Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Bluewavescrashing, there's a few of those on Amazon. One looked identical to your picture and I don't recall it being £80!

PinkDaydreams · 03/10/2020 07:22

Those lindt balls are in Asda reduced down to £3.50, lots of yummy flavours

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2020 07:23

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy I've seen a few on amazon but am worried they might be flimsy tat Smile

WickedEmoji · 03/10/2020 07:27

There are some Halloween lights on Poundtoy for 1.80. I know it isnt christmas but I couldn't resist!

This looking for sticking fillers, FLASH25 gives a further 25% off.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/10/2020 07:29

I think there's probably a range of them between tat and extortionate! The one you want seems to be an American one, judging by the postage prices on Amazon and eBay!

I'd think you could return a shit one if you got it from Amazon.

Lazysundayafternoons · 03/10/2020 07:29

@Bluewavescrashing

Thanks *@NoWordForFluffy* I've seen a few on amazon but am worried they might be flimsy tat Smile
I was actually looking at Christmas decorations this week online. I noticed that Amazon have appear to have the exact same decorations - from multiple sellers but all half the price of the first shop I looked.
NewYorkIvy · 03/10/2020 07:29

@Bridecilla

Random request. DS is Minecraft mad and worships Preston Styles.

He wanted some 'merch' but I was wary of buying from the American sites in case of charges etc so I bought him a copy hoody from Ebay. It's OK but not great quality.

Has anyone bought any proper 'merch' and how's best to buy it?

My kids are also crazy about Preston. I've mostly got merch off eBay - not official but ok quality, If you register on prestons official store you'll get emailed discount codes pretty regularly - prices aren't too bad it's the shipping that bumps the cost up. Quality wise though, I'm not seeing much difference between the official stuff and the eBay knock off merch to be honest.
RJnomore1 · 03/10/2020 07:32

Oh I’m in an idiot, it is indeed beer WULF, no idea why I typed beer hawk and imagine that being a thing too 🙈 glad you found it

StubbleTurnips · 03/10/2020 07:32

PP Try GallopGuru for nice horsey gifts. I got riding crazy DD egg cups for £3 each earlier this year

LutherRalph1 · 03/10/2020 07:36

An idea for a gift, if a code could be found - we received the Dipping Adventure from Hotel Chocolat and it was bloody lovely. A bit pricy without a code but very nice gift and they do a smaller version

Twilightstarbright · 03/10/2020 07:39

Just to say I'm always happy to give a student discount code from unidays/studentbeans if anyone needs one.

TheRosariojewels · 03/10/2020 07:46

@Whyisitsodifficult

Fleurtations have them for around £116, cheaper but not exactly cheap! They have them as Jellycat Very big.

Shitfuckoh · 03/10/2020 07:54

I'm wanting to replace my (artifical) tree this year.
Last year I bought one for the dining room which was on offer in M&S but it's not 'full' like I'd like my main one to be.
Currently have a 'flocked emperor' but as I've had it a few years now, I really want to change.

Any idea where I can get a lovely 'full' one from but won't break the bank?! Thanks

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 03/10/2020 07:56

Thank you so much for all the suggestions for DS and his crazy Christmas list. Have definitely got a few ideas. I did broach the subject that Santa may struggle with a real triceratops skull and horn for Christmas. I’d like to say he took it well but in actual fact he was completely heartbroken. Why can’t I have a child that asks for Playmobil 🤷🏻‍♀️

@OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack do you know if he likes a particular discipline? Just often there’s a very different look and products if you knew if he preferred dressage, showjumping, eventing or if he just enjoys hacking. Something I always ask for in my stocking and really appreciate is things like fancy horse shampoo, mane and tail conditioner, tack cleaning products and posh horse treats. When I buy them myself I always feel a bit guilty about spending much so I usually ask for effax and cowboy magic products as a treat. Second riding gloves and socks, you can never have enough

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 03/10/2020 08:02

Also just wanted to add be careful with buying silks as a gift unless you know his hat. Not as many people have hats that can have a silk on now. I have 4 and none are that style

BeGoneDom · 03/10/2020 08:12

I thought I'd make a reusable toy advent calendar this year rather than buying one, because there aren't really any that are suitable. Now I'm struggling for ideas to fill it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Boys ages 4 and 18 months, want to be as cheap as possible without filling it with crap just for the sake of it.

I've already got some little cars and Happyland figures and Thomas mini trains. I was thinking of some little dinosaurs but all the sets I've found seem to come with a million trees that DS1 wont care for.

Thanks in advance. Wish I had some bargains to post but everyone beats me to it!

ZIGGY911 · 03/10/2020 08:14

Sorry to be a pain and I'm very late to the party but after a week of thinking and researching I now want to buy two Oodies (real ones). Is the best price the bundle of 2 which works out at £49 each or is there a better offer anywhere?

Londonborncatty · 03/10/2020 08:16

@ZIGGY911 yes, best prices are the bundles. Obviously the bigger the bundle the lower the price. There are no extra codes or discounts apart from what comes up on the website.

Furlougheddrinker · 03/10/2020 08:19

@Jess26385
Have you looked at the website "babipur"? They sell alot of ethical products mainly childrens toys but they also sell stuff for adults. They do things such as tonys chocolate (some are vegan), klean kanteen bottles, solid shampoos and conditioners. Plus lots more. Its worth a look? Hope it helps 😊

Furlougheddrinker · 03/10/2020 08:23

@ZIGGY911
The code OODIE30 will get you £30 off an individual oodie from 79 to 49. Not sure about bundles sorry. It seems the bigger the bundle the bigger the saving though

angstyalways · 03/10/2020 08:23

@ZIGGY911 bubbles will always go down a treat, have a look for fidget toys, they are small and often suitable for younger children.

Also stickers are well received which I know aren't toys but will fill a day if needs be.

try this site

Furlougheddrinker · 03/10/2020 08:25

Mumto3thatsme · 03/10/2020 08:26

Not so much a bargain, but if you’re looking for a little bit of luxury on Christmas Eve, these hot chocolates look delicious

NeedMoreTea · 03/10/2020 08:26

@deeplybaffled Yes Pact coffee, that was it. Thankyou!

Does anybody have a discount code for Pact coffee?

Oodie bundles was the cheapest way to buy them. I signed up to get a discount code but it didn't stack.

NeedMoreTea · 03/10/2020 08:28

Sorry, last comment was for @ZIGGY911
