Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can buy a Lego T-shirt that’s not the official Lego store? It’s for a 3 year old so nothing with too many swords etc! I’ve found some in Next but wondered if there were any more high street shops thanks them.

HoneyPea · 08/10/2020 20:55

@AndddddHerewegoagain How did you contact them? I sent them a message on Facebook this morning but haven't had a reply!

applepinkierainbow · 08/10/2020 20:57

@anypossibleway I have bought some Lego clothes in H&M

I was wondering if anyone has bought the IWOOT kids sweatshirts - I am trying to work out whether to buy 7-8 or 9-10 for an average sized 8 year old and wondered if they come up big or small?

NeedMoreTea · 08/10/2020 21:02

@I8toys Thanks! I was about to buy that advent calendar from Boots for £20.

IggyAce · 08/10/2020 21:03

@applepinkierainbow someone earlier today posted that they were huge.

Yeknom · 08/10/2020 21:06

@Lockdownlumpy - id say Gap is definitely more of a snug fit. My daughter is 5 and slim build and gap leggings just about stay up on her. They're pjs are great and definitely for slim jims!!

She can wear age 5 in toddler Gap but I'd say she's of average height.

If you prefer a baggier fit then you could probably go XS in Hap kids.

Hope this helps :)

HoneyPea · 08/10/2020 21:06

@AndddddHerewegoagain Thank you 😊 x

nightcap · 08/10/2020 21:07

Thanks so much for gap delivery code 4Minions2CallMyOwn - got a lovely gift for a new baby! Really appreciate it Smile

littlestpogo · 08/10/2020 21:07

@applepinkierainbow - mine arrived this evening and they are ridiculously large.

My 8 1/2 DS is in the smaller side (about 130 cm) and the age 5/6 I bought for his brother fitted him ( the 5-6 was significantly larger than an Adidas 7-8 hoody for example).

There are also very wide. I’m trying to work out whether to buy my youngest the age 3-4 or just get them both something different ( although think you pay for IWOOT returns )

whatwillicallmyself · 08/10/2020 21:08

@MWestie I just pressed prime on my app and scrolled down through the offers, I cant see it now, I dont know if that's because I have used it or because they keep changing them, sorry I'm not much help.

applepinkierainbow · 08/10/2020 21:10

Thank you @IggyAce and @littlestpogo

She's quite slim so will have a think.
@Makedo it was me after the Klean Kanteen! I have a Cafe Cup that my husband lost the butterfly screw from Hmm. I’m a teacher and coffee gets me through the day. I pass a TK Maxx on the way home from work so will go and stalk next week. Thank you! ❤️
Did you know you can get a spare lid? Klean Kanteen are really good with spares so might be worth emailing them if it’s just the screw part that’s got lost www.kleankanteen.co.uk/products/cafe-cap

I've managed to get the syrup on click and collect at Dunhelm. A few local stores had sold out but I'm real life shopping tomorrow so found stock there. Do I need these in my life too???

ZIGGY911 · 08/10/2020 21:39

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight

Looks like Dunelm have sold out of the syrup already! Will try and pop in tomorrow in real life shopping.
You can check local stores on click and collect. You then can just park outside and they will bring the order out to your car.
foilflower · 08/10/2020 21:49

The IWOOT sweatshirts have random sizing. I bought two in 7-8. One is the size I expected (non Christmas), the other is massive (Christmas).

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 08/10/2020 21:52

Apologies if it's been posted and I missed it, but The Entertainer has £5 off £25 with code 5OFF25 and this worked on toys already on offer in their sale (I bought a Barbie I was buying from Smyths for £5 cheaper)

Givealittlebit · 08/10/2020 21:54

@ZIGGY911 that Santa rubber duck set is incredible! Might have to go hunting now

Shieldingending · 08/10/2020 21:55

Can anyone who bought an oodie tell me where they entered the discount code? I can't see where to put it in!

recklessgran · 08/10/2020 21:57

Please can somebody point me in the direction of the bargainous Spode Christmas tree design crockery? I've ignored it in previous years whenever it's popped up on here as we usually go out for Christmas dinner but obviously that's not possible this year. Now I think I really need this stuff and my Christmas isn't going to be complete without it. I've just ordered some pieces from Brand Alley but I'm sure I remember there being somewhere to get multiples at bargainous prices. Many thanks for any help with this.

allatonce99 · 08/10/2020 22:04

@Shieldingending when I brought an Oodie I thought the same thing! It's at the top of the payment page there is a little arrow to a drop down box. The Web page takes you automatically to the bottom of the page to enter your details, I had to scroll up again.. hope that helps?

Madvixen · 08/10/2020 22:07

@recklessgran on thread 4, this site was recommended. I ordered a couple of bits and I'm very pleased with the price and the service
