Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Clarabella72 · 26/09/2020 16:23

What’s the Molton brown code please?!

tentative3 · 26/09/2020 16:25

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua I think you asked about turtle doves on the last thread? They have an offer on their signature fingerless gloves but it's not the easiest to find on the website:

www.turtle-doves.co.uk/products/classic-signature-cashmere-fingerless-gloves

stressbucket1 · 26/09/2020 16:27

Molton brown code is GHK20 gives you 2 festive baubles and a handcream when you spend over £40

BeaLola · 26/09/2020 16:27

BeGoneDom · 26/09/2020 16:29

@Hophop26 @17caterpillars1mouse Thanks both, I wouldn't have thought of Home Bargains for Barbies. Might have a quick trip out this week then!

Tiredmummyof3 · 26/09/2020 16:31

Superdry has a sale on with lots of things 50% off - pretty good for teenagers! Also on Quidco 😀

Spam88 · 26/09/2020 16:31

I know there was previous talk of the Tales of Acorn Wood books but I wasn't paying attention, so I don't know if this is any good, but they're currently £3 each on Amazon (except Postman Bear which is £3.99).

hoopdeloop · 26/09/2020 16:33

Thank you for whoever posted the pasta gin code, I ordered 2 pasta dishes and got 4 gins, lovely little add-ons, plus tea is sorted for tonight!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 26/09/2020 16:34

Christmas stamps are coming into Post Offices on 3rd November, for anybody thinking of getting ahead with cards. I think this year is a secular design year.

1stTimeMama · 26/09/2020 16:35

I saw the B&M sacks and stockings when they were putting them out a few weeks ago, and need one of each for the new baby. I'd love for everyone to match, but they have all just reused the sacks they had from the beginning. To match, or not to match? That is the question!

Bluewavescrashing · 26/09/2020 16:43

I'm looking for 2 lego sets, Harry Potter rise of voldemort and the quidditch set. If anyone sees them cheap anywhere please let me know!

Whattodowithaminute · 26/09/2020 16:49

For the poster who was looking at den building kits... we have one similar to the works one and it is pretty much a banned toy in our house as my boys beat each other with the poles...

Ivebeengood · 26/09/2020 16:50

Hi, does anyone remember the cinema food package which was advertised during lockdown? Well it’s still going and I bought one for indulgent movie nights as I’m not ready to back to the cinema yet.

It’s £20, plus £6 delivery - it came in two days, you get loads and the dates were all 2021. I think the later you buy it the longer the dates may be - I don’t know this, but assuming. So if you wanted as a Christmas gift I’d hold off for now as our dates are Jan 2021. Popcorn is end of October this year though.

You have to scroll to the bottom.

I was given a pair of Celtic & Co slippers for Christmas 2 years ago and love them but 13 months after reviving them they had a big hole in the back. Really disappointed as they were so expensive.

livingthegoodlife · 26/09/2020 17:03

What is the best discount I can expect to get on Harry potter Lego? Argos have some deals but I don't want to buy now if then I regret it on black Friday or something. Anyone know how low the Great hall etc goes for? I'm stuck.

fourquenelles · 26/09/2020 17:05

tenative3 thank you for the turtle doves link. My DM has vascular dementia and likes to fiddle all day with all her costume jewelry so the fingerless gloves are perfect. They'll keep her warm while allowing her to continue to play.

thelegohooverer · 26/09/2020 17:08

@Bluewavescrashing both of those sets are cheaper on amazon.fr - not sure if shipping would offset the savings for you though.
voldemort and quidditch

CoffeeAndEnnui · 26/09/2020 17:09

@Ivebeengood, what was the "popcorn tin" included with the food package, please? Do you have a picture? Was it nicely packaged enough to send straight to the recipient or more a family treat thing to top up cupboards?

Apologies for all the questions. Trying to decide whether this would be a good or bad thing to add to some DVDs for a movie-loving friend's gift!

fourquenelles · 26/09/2020 17:09

Coopers of Stortford have a deal on Scandinavian style slippers
HERE £5 off if you buy 2 pairs

They have thick rubber soles so are great for popping into the garden, own the path etc

Chocolateteabag · 26/09/2020 17:24

@Lazysundayafternoons
myadventurekit is a small business selling ready made and make your own den kits. I ordered a pack of bits for DN in April and their customer service was brilliant. No "bargains" but nothing any more expensive than the "A" lot

Also I can recommend Edinburgh Skincare - they do hand cream bars in tins - good for those who like waste free gifts (though they are in a plastic wrapper inside the tin) SYMMETRYLAUNCH should give 10% off

lexloofah · 26/09/2020 17:25

Calendar club order has arrived thnx for idea about 4 threads ago, free delivery and 16.5% cash back. V happy

I have a one off 15% discount code but think it has my name on it so pm me if you can use it

Bluewavescrashing · 26/09/2020 17:27

Thanks @thelegohooverer I could save £5 using amazon.fr but will hold out for a better deal I think.

littlestpogo · 26/09/2020 17:35

Whattodowithaminute ditto here re the den building kit. My two used the poles as swords ...

Many thanks for the Milton Brown tip - have managed to sort a couple of presents and added another bauble and that’s my three friends I buy a little something for sorted!

tentative3 · 26/09/2020 17:37

@fourquenelles they sound perfect for your DM. They are a lovely gift, recycled and small business so they tick lots of boxes but they're utterly lovely too. I have several pairs for work and have just had a pair delivered for my niece for Christmas - customer service is fab and they've chosen a lovely colour and some slim fit ones for her as she is very slim. I'm really pleased.
