Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*

999 replies

Reastie · 03/10/2020 12:04

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Chicco Balance Bike down top £22.99 on Amazon. amzn.to/34AgWVk

PinkDaydreams · 06/10/2020 11:01

Hoping the Tesco express a mile walk away has Baileys as I haven't got a big store anywhere near me!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 06/10/2020 11:02

@Rockhopper81 Hurrah!!!

mummymilkfloat · 06/10/2020 11:07

@Wtfdidwedo we had the rainbow galt set for my daughter when she was 4, it was really nice to do together. It gets reduced on amazon quite often

Spam88 · 06/10/2020 11:11

@PocoyoandEllie it was the end of the summer last year that they reduced them. Haven't seen them drop to half price this year but they've done £5 off a few times.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 06/10/2020 11:12

@dizzygirl1 happy to have helped!

@TheWildWoods I'm also hoping for a Smyths offer as we have a catalogue full of post its! She's going back to add the circles in! I am dithering though because as things are in stock I feel I should order because I don't want to miss getting them (maybe not the £350 Lego Hogwarts!)

FrolickingLemon · 06/10/2020 11:20

@Nicky2512 I'm sure Prime day usually features Karcher products. Also, I've a feeling the likes of John Lewis and QVC might also price match around the same time. Lots of scope I'd say. I got mine on offer 7 years ago and still foing strong!

Sweetpea84 · 06/10/2020 11:22

River island have a sale on. Kids & adults stuff.

EvilHerbivore · 06/10/2020 11:28

Does anyone remember who did the toasting marshmallow kits? Thinking of Christmas Eve activities
And even better if they're a bargain!

Theonlyoneiknow · 06/10/2020 11:33

For those asking about Smyths discount codes - I asked the manager in store at the weekend if they would be doing any and he said no - because they didn't want an influx of people into their stores which would affect social distancing. I was holding out for their usual £5/£10 off at this time of year.

nicky2512 · 06/10/2020 11:45

@FrolickingLemon Brilliant thanks. I will hold off then. I know mine was a lot cheaper last year than they are at the minute so hopefully they will come down. I love mine!

Adelais · 06/10/2020 11:47

Hawkins Bazaar have lots of Harry Potter stuff in their clearance section www.hawkin.com/harry-potter?mc_cid=a0cbb66f4e&mc_eid=99d0ce98f1

New Look have 20% off coats and knitwear

CoronaChristmas · 06/10/2020 11:50

My tesco online shows the Baileys as out of stock. Their own brand is cheap though, has anyone done a taste comparison?

NerosFiddle · 06/10/2020 11:57

@CoronaChristmas I don't drink Baileys but my Dh thinks the Tesco own one is great and it's a fraction of the cost.

999caffeineplease · 06/10/2020 12:03

@EvilHerbivore was it Naked Marshmallow?

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2020 12:09

The Aldi one is lovely and is £3.75!

Emma10702 · 06/10/2020 12:10

Has anyone spotted the mince pie cream liquor in M&S on their travels? Need some for my Xmas stash

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2020 12:13

They only had 1-2 flavours in my M&S, and mince pie wasn't one of them.

Amazonmulu · 06/10/2020 12:18

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but I quite often get eBay discounts by watching an item but not buying it. It's an automated eBay feature where the system sends you 5-15% discounts on items in your watched list. Mostly it's on items I've changed my mind about but at other times it's on something I was going to buy anyway.

PinkDaydreams · 06/10/2020 12:19

It annoys me when companies charge for click and collect to a store.....river island I'm looking at you!! It used to be free to collect from a store but they charge now.

Ness1234 · 06/10/2020 12:19

IWOOT have got a Christmas clearance sale on at the moment

I'm another fan of the Aldi version for £3.75 - less clarty than real Baileys and I love a slug of it in coffee instead of having milk Blush
BunnyBerries · 06/10/2020 12:27

@PocoyoandEllie @Spam88
I've always seen the cardboard houses etc drop to half price in preparation for half term, at Hobbycraft, usually along with all of the paint your own ceramics. So I'm willing to bet they are set to again in a few weeks. They sell out quickly if so, keep an eye out.
