Just keeping the title similar should anyone have missed the last title and info.

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@ClaraLane I will contact Klean Kanteen and Babipur! Good idea. Thank you 😊

@recklessgran I’ve bought discounted Spode from Portmerion for the last couple of years for my MiL. There’s not much reduced at the moment but if you can hold on I think they do good reductions around Black Friday.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 08/10/2020 22:13

Have there been any codes for the Pact coffee advent calendar? Love the look of it this year for a good friend but it goes against my nature to pay full price nowWink

Dreamingofwalden · 08/10/2020 22:14

@madvixen excellent deals in Spode! I think this is as good as Portmerion offers.

Shieldingending · 08/10/2020 22:18
@Shieldingending when I brought an Oodie I thought the same thing! It's at the top of the payment page there is a little arrow to a drop down box. The Web page takes you automatically to the bottom of the page to enter your details, I had to scroll up again.. hope that helps?
Thank you so much! It was frustrating me not to be able to input it. Order placed and going to have a very happy teenager

Currys have an offer for free next day delivery on certain Nintendo Switch games however if you select free delivery instead, it seems to discount the £5 even though you didn't spend it anyway. So some big games are £5 off effectively.

My Paddy & Scott's coffee sample box arrived and I was very impressed- fancy box and beautifully packaged. I know it's gone up in price a Little but it's a really lovely gift for someone who likes coffee.

Thanks all for the Spode tips. I'll be keeping an eye on it all. I'm a bit excited now I've made my mind up and am imaging the table looking swanky!

@Dreamingofwalden
Hey just saw your message regarding looking for klean kanteens in tkmaxx! I found mine by the sports section (not the normal bottle section!) Now I know they are there I always have a peek when I go in and they are always there! Might be worth checking if its the same for you?? X

thaegumathteth · 08/10/2020 22:39

@4Minions2CallMyOwn Lego boxes always state a minimum recommended age, and for a novice 10 year old I’d stick to the sets that are 6+ and 7+ for a starter set.

Redwinestillfine · 08/10/2020 23:03

I got my first Spode! So excited 😄

Jacopone · 08/10/2020 23:10

@makingmiracles
It is very much a matter of personal taste. In UK, good ones would be Courvoisier, Remy Martin, Hennessy. Martell - sweeter, less demanding, easier.
Cognac better over just any type of brandy. Yet, it really depends on the personal preference.

Puffalicious · 08/10/2020 23:21

twilightstarbright I can't see the Paddy and Scott's sample pack anywhere online. Where did you get it? Thanks.

Rockhopper81 · 08/10/2020 23:35

@4Minions2CallMyOwn - the hero 'mech' figures are a kind of compromise between Lego and an action figure really, as in it's not traditional Lego building techniques (it's from the Bionicle/Hero Factory style Lego did for a while), but you get a definable figure at the end (in the pictures case, Iron Man - the mini figure sits in the 'mech'). This might be a good compromise if your child isn't particularly into Lego building, but does like characters. I'm sure I've seen them reduced somewhere recently - maybe Sainsbury's?

If you want a more traditional building experience - more bricks/wheels/plates etc. - then I would recommend one of the Creator 3-in-1 sets as previously mentioned. They do smaller sets - cars/planes/helicopter/dinosaur or dragon - up to about £13 (Lego RRP - but probably a pound or two cheaper on Amazon). There's a space shuttle transporter - truck with a flat bed and a rocket to put in it - which is £25 (Lego RRP - currently £22 on Amazon), which is a bit more involved.

If you want a kit with minifigure with it - so a littler person for it! - there are quite a few vehicles (including a 'satellite service' ship, so space themed) for £10 and under.

My best advice is to look on the Lego website, then search for the exact kit number, as Lego themselves are rarely the cheapest, but it shows what's about (as a rule).

Sorry for the long post - I am a massive AFoL (Adult Fan of Lego) and have managed to corrupt my two youngest nephews completely so far, to the annoyance of parents, as that's now what they ask for! Grin

NewBabyJoy · 08/10/2020 23:47

A stocking filler suggestion:- a "button presser" (loads a available on ebay). Quite cheap, a couple of pounds each, and a handy item to have attached to keys to avoid touching buttons/opening doors (and contaminating hands) when out and about.

Got £20 off at Celtic &Co with this code but only if you spend £70. One time use so please post if you use it.

Twilightstarbright · 09/10/2020 06:37

@Puffalicious here you go

Paddy& Scott's coffee

It's increased from £15.99 to £18.99 but it's still excellent value and presented so nicely- sort of thing I could pop some ribbon on the box and hand straight over.

DarkHumour · 09/10/2020 06:51

@BeGoneDom Thanks so much for the curry’s code. Needed two Mario games, purchased them separately for £70 instead of £80!
