Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@littlestpogo I've pm'd you a 25% off at Boden - full priced items only and orders over £30 but the best I can do.

recklessgran · 07/10/2020 20:06

I have a set of Matalan codes that expire at midnight if anyone wants one.

PowerslidePanda · 07/10/2020 20:07

@Grrrpredictivetex - Thank you for the Lakeland tea plate suggestion at the end of the previous thread; perfect for one of my hard-to-buy-for relatives!

littlestpogo · 07/10/2020 20:08

Thanks so much @recklessgran. That’s perfect!

Mumto3thatsme · 07/10/2020 20:10

curve gets you £10 off lingerie at Simply Be if anyone’s looking

Lurleene · 07/10/2020 20:27

Another one, just had an email to say Neal's Yard have a beauty box worth £90 which you can buy for 25 if you have a £40 spend. A good deal if you are buying gifts from there or even a treat for yourself as a reward for all the bargain hunting. Smile

Lockdownhairdontcare · 07/10/2020 20:28

Thank you @lifelongfrugaleer. Utterly ace name btw! X

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 07/10/2020 20:29

@Aponcetasticchristmastoall My cox and cox referral wasn't used, will repost it on the referrals thread - would be much appreciated x

PinkJam · 07/10/2020 20:36

@thaegumathteth Thank you very much for the Amazon deal. And thank you for the recommendation of Cox and Cox. I have had a look on their website and the reversible paper with gold on one side is currently sold out but I will keep checking.

@XFPW Thank you for the recommendation. Hopefully if it comes back in stock I will be able to use a referral code because as you say, an incredible bargain for such lovely wrapping paper.

@Jacopone @BeaLola Thank you both, I will go into town at the weekend and check those stores Smile

@gavisconismyfriend Thank you for the referral offer. I will get back to you if the paper comes back in stock Smile

ProseccoandPizza · 07/10/2020 20:55

Can’t remember who wanted gold wrapping paper but Poundland have gold and copper/bronze 3m for £1 atm. I got some for my son’s 10th birthday this weekend!

PinkJam · 07/10/2020 21:02

@ProseccoandPizza Me! Thank you Smile

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 07/10/2020 21:04

Thank you to @Oreocrumbs and @IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile for the Turtle Doves info. The colour choice wouldn't matter so much if it was just me, but poor MIL would be a bit gutted if she received a colour she didn't like and had to pretend she did! She is lovely and gets very cold hands, hence why I thought they'd be a good idea Smile

Small business recommendation here for the Chocolate Cafe - they have 20% off all their mail order stuff with code OFFER20. I contacted them to check on best before dates and was told that all their chocolate is good for six months, so should be fine to order for Christmas presents. I have ordered already and will selflessly be trying some when it arrives, just to make sure it's fine for everyone else, you understand Grin

whatwillicallmyself · 07/10/2020 21:08

@Thaegumathteth thank you for the Amazon deal, while I was looking for it on the app I also saw another one £5 credit when you download a book for 0.00 so I got that too so £10 of my £25 purchase

whatwillicallmyself · 07/10/2020 21:10

I thought I attached the picture if the deal I will try again

Hey the Dunedin Cashmere scarves are back down to £6 again. I missed them the last time but just picked up a couple of tartan ones for my dad & grandad.

I've just downloaded mumsnet as I realised I have hardly done any Christmas shopping.

Usually by now I have bought loads thanks to these threads.

(I deleted MN back in Feb when the covid threads were doing good nothing for my anxiety)...

Now to scroll back 😩 only 11 threads to read ha!

WithIcePlease · 07/10/2020 21:35

@Lockdownhairdontcare - re buns
£3.50 just purchased here

mumontherun14 · 07/10/2020 21:35

Can never seem to get the Buns either!!!

allatonce99 · 07/10/2020 21:37

Thank you to the PP who posted about £30 off a £60 spend at very when opening a credit account. Very pleased to get the Paw Patrol Dino Patroller for £35 instead of £65! I have also been charged p&p as they didn't give a click and collect option so will complain about that and see what they say. Code Q4R3U needed once account opened or Google the offer for details.

thelegohooverer · 07/10/2020 21:39

If anyone sees long sleeved, long legged summer weight Minecraft pyjamas anywhere I’d really appreciate a heads up.

WithIcePlease · 07/10/2020 21:42

Oh no - are the bottom ones of these the wrong buns?? 435g it says which is v different from top ones :-/
