Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Brashopper thank you - I now have a selection of Spode Christmas tree tableware winging it's way to me. SO excited.
Went to Dunelm this evening for the gorgeous red nutcracker baubles - thank you so much to whoever posted about those little fellas they're gorgeous and will look great on my big trad red/gold themed tree.
Lots of the gingerbread man maple syrup on the shelves too - didn't get any of that as I don't think any of us like it but the assistant said they are just getting all their range in.

@Connellschain
If he is into single malt whisky as opposed to american whiskey - bourbon, you might check the whiskyexchange website. Some fine specimens listed there.

I don’t drink whisky at all but my husband always comes back to Lagavulin. Says, it’s the queen of whiskies.
I think they all stink😅

BeaLola · 10/10/2020 01:34

I drink Lagavulin - it's very peaty - my Dad drinks whisky too - he favours Talisker, Glengidfich, Laphroaigh

Elskerdeg · 10/10/2020 01:35

@Connellschain
Another vote for Lagavulin!
Can't imagine anyone who likes whiskey would be disappointed with it.

DumplingsAndStew · 10/10/2020 01:42

Buns! Finally!

Whattodowithaminute · 10/10/2020 07:17

@Connellschain I’ve bought from
Masters of malt before and they have a good selection of international whiskies. Not very bargain outs but plenty about the £60 mark

Whattodowithaminute · 10/10/2020 07:18

Bargainous apologies!

ZIGGY911 · 10/10/2020 07:20

@Avoca76

I’m looking at getting a Microsoft Surface 3 and there is currently £100 off with a My John Lewis card. Does anyone know if this is likely to be the best deal or whether I would be better off waiting until Black Friday?
They did offers last year and bundles but I had a new one so couldn't definitely confirm. Could you buy it now if it falls under the Christmas refund policy and return it and get a refund if it's cheaper. I did that with iPhones a few years ago and they were absolutely fine about it.
Jacopone · 10/10/2020 07:24

@DumplingsAndStew

Buns! Finally!
No! The sodding buns have brought an atavistic hunting spirit in me. My ancestors probably were going hungry all the time as clearly I’m no hunter gatherer!Grin

GAH! Have missed almost an entire thread what with life etc. Pffft.
Sitting with a cuppa and catching up. Happy Saturday y'all.
Don't know how much longer dp is going to fall for the "oh it's just stuff from the spare room I need to sort through" with the ginormous pile up f boxes!

@Emma10702 Powell craft do gorgeous traditional nightdresses, lots of different styles.

eliope · 10/10/2020 07:28

@Connellschain there's an amazing Japanese whisky that my dh would sell his liver for. It's highly regarded and makes for an interesting change, nice bottle too. I'm just finishing a night shift but when I'm home I'll check the name.

@BadgerFace

Smafolk Advent Surprise Box Eur53 down from Eur134

I had some lovely items in this last year for DD2. It’s pot luck but there’s an active Facebook Smafolk selling page so I am happy to take the risk some of the items might not be to my taste. You get 4-6 items at approx. 1/3 of retail price.
Last year we got 2 gorgeous dresses, two long sleeve tops and a skirt. We had some penguin and deer prints included so very festive!

Thanks for this. What is the sizing like?
Someaddedsugar · 10/10/2020 08:20

Some good bargains in the Kidlyy* sale

Brogues · 10/10/2020 08:22

Was someone looking for a cushioned lap tray recently?
