Thanks @moonbabyandthebeast for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

These look good if anyone is doing a kids baking kit or for Christmas morning?

That bun kit is an inspired find, thank you so much, sod waiting until Christmas though I've set it up as a monthly subscription (even cheaper) and am about to be very popular in my household!

Friedbanana · 22/09/2020 01:09

The cinnamon bun kit looks amazing! Seems to be out of stock now unless I’m missing something? :( such a lovely idea though as a little gift!! For anyone just wanting one for a spot if baking Tesco do one too for £2- but not nearly as nicely presented/gift worthy! www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/301391634

Restlessinthenorth · 22/09/2020 04:46

Can't beat a bit of insomnia driven shopping...cinnamon bun kit winging its way to me!

Reastie · 22/09/2020 05:40

Anyone got a recommendation for nice (but bargain) stationary stuff for a teen/young adult? Thinking getting stuff from China but get overwhelmed when I search so any recommendations appreciated

I think they do the same cinnamon bun kit at Costco, we picked one up the other week. I'm at work right now but will have a look when I'm home.

flowerpower32 · 22/09/2020 06:13

Rats! Cinnamon bun kit gone, must have been a midnight special! Will keep an eye out

WisestIsShe · 22/09/2020 06:38

Thanks @EweSurname I'll have a look there.

Someaddedsugar · 22/09/2020 06:45

@Reastie have you tried Martha Brook London? Lovely notebooks and other cute bits. I bought some bits from there for my 17 year old cousin and she loved them as you can get them personalised.

Not the cheapest but they sell on NOTHS so if they do their discount weekend this year you could get a bargain?

hoopdeloop · 22/09/2020 07:10

@Reastie I quite like Typo for something different, lots of notebooks etc

I ordered the Uno cards from OnBuy, not had them yet but the fake dog poo I ordered from there arrived at the weekend. Not holding out much hope for the cards but at least they were cheap, I dont mind if they're rubbish. Will pop them.in a charity box.

tiddledpink · 22/09/2020 08:01

just on the cinnamon bun kits - definitely keep an eye out as they keep coming back in and out of stock.

I've had a couple now and they are a fairly decent size for gilts too as it also includes the trays.

tabbycat985 · 22/09/2020 08:28

I've just seen this in another group, would make a lovely baby gift

Gutted to have missed cinnamon bun kit. Thinkinh that would make a fab addition to Christmas eve box. Thanks for the idea!

I'm so sorry to ask as I know it must be a pain having to repeat things. But did I see a pre owned bookstore online? I prefer buying books second hand so would love to know which one it was. EBay hasn't been great atm. Thanks

YourHandInMyHand · 22/09/2020 08:47

@WisestIsShe I'm a childminder too and have some of the Paola Reina dolls from amazon. They come in different skin tones, hard bodied, good value, and not enormous so handy for stashing 3 in a toy box. Smile

Cinnamon bun kit at Costco too. The stuff is usually cheaper in store than for online delivery but I can't remember the in store price I'm afraid.

On the subject of costco they had a few christmas bits in, giant light up reindeer etc. I didn't notice wrapping paper but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.

tentative3 · 22/09/2020 08:48

@gingerbeerandlemonade second hand book shop might have been Abe books?

YourHandInMyHand · 22/09/2020 08:56

www.amazon.co.uk/paola-reina-baby-doll/s?k=paola+reina+baby+doll&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I've just had a look. If you scroll through there's lots. Mine were £6-8 when I bought them though so they're not quite as massively bargainous at the moment but still not bad. Mine have little outfits on and I have 3 different skin tones.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/09/2020 09:00

@gingerbeerandlemonade, World of Books sell secondhand. They are on eBay though, so if you've had no luck there, they may not have what you want.

SingaporeSlinky · 22/09/2020 09:05

What was the best place for new books now Book People isn’t trading please?

Wtfdidwedo · 22/09/2020 09:08

World of Books are good for second hand. Books2Door seems similar to Book People I think?
