Thanks @allatonce99 for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

Anyone interested in the Curry or Taco kit from the Spicery, I've just had my e-mail newsletter which says there's going to be the best offer of the year on them next month so probably worth holding out for that I think.

CharlieWeasley · 23/09/2020 08:32

Thanks for the argos tip. Just got a duplo set I've been watching for DD for 1/3 off. Amazon seem to be price matching some (all?) of the reductions so might be useful for those who can't get to an argos.

Bezzi · 23/09/2020 08:34

Thanks @JinglesWish just sorted DS birthday present with that T-Rex!

zeerecords · 23/09/2020 08:36

@thiap if you don't mind if you happen to look in Ralph Lauren kids (upstairs in the main Ralph Lauren) whether they have any of the baby clothes marked down! Last year I managed to pick up some baby grows and tops for £6.99!! This year I've been twice (before and after lockdown) & both times they've been £20 odd (exact same ones as well). There was also a little dress I got last year for £12.99 and the same one is now over £30 I couldn't believe it.

AndddddHerewegoagain · 23/09/2020 08:38

@Ivebeengood my son loved these at a year old as he could grip them easily

www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/101/23186/hape-little-van-(red)/

Theres a selection of them on this website of various cars, helicopters and planes etc

Spam88 · 23/09/2020 08:46

@Ivebeengood Asda (and I think Tesco as well) do some chunky wooden cars that you buy individually. Or if you want fancier ones there's Lanka Kade. If you want to go plastic then my son goes crazy for Toot Toot although they're a little bigger.

Isadora2007 · 23/09/2020 08:49

@Fuckingfuckssake we got a really good basketball hoop from decathlon last year which has stayed in great condition and was easy to set up and reasonably priced etc. They had a choice of a few for heights etc. Great store in general for sports stuff.

IggyAce · 23/09/2020 08:55

Any Lego Ninjago fans the Land Bounty is back down to £72 in Argos and Amazon have dropped the price to match too. I’ve got this for my DS9 it’s a massive box.

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 23/09/2020 08:57

@thiap I was there at the weekend. Kate Spade had some handbags reduced from £300+ to £99. Still pricey but also good for a teenage main gift

CosmicVagina · 23/09/2020 08:57

DS (2) was given the toot toot airport for his birthday. The plane is ok but the main toy is badly put together plastic tat. We're going to get rid of it

XiCi · 23/09/2020 08:58

50% off all jewellery at Philip Jones with the code NEXT50. I've only had a quick look but there were some nice little bracelets and earrings that will be great for dd stocking.

Lazysundayafternoons · 23/09/2020 09:06

Yes, I've noticed prices starting to drop (very slowly) for items in my Amazon wish list. Now wondering if I should go ahead and buy now or if they are likely to drop further. I always get this wrong and buy at the wrong time!

Lockdownhairdontcare · 23/09/2020 09:14

@XiCi thanks. Lovely feather necklace for DD’s stocking for £7 with free delivery.

lexloofah · 23/09/2020 09:17

Boys shower stuff: my 12yo gets one of those mouldable shower foam things in his stocking and last year a foamie sponge I got in tkmaxx. He wasn't so bothered by the lush shower jelly. He still loves a bath bomb. I think they do character shower stuff like Harry Potter, Star Wars if into that.

I8toys · 23/09/2020 09:17

Urban Outfitters have added more to their sale - upto 50% off - some good things for teens in the home section. New Phone who Dis game £11, screen daddy wipe things for their phones, emergency phone kit etc - will get for stockings.

I8toys · 23/09/2020 09:22

Also got a disco light for the teens phone! Totally pointless but so what!

EvilHerbivore · 23/09/2020 09:24

Lego Hedwig on best price according to ccc

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/09/2020 09:25

Thanks to the poster who mentioned the argos sale! I got dd2 this alpca lego friends set half price for £27.50, she is llama mad she will love this www.argos.co.uk/product/8905839?clickSR=slp:term:alpaca lego:1:421:1

They had the new harry potter lego sets 25% off, debating the hedwig for dd1. And some games anyone played stupid deaths befire? Sounds right up dd1's Street and she loves horrible histories!

Anyone seen any five nights at freddys bargains? I could buy all day for dd2, dd1 isn't into much and never asks for anything except a kukubird mystery bag and build a bear vaporeon! Or any other ideas, Shes 11 just started secondary, not girly, into gothic things. No interest in makeup. We have all the latest consoles thanks to dh!!

TheDrsDocMartens · 23/09/2020 09:39

whoknows1230 · 23/09/2020 09:59

@XiCi

50% off all jewellery at Philip Jones with the code NEXT50. I've only had a quick look but there were some nice little bracelets and earrings that will be great for dd stocking.
Double check Philip Jones Jewellery on Amazon (www. class="break-all" href="https://amazon.co.uk/Jewellery-Philip-Jones/s?rh=n%3A193716031%2Cp_4%3APhilip%20Jones%29&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-christmas-4030370-Thread-7-the-one-with-matching-bowels-and-plates" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">amazon.co.uk/Jewellery-Philip-Jones/s?rh=n%3A193716031%2Cp_4%3APhilip+Jones) as, quite often, things are cheaper on there than on the main PJ website.

e.g. philipjonesjewellery.com/collections/earrings/products/rose-gold-tone-heart-stud-earrings are £9.99 on the PJ website, but £4.99 on Amazon.

I know the 50% sale is on, so they work out at the same price at the moment, but the Amazon prices tend to always be discounted.

My unoflip from onbuy arrived, no idea if it looks like a fake but I'm happy for £2, makes a nice stocking filler.

mummyof2boys30 · 23/09/2020 10:25

So ive decided to buy my FIL a food flask. Can anyone recommend one please? Or what size. Thinking for adult size bowl of stew etc. He works on building sites and brings a packed lunch so think this would be perfect
