Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Penguinbeaver have a look on brand Alley for ugg slippers.

PenguinBeaver I've always bought my Uggs from Schuh Imperfects (though might not do for a MIL gift! the imperfections can be very minor though)

The only Ugg slippers they have in at the moment are Scuffettes, which are mules, and only in a size 3 but it's worth keeping an eye on as the discounts are good and stock changes all the time.

@Penguinbeaver have you tried their outlet shop some for £63, and you can get 10% off if you sign up to their newsletter which would bring it down a bit more.

@beccarooney there was a 20% code before if you look back previous threads. I love after the rain, it is beautiful, it’s one of only two perfumes I wear along with chanel allure.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. We already do an activity advent (December ends up being quite a big deal here!). I'd be happy to buy second hand but can't find anything good locally at the moment. I love the sensory fidget items and the idea of wooden food (getting a play kitchen for Christmas so that fits really well) and have heard good things about Lanka Kade animals so will look for those.

I did find in my searches this morning that Baker Ross have a free delivery code this weekend on orders over £29 Code is FREEDEL I think, on the banner on their website

@BeGoneDom

I thought I'd make a reusable toy advent calendar this year rather than buying one, because there aren't really any that are suitable. Now I'm struggling for ideas to fill it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Boys ages 4 and 18 months, want to be as cheap as possible without filling it with crap just for the sake of it.

I've already got some little cars and Happyland figures and Thomas mini trains. I was thinking of some little dinosaurs but all the sets I've found seem to come with a million trees that DS1 wont care for.

Thanks in advance. Wish I had some bargains to post but everyone beats me to it!

Poundland has x2 zoo animals for £1.

Would cute socks be a crap gift?

I buy little bits (playmobil, unicorns. Dolls etc) from charity shops and Facebook throughout the year.

Or how about bath crayons, magic flannels etc?

@ScoobySnacker and PP (sorry I can't find your post to tag you). Keep an eye on Portmerion for reduced Wrendale stuff, they often have 50% off a few bits (some mugs etc at the moment).

I got my DS an illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone thanks to a bargain on last year's thread. He's asked for the illustrated version of The Chamber of Secrets this year and I found this which seems like a good deal - the book and a HP quiz book for £15 plus postage. Harry Potter book bundle

I also got a referral code which gets you and me £2 off if anyone wants it: referral

Just a warning: I don't think is hardback. But the paperback we have is beautiful and sturdy.

Melting chocolate snowmen still in Aldi today. Also chocolate reindeer, coins, bears etc. They also have reduced swimming items, including those thing you throw into the pool and dive down to collect (1.99 for a bag of 4). Asda £7 for two large tubs of heroes/quality street/celebration. Asda have choc advent calendars (Cadbury’s) for £1.50 but sometimes £1 I think in morrisons. Asda had a large horse and carriage and doll for £15.

My Christmas bracelets, from amazon, mentioned About 3 threads ago have arrived and my girls will like them.
