Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Thank you so much @gavisconismyfriend for the Joseph Joseph tip off - not only did I get 20% off with code JJ20%BDAY but I also somehow qualified for a free gift with purchase, so I got the soap dispenser (£15) already in my basket entirely FREE! Total savings of £29.40, almost half the cost of my whole order!

LutherRalph1 · 10/10/2020 11:31

@PinkDaydreams I got a half price one from Instore at Smyths

Trytowin20 · 10/10/2020 11:32

@4Minions2CallMyOwn thank you it's an 'F' present sack I'm looking for. I have one for my daughter, this one's for bump. 💜 Thank you. I've got 2 of the 3 of my name list initials with view to return the not needed ones (but considering how gutted I was not to get an F maybe it's not so much a list anymore 🤣🤦)

@buckeejit thanks it's the £6 sack I'm after in an F 💜

@ZIGGY911 thank you I'll look next time I'm in, I must have looked through 50 or so sacks in the two shops the third branch I tried didn't carry them or the stockings.🤦

@ScoobySnacker I’ve got my eye on the Sarah Miller oven gloves with flamingos on in John Lewis. They’re gorgeous but £25.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 10/10/2020 11:40

Does anyone know if master to malt ever do sales or discount codes? I’m looking to order a few bottles

UselessInDisguise · 10/10/2020 11:46

Has anyone a code for jlewis? I need to buy dc2 a car seat and they're frightfully expensive Confused

gavisconismyfriend · 10/10/2020 11:47

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts good skills with the Joseph Joseph order!! I daren’t look at the website, I’ll want it ALL for me!

ScoobySnacker · 10/10/2020 11:48

They are so lovely @Ifonlyicouldliveinmypjs now I want flamingo ones Grin

Emma10702 · 10/10/2020 11:51

@BlackCat04 thank you. I’ve been hoping the dolce gusto machines come down in price as I would like one for Xmas for myself.

Beadley · 10/10/2020 11:53

I just caved on the Oodies.... I thought I could hold firm but nope.... there are amazon version and child sized unicorn versions winging their way to me too....this is definitely the year of the Oodie...

My 8 year old would love a barbie house....I’m balking at spending that much money on one thing, and one that takes up so much space when she already has our generation dolls and campervan etc.

fourquenelles · 10/10/2020 11:54

My £12 knock off Oodie arrived yesterday. The model they use must be 4 feet tall and weigh 6 stone soaking wet BUT I am 5'4" and weigh 16 stone (down from 18.12 whoop whoop) therefore it fits more like a big hoodie. However it is warm and snuggly and neighbours say I look like Mrs Christmas!

HERE FOR CHEAP OODIE

Beadley · 10/10/2020 11:54

Sorry I posted before I was ready....for those who have barbie houses, are they worth it? Are they flimsy?

Clevererthanyou · 10/10/2020 11:59

The London Sock company are giving a £10 no minimum purchase voucher to anyone who signs up for an account with them. They have socks for a tenner that look nice and delivery is £3.50. Perhaps a "posh present" for difficult to buy for men? Here's my voucher code as they don't have the size I need. O20B5SBB

Luxplus · 10/10/2020 12:03

@TildaTurnip Dane her and småfolk go by cm measurement because that's what we use in Denmark. So go by how tall your child is and then they spand between 2 cm sizes. Dd age 4 is 100 cm and uses 98-104. Its "made" for Danes who tend to be quite tall built. Hope it helps.
The quality is great I think.

Luxplus · 10/10/2020 12:06

@Beadley do you have a link to the unicorn oodie.?
Dd has a rapunzel house that can close and it's not flimsy and takes less space because it can be folded.

I've ordered a few times from them & have never known them to have a code or sale. I think they do free delivery on some items & free delivery over £100 for the other things.
ClaraLane · 10/10/2020 12:13

@ScoobySnacker

I am looking for a nice set of oven gloves for DD14. Nothing shouting at me from Next, Lakeland etc. Any recommendations for something different? Something cute with animals or similar.
Check out Sophie Allport.

@Luxplus - this is the kids unicorn hoodie I ordered, can’t vouch for the quality as it hasn’t arrived. www.amazon.co.uk/Blanket-Sweatshirt-Oversized-Pullover-Bathrobe/dp/B07YWXTJMX/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=cuddly+toy+hoodie&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1602328372&sr=8-2

(Sorry for the huge link)

Oodie themselves do unicorn pattern ones but they would swamp my girls.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2020 12:17

They (Master of Malt) do flash sales on selected items. And there is cashback via the usual sites.

Madonnawiththebigboobies · 10/10/2020 12:20

Joules often have mice oven gloves

Madonnawiththebigboobies · 10/10/2020 12:21

Nice not mice

Oh, were you sharing so I could buy presents for OTHER people? 😳 It's all for us 🤣

Puffalicious · 10/10/2020 12:28

Just received my Groupon fake oodie and I'm disappointed: it's thin and not as big as I had imagined it might be. Not worth the £19 I don't think. Shame.

Shitfuckoh · 10/10/2020 12:42

I really want to look at the Joseph Joseph stuff but know I will come away with an empty bank account Shock

CarrotVan · 10/10/2020 12:44

Anyone seen fossil hunting starter kits at better than £45? That’s the price on UKGE which is my usually place for fossil things

And thank you for the Tesco Lego link - I also picked up a wooden chess/draughts/backgammon set with the weekly shop.

Once I source a fossil kit I’m pretty much done for my kids and DH (who has actually come up with an idea)
