Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Toblerones are £3.50 in asda at the minute. Is that a normal price or shall I wait closer to Xmas, so they come down further?

thelegohooverer · 09/09/2020 20:21

Some nice Gisela Graham Christmas decorations reduced in Mollie & Fred sale, and some other nice bits. I really can’t justify this tree fairy but I really want it. It’s probably not a bargain if I have to buy another Christmas tree for it Hmm

DumplingsAndStew · 09/09/2020 20:24

My Dunedin scarves arrived today, so thanks to who posted about them. Like someone else said, they're quite small and thin, but very soft.
Still waiting on a purse and wallet being shipped.

DumplingsAndStew · 09/09/2020 20:25

Oh and my 'Find the Unicorn/Dinosaur' books arrived too, so thanks for posting them.

icedaisy · 09/09/2020 20:25

Lids kids waterproofs available from tomorrow. 5.99 for dungaree trousers and 7.99 for coats. They are almost rubber like, fleece lined. I got the tip from here last year and as a mum to a farm child in rural Scotland I can say they are the best wearing, best quality and most bargainous kids waterproofs I've ever bought.

Thegirlhasnoname · 09/09/2020 20:26

PinkDaydreams the local co-op to me usually drops them down to £2 so might be worth waiting a bit longer

I think this was in the Argos 2 for £15 but I hadn’t found any stock near me.

1stTimeMama · 09/09/2020 20:32

John Lewis and Tesco both have some of the newer ones on offer. I'm trying to find the new Burrow set for less than £90!!

Jfw82 · 09/09/2020 20:57

@JinglesWish try the code as 4SUMMER should be just under £7 delivered

SayNoToCarrots · 09/09/2020 21:03

I got my kukubirds. I am a size 10-12 and they are a good fit, but my main excitement is that they are long! I have fairly long legs and always buy jeans from the tall section, and I am amazed to find that they reach my ankles!

I don't think they are amazing quality, but they are more than good enough for a fiver each, let alone 2 for a fiver.

torthecatlady · 09/09/2020 21:10

@thelegohooverer the Mollie & Fred site is lovely... but not very bargainous when I want it all Grin

hiredandsqueak · 09/09/2020 21:13

@icedaisy do you have a link for the waterproofs please?

Furlougheddrinker · 09/09/2020 21:15

Hello everyone! First Post here but been keeping a watch on these threads thanks so much for the bargins! Will post anything if I find it.

I too am debating between a Yoto and a Tonies. Pretty much decided on a Yoto! Does anyone know of any discount codes or whether they go on offer ever? Thanks alot!

icedaisy · 09/09/2020 21:17

@hiredandsqueak I'm absolutely hopeless with links. If you go to lidl, click on in the middle, coming soon, from tomorrow is kids waterproofs.

JuiceyBetty · 09/09/2020 21:20

I got one of my Dunedin scarves. Will the other turn up?! Why are they posting things separately? Confused

hiredandsqueak · 09/09/2020 21:29

Ah thank you @icedaisy Flowers

InDreamland · 09/09/2020 21:36

If anyone is looking for nice bedding sets (not festive though) then Fishpools has a clearance sale on. Just ordered myself a new fitted sheet and pillow cases.

polkadotpjs · 09/09/2020 21:37

Anyone wanting sheepskin slippers - try not on the high street for lucky dip sheepers ones. £22 plus £3 delivery. I got very dark grey ones with stitched wool motif on the front but looked very cosy and cafe in a nice bag

Spam88 · 09/09/2020 21:38

Ikea have coffee plants for £3.50. Would be a lovely gift for coffee lovers! Perhaps a little early to buy though (especially if you're as gifted at killing plants as I am).

RainingDogsAndDogs · 09/09/2020 21:53

Nice wee FM/DAB radio from Tesco, only £9.75. Can order it online with your groceries!

Do they have a hard sole, or is the sole just leather? I prefer soft soled slippers. Also, are they wide at the toe, or Pointy? I have joint issues that make narrow toed footwear painful, so hoping they are wide!
StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 09/09/2020 22:07

@Thenagainmaybenot have a look at deals on amazon. They seem to come up fairly regularly.

margaritasbythesea · 09/09/2020 22:08

Thanks for the new thread Reastie.

I have just ordered the Sylvanian Cruiser Houseboat from their own website for £39.99 plus a fiver delivery. It us £50-60 in other places. They also do some good value bundles if you are looking to buy a lot. To my dismay, though, the lovely mole family seems permanently out of stock.Sad

Clementine8 · 09/09/2020 22:08

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight, old habits, to me it will always be home and bargain but technically yes, home bargains. It was a Liverpool store.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 09/09/2020 22:11

DD has seen the Lego Burrow set on tv this evening and now has decided she might like that!

Looking out for any bargainous deals!
