Reastie · 03/10/2020 12:04

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Shufflebum thanks for the coffee link. Just ordered the £15.99 set for DH. Great price & looks lovely quality.
Be great if they came in the black gift box too.

RJnomore1 · 06/10/2020 09:03

Just noticed the McMillan advent down to £42 on boots, just under half price. Remember if you have a student card go instore and link it to your advantage card for another 10% off everything for a year and check your special offers for Your card too for bonus points .

PocoyoandEllie · 06/10/2020 09:03

Does anyone know when hobbycraft do the 50% off cardboard houses? I have got an igloo the last 2 years from the sodding elf which has always been a big hit but don’t want to pay £17 and I am sure they do reduce them 😅

TheWildWoods · 06/10/2020 09:09

Amazon prime day, 13th & 14th just seen an advert for it.

Does anyone know if Smyths have any offers coming up? After recieceing a cute Christmas list from both my boys (6&8) I've since been given a Smyths catalogue with everything circled.

Wtfdidwedo · 06/10/2020 09:10

Any recommendations on science type sets for 3/4 year olds? Their 10 year old sister has had the crystal growing ones, soap, volcano, rocket etc. But wondered if there were any particularly good ones for younger children? Most say 5+ but I would obviously be doing the bulk of the work anyway! They like volcanoes and dinosaurs mostly. I'm also looking for a (bargainous) skate ramp just for going up and down in the back garden on a scooter. There are so many, I don't know where to start.

TheRosariojewels · 06/10/2020 09:12

Has anyone not had their Penhaligons order yet? I made 2 orders and have received one. The other one I got a dispatch email on friday, but the tracking hasn't updated at all. I'm getting worried it has been lost now.Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/10/2020 09:15

Coffee bbaaa
Great offer though

STARE2016 · 06/10/2020 09:17

@KillZill ah thank you so much for responding! Was starting to worry I'd dreamt it or something! Dreaming bargains and codes already! Thank you Smile

bookish83 · 06/10/2020 09:23

@Shufflebum

Thank you for the coffee link! Really pleased to order from independent places

@TheWildWoods

I didn't know kids still circled catalogues! The Argos catalogue being circled is one of my favourite memories. Never did get a Mr Frosty though! Grin

DoctorYang · 06/10/2020 09:31

Thanks for the coffee deal, my coffee-loving daughter will love it to go with her aeropress!

NoWordForFluffy · 06/10/2020 10:16

@Wtfdidwedo, my two enjoyed the Galt kit at that age. As you say, we did most of it!

There's loads to choose from, so maybe find one you like and see where it's cheapest?

whoknows1230 · 06/10/2020 10:18

@bookish83 I finally got one for my 21st birthday after circling it in the Argos catalogue for many years and lamenting that I never did receive one. It was a big disappointment!

BumpkinSpiceBatty · 06/10/2020 10:23

@Shufflebum thanks for the coffee link. Just ordered one for DH.

Rockhopper81 · 06/10/2020 10:31

@CoffeeAndEnnui - thank you for the very kind offer of sending me some, that's so sweet of you! I managed to make an account last night, but couldn't check out, so gave up in a fit of annoyance. Luckily it worked this morning (even if I did have to add everything to my basket again - luckily all the socks I wanted were still available!), so it's finally gone through. Definitely not easy though - glad you got it to work too!

Bargain socks for all!!

steph2412 · 06/10/2020 10:37

@Shufflebum also just ordered the coffee for my BIL that will be a great addition to a hamper I'm doing for him!

Wtfdidwedo · 06/10/2020 10:37

Glad to hear they're good, I often see them in the bargain section of WHSmiths actually, and the bubble one is reduced on Amazon today thanks!

Alternative puppets that also come with a "themed playhouse" for the puppets.

I think anyone can create an account with this company but apologies if that's not the case!

TheWildWoods · 06/10/2020 10:42

@bookish83 my boys have only done it this year and last year after they opened a Smyths shop on the retail park near us so it's easy to pick up a catalogue when passing.... I'm still not sure if I regret it or not! There list has gone from being small and cute and within price range to the entirety of the shop now.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/10/2020 10:48

Thank you to the posters who gave me ideas for my little ones doggies! I’m having a look at them all Smile

Was about to buy the coffee but it has increased in price to £18.99 Hmm

Makedo · 06/10/2020 10:53

@4Minions2CallMyOwn just came on to say the same about the coffee. Though annoyingly the text of the deal still says £15.99 they seem to have increased the price. If it does drop again I would be interested.

nicky2512 · 06/10/2020 10:54

I was thinking of buying my dad a karcher window vac but I’m wondering if they might come down on prime day or Black Friday. Does anyone remember from last year?

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/10/2020 10:55

I know it’s really annoying. I guess because demand has gone up (Mumsnet lol) so they increased it. But I hate it when that happens so I won’t be buying it now

Duckyneedsaclean · 06/10/2020 10:56

TkMaxx have mens Pecksniff's gift sets on clearance for £6-8. you do have to pay either £1.99 for click & collect or £3.99 for delivery though.
