Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

sorryiasked · 10/09/2020 11:24

Was someone after a train track table? Scrolled back but can't see it. Anyway studio have one for £49.99

steggyandrex · 10/09/2020 11:24

Up to 35% off selected Lego on eBay

@17caterpillars1mouse

Has anybody seen any deals on wooden Thomas trains to fit brio track. Dd2 is suddenly a big Thomas fan and already has brio track
They are quite hard to get deals on as they tend to push trackmaster more.

Trackmaster fits on brio track but don't use magnets to couple so can't attach to brio trains, but can to each other.

We already had the brio trains so have spent a fortune on some new wooden trains. We have also got some great bargains on marketplace. You can also get wooden Thomas like trains on eBay from China for very little money. We got 6 for £12 in think, but they are not perfect

sorryiasked · 10/09/2020 11:35

@17caterpillars1mouse have a look at bigjigs for trains, they always have some reduced

TenCornMaidens · 10/09/2020 11:40

Am jealous of those with a Lidl nearby.

This dinosaur set with playmat looks like a good deal but ends in 10 min Shock

The monkeys are still available through that link

Ehunt1 · 10/09/2020 11:47

I’ve just been to Lidl to get the waterproof trousers. Ended up buying the matching jacket too and a slushie making cup. It was £7.99. It’s £10 on Amazon with decent reviews. I think I remember someone talking about slushie cups on a previous thread.

@Allhallowseve or you could go for a Christmas tree wall hanging - there’s been one mentioned onthese threads for years that was very basic but effective - simple green felt triangle for the wall and felt de orations to add, bit like a giant fuzzy felt kit.

Just looked and they have pounced it up a bit but at £6 it’s not bad and if you sign up for their card there are usually some discounts to be had.

There are now lots of other people that make similar things and if you look on amazon/google/eBay etc there are lots, also lots of decals you can stick to the wall with decorated trees, winter scenes etc on.

In the past I’ve had a cute mouse joke decal to go on the skirting board looking into a cute mouse hole all decorated for Xmas. Also had nice decal baubles that I’ve used on Windows as decorations - they usually come from China but now is a great time to get them as they tak a while.

gingerbeerandlemonade · 10/09/2020 12:10

Thanks @sorryiasked hadn't thought to look there. Asda have some good deals on children's books- a good selection and they had all the busy books for £6

DelurkingAJ · 10/09/2020 12:20

@17caterpillars1mouse we got some second hand from eBay last year. I found a site that listed them all individually but it’s now defunct.

Ehunt1 · 10/09/2020 12:42

So I went to Morrison’s after Lidl and got the exact same slushie cup for £5. I’ll be returning the Lidl one.

mummymilkfloat · 10/09/2020 13:22

Hello! Ok after advice again, my daughter currently has a 3 wheeled micro scooter, she would like a 2 wheeler, any recommendations for brands to go for/avoid?
Thanks!!

WaitingForEgg · 10/09/2020 13:30

Ooh my daughter also wanting a 2 wheeled scooter @mummymilkfloat wondering if it’s worth going for a micro again or not

superstar84 · 10/09/2020 13:33

I'd recommend the micro sprite, ds had his for 3 years so far and it's still perfect

snugglyblanket · 10/09/2020 13:36

Studio do a wall mounted fibre optic tree that might be a good option with babies & pets?

Whattodowithaminute · 10/09/2020 13:38

We got this scooter from decathlon last year. I think they are good and regularly whizz around in it.

PowerslidePanda · 10/09/2020 13:44

Snapped up the Asda Lego - thanks! That'll be ideal for DD1 and nicely compliments the Amazon Duplo bargain I'd already got for her younger sisters Smile

Lellyo · 10/09/2020 14:05

Hi could any of you recommend some boys( aged 11) touch screen gloves please?

IggyAce · 10/09/2020 14:11

@Allhallowseve have a look at a pencil tree they are slimmer than a normal tree, I got one from Argos for about £15 that I put at the top of our stairs.

Emma1962 · 10/09/2020 14:12

Some nice MeMe London earrings on tk maxx at good prices. I may have ordered myself some! I’ve got some in silver and they are gorgeous. I paid nearly fully price for them so these are a steal.

22Giraffes · 10/09/2020 14:13

Thanks @wibdib and @LadyCatStark, can't leave the house as waiting for covid results, and then after googling for ages realised the trainers are exclusive to JD so just bit the bullet and ordered them. Thank you though!

mogtheexcellent · 10/09/2020 14:41

Anyone know if Fatface do an autumn discount? Have seen some landrover pants for DH and need to get in before the MIL beats me to it. DH is a bugger to buy for.

thebrightestcoloursfillmyhead · 10/09/2020 14:46

Lego Dots bracelets on offer at £4 in Asda and refill Dot packs £3. Everywhere else have these at £5 and £4 respectively.

beccarooney · 10/09/2020 14:48
@beccarooney are you still after Lakeland codes? Ive got £5 off a £30 spend and £10 off £50 (the latter for MyLakeland Club members only) PM me if you are interested.
Thanks so much for the code Woolly - order placed. For whoever was looking for nice hot chocolate bits: Lakeland have hot chocolate balls which melt to reveal marshmallows inside. I may have added one to my order to try out...
