Thread 11 - the one where everyone keeps writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 07/10/2020 16:22

Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@STARE2016 - no problems, hopefully they're the right size. 🤞🏻

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 08/10/2020 19:23

Looks like Dunelm have sold out of the syrup already! Will try and pop in tomorrow in real life shopping.

MWestie · 08/10/2020 19:33

@whatwillicallmyself just jumping on the thread from usually lurking to ask where you found the £5 for downloading a book credit? I've looked all over and can't see anything. Thank you!

NoWordForFluffy · 08/10/2020 19:37

I've just had notification of my £5 Next reward, for those waiting.

The Range had some nice Christmas wrapping paper with a dinosaur theme today.

Makedo · 08/10/2020 19:53

I got the rorys story batman cubes in tk maxx the other day for £2.99 (though stock is so hit and miss you ßhould order from amazon if you really need them). To the previous poster looking for kleen kanteens in there i saw them in two separate tk maxx stores so it is worth checking again if you get the chance. Though I think they were about £15 so worth watching some of the little independent stores who sell them as one shop had 20% off all theirs the other day.

WineandDine · 08/10/2020 19:58

Cheap wine with free delivery!

Reposting as my last one was lost at the end of the previous thread (hope that’s Ok).
I’ve popped a link on the referral thread for £10 off a case of wine (6 bottles) with Cellar One. Mud House Sauv Blanc is £39 a case (£29 with £10 off) which makes it £4.83 a bottle with free delivery Smile

Cougar £10 October Mystery Box
Worth £100, 8 pieces of branded skin and body care. There is a Women and Mens option

Also does anyone have any Lego advice please? We don’t have any interest here, but after reading posts by so many enthusiasts it seems it’s a popular thing for children. So I’m hoping to get a small starter kind of set for a 10 year old just to see if he likes it. Maybe something he can build that’s not too big- a stocking filler? Does anyone have any recommendations please? Thank you

50 glow sticks for £3.29

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 08/10/2020 20:06

Incase anyone missed it on the previous thread OODIE30 will get you £30 of an Oodie- so £49 instead of £79.

I’ve been wearing mine every day since it arrived last week, amazing quality and so so warm and cozy. I didn’t even know what one was and only purchased it because I’m a sheep- and everyone was raving about them! But would definitely recommend Smile

IggyAce · 08/10/2020 20:20

@4Minions2CallMyOwn does he have any interests? There is minecraft themed Lego as well as avengers, Jurassic world and Harry Potter.
Space themed sets in Lego city my ds age 9 has requested some of these sets as well is the Ninjago land bounty.
Last Christmas I got ds a red London bus it was around £10 and fitted in his stocking.

AndddddHerewegoagain · 08/10/2020 20:21

@HoneyPea they sent me leggings with a hole in the crotch. I sent them a photo and they sent a replacement 24 hours later no quibbles so hopefully you'll have the same experience xx

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 08/10/2020 20:24

@IggyAce Thank you for the ideas, I’m so clueless when it comes to Lego. Out of the themes you suggested I would say he likes Avengers and also Space. Are there any sets like that you would be able to recommend for a beginner please? Thank you Smile

covidmonkey · 08/10/2020 20:32

@4Minions2CallMyOwn ds10 likes Lego Star Wars and Lego minecraft. I usually get sets he has asked for Xmas. Go to Lego.com and have a look what they have.

NewYorkIvy · 08/10/2020 20:38

Redwinestillfine · 08/10/2020 20:40

@Brashopper thank you! I wasn't expecting Waitrose slots so soon! I got 20 December but better than nothing.

Lockdownlumpy · 08/10/2020 20:49

Please can anyone advise me on GAP sizing for kids clothes? It's specifically girls tshirts I'm looking at, for a tall 5 year old.
I've never bought their kids clothes so no idea how big or small they come up.
Also, does anyone know if their kids leggings are generous on the waist?

MrsLeclerc · 08/10/2020 20:51

@4Minions2CallMyOwn Smyths have 20% off their lego at the moment. They have some Marvel sets he might like. The models of a single character would probably take around an hour to build so could be a good place to start for a first set.

Lego do a range called Creator 3 in 1 sets. You get all the bricks to build 3 different models all in the same theme like this shuttle transport set. I had one with a lighthouse, beach house and boat theme and it was great. Lots of scope for playing and rebuilding.

If you see a set you like definitely google it and see what the prices are like in other shops. Loads of places sell lego and you often find it cheaper in shops you wouldn’t have thought of.

17caterpillars1mouse · 08/10/2020 20:51

I don't know if it's just a Midlands shop but our local Midco toys had a selection of Lottie and Finn dolls for £12-13 yesterday. I can't remember all they had but they definitely had a Finn doll, fossil hunter lottie, activist lottie and wildlife photographer Mia.

Dreamingofwalden · 08/10/2020 20:52

@Makedo it was me after the Klean Kanteen! I have a Cafe Cup that my husband lost the butterfly screw from Hmm. I’m a teacher and coffee gets me through the day. I pass a TK Maxx on the way home from work so will go and stalk next week. Thank you! ❤️
