Reastie · 03/10/2020 12:04

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

We buy the Aldi one too, yummy! Grin

Lighthousekeeper27 · 06/10/2020 12:28

@Sweetpea84

My 4 year old boy is into robots, anybody have anyideas of a good one? Preferably one that walks talks etc and not an animal. Thanks
The Lexibook Powerman robot was a great hit with my DS4 last Christmas, and it's always the toy that visiting children go for in our toy room. I bought it from Amazon on Mumsnet recommendation, I can't figure out how to do a link without my name showing up though!
sorryiasked · 06/10/2020 12:33

Thanks Ness IWOOT BOGOF kids tshirts Inc HP, Disney, marvel and some suitable for teens

MsMiaWallace · 06/10/2020 12:43

Lol funny how they've now put coffee price up. Bet it's down to us lot!
Still looks a reasonable set for £18.99 though.

Twilightstarbright · 06/10/2020 12:57

Pact coffee have two packs for £10 and free delivery.

coffee

myhobbyisouting · 06/10/2020 13:00

@Ness1234 do you have a link to the Christmas clearance please? I find IWOOT really difficult to navigate.

They have 2 for £15 on kids xmas sweatshirts which looks a good deal. I want to get to £30 for free c&c Grin

BestofLuck · 06/10/2020 13:00

Woodwick candles £12 for small and £20 for the large long one in TK Maxx.

makingmiracles · 06/10/2020 13:04

Another vote here for he Aldi ballycastle baileys, I think its actually nicer than the official one. Also I read somewhere that they are doing the strawberry and cream version this year too for anyone who likes that!

caffeineanddryshampoo · 06/10/2020 13:06

Does anyone know if FatFace do better discounts for black friday? There's some lovely badger slippers I want to buy for husband but not sure if it gets better than the 15% off given for first orders.

Dovesandkisses · 06/10/2020 13:07

@DiscontentedWoman I can't stand baileys but now I want some just to try it in my coffee 🙈🙈 Genius idea.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 06/10/2020 13:26

@Theonlyoneiknow that's helpful, thank you! Going to have to bite the bullet I think!

CoronaChristmas · 06/10/2020 13:33

Thanks for all the Baileys alternative advice, I only really drink it in coffee but it is a Christmas essential. Need a trip to Aldi for this and the hot chocolate snowmen.

Firsttimeposter121 · 06/10/2020 13:36

Hi, I’ve been lurking on these threads for years but never posted (or registered!)
Thanks so much for all the bargains- this year I’ve already got the duplo, puppets and coffee and I really wish I had got the candles!

I’m thinking of getting a waffle maker for my 10 year old this year. I know zero about them (even how to make them) so I’m hoping for some advice and bargains from you guys!

XFPW · 06/10/2020 13:37

Anyone know anything about cyberjammies? Do we rate them? Quality? Any offers?

I like the look of some of their PJs for DDs for Christmas but am reluctant to spend £70 on 3 pairs of PJs

thelegohooverer · 06/10/2020 13:37

Ah come onnnnn! I’ve only just got back from Aldi with my hot chocolate snowman (thank you to the pp who recommended them - I’d walked past them twice) and now you tell me about their Baileys!! Xmas Grin

@caffeineanddryshampoo I made a note last year that Fatface had stuff at 50% off on Black Friday but I missed out on the size I wanted by waiting.

Can anyone remember what Iwoot was like for Black Friday? I’m dithering on something and wondering if I can do better than a 20% referral discount.

thelegohooverer · 06/10/2020 13:40

Smyths was reportedly bonkers yesterday in Ireland where we had a brief lockdown panic.I really think they should do an online discount to discourage footfall and do their bit for the pandemic Grin

Spam88 · 06/10/2020 13:42

Home Bargains have cardboard colour-in houses for £9.99. A good alternative if the hobby craft ones don't drop maybe?

Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*
IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 06/10/2020 13:44

Definitely NOT a bargain but the final booking window for LaplandUK opened yesterday. I've just been on to look and there are still some tickets available. We said we wouldn't go this year but it's been such a shocker that tickets may have fallen into my inbox Grin Think we all deserve something to look forward to!

littlestpogo · 06/10/2020 13:47

@myhobbyisouting - thanks for the heads up on the Christmas jumpers. Two scooby doo ones will make my DSs very happy!

For the Christmas clearance I think the only way is to click on the Christmas link at the side and then the drop down for gifts. Quite a lot are showing some reduction ( although the 2.99 delivery isn’t as bad as some places!)

CompleteBarstool · 06/10/2020 13:48

The reduced section in Wilkos had loads (so I'm presuming they might be in most stores) children's unicorn and llama plant pots for 50p.
In fact there was a fair bit of random garden bits if anyone is buying for for a gardener

They also had loads of Lynx spray in a, erm, ununusual scent ....Lynx Aftrica and Marmite fragrance. Shock Shock
Yep, you read that right, it is not a typo

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/10/2020 13:49

The new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book- The Deep End (book 15) is available to pre order on Amazon for £6.49. It’s due for release on 27th October

myhobbyisouting · 06/10/2020 13:50

@littlestpogo I got a scooby doo one too Grin

We only wear Christmas clothes during December so 4 sweatshirts did the trick!

Madonnawiththebigboobies · 06/10/2020 13:51

That lapland uk website is magical in itself .

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/10/2020 14:00

I’ve never heard of Lapland UK before today. Just googled and it’s very close to us. Can I ask is it worth the money please? And if so why? As in what’s so good about it? And what age will get the most out of the experience? Thanks Smile

jocktamsonsbairn · 06/10/2020 14:06

@EvilHerbivore

Does anyone remember who did the toasting marshmallow kits? Thinking of Christmas Eve activities And even better if they're a bargain!
