Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

The cinema pack is great. We couldn’t get through all the popcorn in the end.

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/09/2020 18:55

No idea where my link went.
try again

Emma1962 · 26/09/2020 18:58

@ClosedAuraOpenMind same slipper dilemma. I like the Pom Pom ones. Come down to £78. Sounds a lot for slippers but my feet get so cold I’m thinking I could justify it.

Mamagotskills · 26/09/2020 19:06

livingthegoodlife · 26/09/2020 19:10

I'll keep stalking the Harry potter Lego then. I'm not sure I have the nerve to hold out for black Friday!

I8toys · 26/09/2020 19:19

Impossible they are quite substantial candles - I got them last year so a bargain.

Lolly34h · 26/09/2020 19:35

Ordered a wax lyrical candle for the present bag ConfusedI really need to stop buying random things for imaginary people haha

livingthegoodlife · 26/09/2020 19:35

I've caved on the Harry potter Lego already! I used the 15% Lego discount at John Lewis so Great Hall £64 and Hedwig £22 ish. Pretty pleased with that. Just mustn't look at any more Harry potter stuff!

Sylvanian families furniture and Barbie dream house hunting now.

Dreamingofwalden · 26/09/2020 19:36

Our neighbours bought our DS(4) a lovely decoupage dinosaur for his birthday in August.

I’ve just bought a few more on Amazon for Christmas presents or December crafting if we’re all going stir crazy. At £3.15 they make a good stocking filler. We had good fun decorating the birthday one with pens and jewels Grin. It’s now a very camp dinosaur.

unkindnessofravens · 26/09/2020 19:48

Thanks for the Molton Brown code. Got stuff for my sister and thought the baubles could make some nice teacher gifts but now I'm wondering whether teachers will accept gifts in the current climate (in my LA kids aren't even allowed school bags or lunch boxes into school). Might just need to gift them to myself Grin

Mumto3thatsme · 26/09/2020 19:50

@begonedom I think it was you on the last thread looking for dolls. How about enchantimals? They are within your budget, often coming down to £4.99 on amazon! They are cute dolls with animal friends so can choose your child's fav animal. My dd has allsorts lemur, llama, elephant, tiger etc.

Today I got this game for £1 in poundland, looks fun for dd2 stocking. Fluff by bananagrams. www.amazon.co.uk/Bananagrams-Fluff-Rolling-Dice-Game/dp/B07DRPSVJM

Also they have started getting Christmas chocolates, gifts and decorations in. I bought a big box of toffeefee for £2 with santa picture on the front.

Lazysundayafternoons · 26/09/2020 19:52

All the family will be shocked at their gifts this year, usually it's just an exchange of bath sets between us all Grin

@Dreamingofwalden - Hobbycraft do lots of Decopatch figures/letters/numbers etc. Small figures are about £3.

A good place to look for papers for them (although they haven't had much the last couple of times I've looked) is The Range - I think they tend to be previous lines? But they work really well. Or eBay for smaller sheets that are a mixture of colours/designs.

I've given Decopatched figures as gifts several times, as well as decorating them with my nephews - it's always good fun with them!
