Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Another one wanting to say thank you for the WH Smith headsup. I got the half price sharpie pens for one of my DD's who's in to adult colouring - great stocking filler and as she has LD's she'll like having a big box of them. Thanks again!

runningpink · 16/09/2020 12:36

@Flackattack

I usually get my gran a voucher for a local meal company where she orders and gets her meals delivered each week. Not the most exciting but something that she will at least use. Maybe something along those lines might help?

Trumpton · 16/09/2020 12:36

Two gins bought !
I told the cashier they were my new bedside lamps Grin
Only flavoured ones Clementine , and Rhubarb.

UselessInDisguise · 16/09/2020 12:38

Beer 52 delivery just arrived and its great, thanks for the tip. Do you all decant into something else or just wrap the box? I may take the mag out as its all 'welcome to the club' Blush

superstar84 · 16/09/2020 12:43

Has anyone tried the M&S gin for research purposes?! Wondering which ones the best!

Also how much are they?

TheGriffle · 16/09/2020 12:59

Smiggle advent calendar down to £20 just popped up on my Facebook.

KavvLar · 16/09/2020 13:02

@SharkWhale maybe some luggage? Or a set of fancy packing cube type things? It's tricky to get right but I always try to aim for the nicest version of something they wouldn't necessarily get for themselves. Something like these hanging wash bags there's a black version too? www.johnlewis.com/stackers-hanging-wash-bag/p4113550?sku=238114516&colour=Blush+Pink&s_ppc=2dx92700055696234935&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=CjwKCAjw74b7BRA_EiwAF8yHFPzESpaOWKgL9RqvH5RebFsg8hQ3Pp6q7DoLOOwLEH-cw2fGETyGvhoCKhkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

TheDrsDocMartens · 16/09/2020 13:04

How much is the gin?

KavvLar · 16/09/2020 13:06

@SharkWhale sorry I just read back and if you want a subscription they do flowers for a year for around your budget. Possibly even cheaper if you shop around and use cash back sites. www.bloomandwild.com/send-flowers/tagonly/year-of-flowers

Sneezein3s · 16/09/2020 13:15

Is it just me that found Twiddle Muff funny? Blush

Notlongnow1 · 16/09/2020 13:27

@Sneezein3s

Is it just me that found Twiddle Muff funny? Blush
Nope! Lol

Interesting choice of name, but makes you look it up! Or at least it did me Blush

HoldingForGeneralHugs · 16/09/2020 13:51

So i managed to get the puppets yesterday! And they have just got delivered. I was so excited and my husband looked at me like i was nuts! 😂

I promise i will never mention the puppets again!

Honeywort · 16/09/2020 13:52

@IggyAce

My GF is 80 odd and we are planning on getting him a bird bath this year. So if anyone knows of any bargains/recommendations please let me know.
I bought one from RSPB this summer. Was really nice and less than £20
luckiestgirl · 16/09/2020 13:56

I bought the £10 slime kit too - looks fun, I might give it to my own kid for Christmas so I get to play with it. Might hide the glitter first though

Lockdownhairdontcare · 16/09/2020 14:05

@UselessInDisguise mine just arrived too.
I plan to put them between DH and DS’s stockings.

margaritasbythesea · 16/09/2020 14:05

I have just noticed Some Very expensive Shaeffer pens about 50% off in the WH Smith Clearance section.

If someone was looking for a good pen as a gift, it looks like a good price to me. Don't forget currently free delivery today too.

Pens

Yeknom · 16/09/2020 14:11

Hopefully this helps someone as you're all so helpful to me - the code SUPER10 gave me 10% off my WH Smith order along with the free delivery x

Trumpton · 16/09/2020 14:18

Gin from M&S is £18 .
I put my bits of shopping with mil’s shopping and with two bottles of gins my sparks offer of £10 off £100 kicked in !
Happy !

IggyAce · 16/09/2020 14:22

@Honeywort thanks, do you have a link to the one you got? I may have to trip to our local reserve & see what they have in stock.

Lockdownhairdontcare · 16/09/2020 14:28

Thank you @Yeknom. Between sale, 10% and free delivery there are great buys.

Queenelsarules · 16/09/2020 14:33

@gingerbeerandlemonade thanks for slime code just bought some for my daughter, she'll love it!

Adelais · 16/09/2020 14:34

Not sure if been mentioned but Matalan Christmas stuff is available now :). Seen some nice things.

peasando · 16/09/2020 14:44

Managed to snare the last bottle of gin in our local M&S food (I'm clearly luckier with gin that with puppets!) - will make a fab gift for DSis. Am going to try a different M&S tomorrow though as I want one for myself too would like to get one of each flavour!

Speaking of puppets, when I finally managed to order them yesterday they said they would be delivered on 1st October but in fact I had a message this morning to say they're coming tomorrow! Definitely something weird going on with the availability...some sort of stealth marketing?

Also picked up my Asda Lego for DS, looks amazing for the price. Am off to investigate Matalan's Christmas stuff now because I always leave it too late and there's nothing left...

JinglesWish · 16/09/2020 14:54

Would love to hear if anyone tastes the gin. I want to give one bottle away, but not sure if I should keep the Rhubarb or Clementine 🤔

This is a great Asda deal for any Paw Patrol fans. The single pup/Dino packs are £10 each

recklessgran · 16/09/2020 14:54

Please has anyone received their swanky personalised Christmas tree boards from Lottie yet? I'm probably being impatient but I ordered on 30th August and dispatch is meant to be 5-7 days. Don't want to hassle them if this thread cleared them out! Ta.
