry, would have grabbed and posted had I known (just looked back to see what your letter was). I knew someone wanted an F but no F there. Will look again next time I’m there unless you happen to be nearby?

Does anyone know where I can get the plastic wrapping for making a hamper from please? I am not sure of its proper name which is probably why I am struggling to find it!

gavisconismyfriend · 10/10/2020 18:08

@Cinders22 cellophane wrap. Hobby craft or amazon.

MissingMo · 10/10/2020 18:09

@Cinders22 its called cellophane and you can get it lots of places, Amazon or The Works definitely do some. The works usually do some with designs on too.

Cinders22 · 10/10/2020 18:10

I got my mil a couple of these silicone pot lids on Ali Express last year as her heart was broken with her new induction hob switching off every time a pot boiled over. She loved them so much that I bought more for myself and I find them great too. When a pot boils up, the petals on the lid let the water through and it’s captured in the lid by its own weight. I got them as a hostess gift rather than a Christmas gift as they’re a bit too practical and there probably won’t be much hostessing this year. But I thought I’d share anyway. The seller was Do Bestest Store

purplepandas · 10/10/2020 19:18

Does anyone have any ideas for a Disney loving female (35 ish) who has just had a baby. Needs to be postable as long distance. I am rather stuck. Thinking £15 max if any inspired ideas. Thanks.

TheCrow · 10/10/2020 19:22

@purplepandas Primark have some really nice Disney gifts near christmas- they have a lovely Angel (girl version of stitch) hot water bottle cover at the moment, they usually have nice fleece blankets and PJ's as well if you want to go for a sort of comfy/cosy theme
