Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

didireallysaythat · 27/09/2020 10:24

@NickMyLipple yes the subscribe and save price changes all the time - I think Amazon gives you the increase or decrease in %.

I added toothpaste once to get me up to 3 or 6 or whatever to get the 15% off and the next month it wasn't worth it.

NickMyLipple · 27/09/2020 10:28

@didireallysaythat but I've already paid for my buns, right??! Will I get them at under £3 in November as I've already checked out, or is it the luck of the draw??

All my other subscribe and save seem to be the low prices on the first day I started the subscription.

TakeMeToYourLiar · 27/09/2020 10:30
@takemetoyourliar I work in a preschool and we have happyland diggers. They've been there at least 4 years (since I started) and been used alot!! In sand/water/mud allsorts and still in great condition.

Teachers - my easy gift which always goes down well - cellephane bag with a scratchcard and a handful of chocolates with shredded paper inside. DDs draw a picture on cut out old Christmas cards to add on as a tag. Cheap too as you can bulk buy the bags and use for other gifts too, chocolate normally goes on offer somewhere!
Thank you :)

VividImagination · 27/09/2020 10:32

@NickMyLipple with subscribe and save you pay the price that it is on the day. I normally get an email a few days before to let me know the price it will be and I skip it if it’s too expensive.

PhantomErik · 27/09/2020 10:39

WisestIsShe I think I saw diabetic socks in Aldi a few days ago.

torthecatlady · 27/09/2020 10:40

@Puffalicious I just had a vision of you as Oprah Winfrey on Christmas morning

"You get an oodie... you get an oodie... oodies for everyone!" Grin

I too am now off to buy a fake oodie, just the one and it's all for me Grin

BooSurprise · 27/09/2020 10:46

Am I ever likely to get a discount from the official Lego store? DD wants a particular set, it doesn’t seem an exclusive but I haven’t found it stocked anywhere else. Also needs a few baseplates for DS - are any of the alternatives Wilko etc worth getting or should I just suck up the cost of the official ones?

nicky2512 · 27/09/2020 10:47

Help! I’m on hamleys site after seeing the penguins mentioned earlier. I am dithering over some of the other bears also reduced. Has anyone seen them in real life? The panda possibly or the Labrador with babies. Need for two little girls and a baby boy but would be top of budget and don’t want to risk it if they don’t look as good in real life.
Thanks.

Hi Smile new member, stumbled upon this thread and it's so brilliant, please can I join?!

I've got 5 children to buy for and money is tight this year.

Also thought I'd post a link to Tesco who have a toy sale on just now www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/search?query=toys&viewAll=promotion&promotion=offers&source=awin&awc=7052_1601200084_e3b61b8438c729087c7fb1443ae621dd&sc_cmp=affawinghshttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.playpennies.com%2F_184345&utm_medium=ghs&utm_source=affiliate_window&utm_campaign=affhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.playpennies.com%2F_184345
Sorry I can't for the life of me work out how to do short links!

Also superdrug had their choc coins buy one get one free, expiry on the ones I saw was 2022 if it helps anyone. We always have choc coins in stockings here.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 27/09/2020 10:57

Just ordered some Lego from JL and seen it is less on Amazon! Will JL price match Amazon? 😬

AllNewThings · 27/09/2020 11:02

Please could someone save me hours and just tell me which Xmas organiser app to download? We are considerably poorer this year, so I need to do better!

WisestIsShe · 27/09/2020 11:04

@allnewthings I'm on Android and use Gift List. It's really easy to use and password protected in case you have a nosy family!

AllNewThings · 27/09/2020 11:09

Thank you Wise, I'm on iOS. Is there an equivalent? I can't see it.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 27/09/2020 11:11

I use Gift List on iOS - really easy, and saves your info from past years

Scanner20 · 27/09/2020 11:11

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts that Lego set on Argos is such a good bargain but too old for my dd and she has said after looking in the symths book that she'd like some Lego. The jungle base she liked too, I'm finished for her 😫 but I think I'd like it too..

shash1982 · 27/09/2020 11:11

bealoa The brewdog advent calender was available for pre order on their website a few weeks ago.
Might be an idea for your dh if he likes ipa beer.

On another subject, I went for a meal with a friend for the first time yesterday evening. After too many glasses of wine I now have candles ordered! 😬
I don't even use the candles I already have, oops!

JinglesWish · 27/09/2020 11:12

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts No, it needs to be a physical store.

I tried to price match something from a proper shop this week and it went out of stock just before they picked up my email. So JL refused to price match, as I couldn’t buy it at the other shop at the lower price.

Cinders22 · 27/09/2020 11:12

If anyone has a Costco card, the cinnamon buns are bigger boxes (more buns!) than the ones posted further up the thread. Link for online www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Food-Cupboard/Cakes-Biscuits/Bakedin-Iced-Cinnamon-Bun-Kit-4-x-435g/p/316333

JinglesWish · 27/09/2020 11:12

@WisestIsShe the candle looks great! More expensive than it is. How is the smell?

JinglesWish · 27/09/2020 11:15

I tried my rhubarb gin. It’s quite nice, but not a classic that I need to buy again next year. I love the bottle and gold flakes. I’m going to give away the Clementine one I bought, as I imagine it will be quite samey

Just happy to have got it after last year’s impossible challenge 😊

AllNewThings · 27/09/2020 11:15

Is it this one?

JinglesWish · 27/09/2020 11:16

There’s a 15% discount on Sophie Allport Bees collection till end of today. I’m buying aprons and tea pots for SILs 🐝

everythingisginandroses · 27/09/2020 11:17

I have just realised that all yesterday I was reading this thread title as 'bumming and aching' - not sure what that says about me! Xmas Confused Xmas Grin
