Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Anyone have any ideas for book sets for an ASD teen (Asperger type) - he rereads them to death. Reading age very good but scares easily, if that makes sense. Need paper books as he uses them in school to control anxiety & tics.
He’s just read the Wings of fire & Menagerie sets by Tui Sutherland so was looking at the Spirit Animal series but worried that they might be too young from the reviews - even if I can get him to consider a ‘new’ Author TIA

@4minions2CallMyOwn Lapland UK is amazing. The whole experience, they send you personal invitations which you pop in the freezer before giving them to the kids. There is an app which you use and an elf magically appears and talks. The actual event is totally believable, I even find myself caught up! It's a mixture of theatre and activities, the elfs have each got a personality and totally live it. There is ice skating and the usual biscuit decorating etc. The kids get to help make a toy in the work shop and at the end they carefully get handed covertly to an adult so you can put them under the tree. I would say definitely best for believers, although there is plenty to keep older kids engaged too. The pack of Huskies with puppies was our sons favourite part last year. Is it worth the money?.... I think it's all relative, if you can afford it go for it, but I wouldn't leave it too long if you are considering it as tickets usually sell out super fast.

@Puffalicious
I ordered the lovely French press too as mine fell apart on Sunday.
Thank you!

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 06/10/2020 14:37

@UggyPow if you search goodreads for one that he likes and scroll down to the bottom it will give you more titles that people who liked your title also enjoyed.

Not a proper bargain as they are not reduced, but m&s have a Harry Potter chocolate range. I bought a chocolate frog as a stocking filler for 65p!!!

Do you have a link for the french press? My phone is being stupid and not allowing me to look at older posts! This may push me into finally getting a new phone!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/10/2020 15:06

@XFPW cyberjammies are lovely quality - they had a lot in the sale a couple of weeks ago which makes them better value.

mogtheexcellent · 06/10/2020 15:06

Phew I always panic that I cant catch up when I miss a day but managed it Smile. Thanks to a PP for the FatFace badger slippers tip. No discount code atm - I'll hold on for one but he is a pain to buy for so dont want to miss them.

nicky2512 · 06/10/2020 15:15

Sorry I have nothing to offer yet but I’m asking for more help! I’m looking for a beanbag for 6ft tall 14 year old DS. I was told about lounge pug on big Bertha site but there’s so many. The high back chair shown as reduced to 69.90 looks good but I wondered if anyone had shopped here before - is that a genuine reduction or could they go lower? And also are they suitable for a large teenager?! It’s a bit over budget so I need to be sure.
Thank you so much.

Drowninginwashing · 06/10/2020 15:25

Shufflebum · 06/10/2020 16:09

@4Minions2CallMyOwn

Thank you to the posters who gave me ideas for my little ones doggies! I’m having a look at them all Smile

Was about to buy the coffee but it has increased in price to £18.99 Hmm

For all those thanking me for the coffee link it wasn’t actually me who shared it, I just added my support to say it’s good and happy to see Scott doing well in difficult times! I can’t actually see the offer at all now online! Maybe they sold out?
Fuckingfuckssake · 06/10/2020 16:17
@myhobbyisouting - thanks for the heads up on the Christmas jumpers. Two scooby doo ones will make my DSs very happy!

For the Christmas clearance I think the only way is to click on the Christmas link at the side and then the drop down for gifts. Quite a lot are showing some reduction ( although the 2.99 delivery isn’t as bad as some places!)
I missed Scooby Doo jumpers????

PattyPan · 06/10/2020 16:35

Thanks whoever posted the Molton Brown code for the free baubles and hand cream. My stuff arrived today and the baubles are lovely, they are in a little gift box each. I think I’m going to give one to DP’s mum and keep one for myself Grin I’m not as impressed with the festive frankincense soap though, it’s a bit reminiscent of aftershave Hmm

FilthyforFirth · 06/10/2020 16:36

There are some lovely personalised things on this site. They had an ad on instagram months ago so I ordered a personalised snow globe for my sibling and family. It was so lovely I just ordered another one!

Gutted I missed the coffee, that would be perfect for BIL. Hope to see it drop again.
