Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thanks for the new thread

Found trainers dd wants on a clearance offer in JD Sports with £20 off. Still hesitating though as I hate paying postage, even click and collect isn't free. I'm so tight Blush

Clevererthanyou · 09/09/2020 23:30

Will you lovely people please keep an eye open for any (slightly cheaper than the previous thread) Hot chocolate marshmallow toppers please? My Home Bargains didn’t even stock them last year and it was the only thing my husband wanted 🙈 I’ll be forever in your debt!

@Furlougheddrinker

Hello everyone! First Post here but been keeping a watch on these threads thanks so much for the bargins! Will post anything if I find it.

I too am debating between a Yoto and a Tonies. Pretty much decided on a Yoto! Does anyone know of any discount codes or whether they go on offer ever? Thanks alot!

A lady I follow on Instagram under the name the.way.we.play did a really good video on the Yoto player and has a code for £10 off which is FRIEND-C8N2RMM - I’ve not been able to find any better offers for it. Check out the video if you’re still undecided, it’s what sold it to me and my husband over the Toniebox.

@Wtfdidwedo - thanks for link. Have you used any of their products before? It looks fab but I'm trying to decide whether DD(7) would get much out of it.

WaitingForEgg · 10/09/2020 06:33

Also to add if there are any other healthcare workers; if you aren’t already signed up to blue light discounts, really good discounts to be hadc

InDreamland · 10/09/2020 06:34

I got my Xmas Eve box marshmallow toppers from Next last year Clevererthanyou They were really nicely packaged and cheap. I think all the supermarkets do them as well. Ocado do these little stirrers that have the marshmallows included that look quite cute.

@icedaisy do you know if the Lidl waterproofs are true to size - I'll not have DS with me when I go that's all Smile

IggyAce · 10/09/2020 07:34

@JuiceyBetty at least you know that yours are coming separately, I was one missing from my parcel and I’m still waiting for a response from their customer service, who you only seem to be able to contact via email.

Allhallowseve · 10/09/2020 07:48

Hi all thanks for the bargains ! I don't have a bargain to share yet but after some Christmas wisdom .... this is our first year in new house we have a small front living room with bay window but can't fit a tree there as there is a chair in the way Sad
We can have a tree in our back room however I have a 7 mth old puppy and a 6 month old baby who I expect will be cruising by xmas . What can I do? Any ideas for decorations pleaseee??

wibdib · 10/09/2020 07:51

@22Giraffes worth checking the Adidas site to see if the trainers are also reduced on there - you can get free postage if you sign up to be in their club - which is free to do and as you’d need to give them your address to send the trainers to you’re not giving them anything you wouldn’t be doing anyway!

PinkDaydreams · 10/09/2020 07:54

@Allhallowseve this is going to sound terrible but.......do you have to have a tree up this year? We didn’t for our little ones first Xmas, we still had plenty of decorations and lights up as they weren’t reachable to little hands!

TheDrsDocMartens · 10/09/2020 07:55

Put a play pen round the tree. We did this for years as Dd2 liked to climb it.

icedaisy · 10/09/2020 08:00

@Someaddedsugar yes, if anything plenty room. Dd is two next month and I think will be in 1-2 till Christmas. They look new. Heading to get 2-3 for Christmas pile.

NerosFiddle · 10/09/2020 08:02

I haven't used them I'm afraid but looked at them a couple of times before deciding DSD was getting a bit old at 9. The brand sells products in Microsoft, Apple and Harrods though so I assume they're fairly trustworthy!

thelegohooverer · 10/09/2020 08:15

@Allhallowseve our tree was tied to a radiator for several years while the pets and dc were little, and when they were really small the tree was inside the playpen. It wasn’t the most stylish arrangement Xmas Smile

Someaddedsugar · 10/09/2020 08:41

@icedaisy perfect thank you! I'll head there at lunch time!

superstar84 · 10/09/2020 08:49

Had anyone used the garmin vivoactive 2 watches that are £29.99 in Argos & amazon?

Debating getting one for Dd who is 5, she's got a Vtech one that she loves but as it's got a camera on it she's been asked not to bring it into school

NoWordForFluffy · 10/09/2020 08:49

This. Works perfectly.

@Someaddedsugar I am a huge fan of the Lidl waterproofs as well and have them in various sizes, agree they are roomy, particularly the dungarees, last ages and ages. After 1-2 it’s dual sizes 2-4 and 4-6. I’m debating if I need to stock up on next size!
