Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thank you for the thread and everyone who contributes, the famous bargain puppets have arrived and they are lovely.

IggyAce · 16/09/2020 10:08

My GF is 80 odd and we are planning on getting him a bird bath this year. So if anyone knows of any bargains/recommendations please let me know.

Restlessinthenorth · 16/09/2020 10:22

Thank you @gingerbeerandlemonade . Just ordered the slime kit. Looks like a lot of toy for a £10! The reviews are good too

JinglesWish · 16/09/2020 10:27

@IggyAce Have a look at National Trust I usually buy MIL bits for the garden from there. Recent years, I bought her a lovely bird house, bat box and metal frames for her climbing roses. All from the National Trust shop/website

JinglesWish · 16/09/2020 10:28

I definitely don’t need puppets, but keep checking stock levels anyway haha. Maybe I need puppets 😂

Delighted with the Dunedin Scarves! What’s our next group purchase?

Duckyneedsaclean · 16/09/2020 10:48

Disney book advent calendar for £9.99 on Amazon here

Looks like a great alternative to choc for small kids & bargainous

TheGriffle · 16/09/2020 10:49

Scbchl · 16/09/2020 10:55

@gingerbeerandlemonade thanks that's a great gift for £10.

Whydoyouthinkthatthen · 16/09/2020 11:29

Flack how about a twiddle muff.

I8toys · 16/09/2020 11:30

Got my gin from M&S. Quite a few on the shelves. Also got some lovely Amsterdam style house musical biscuit tins for £5 which would go nicely with it.

TheHalloweenFairy · 16/09/2020 11:32

@Hophop26 gin shopping / fun shopping - same thing Grin

Lockdownlumpy · 16/09/2020 11:33

Does anyone know, for the M+S gin in pretty Christmas bottles, does it come as just plain gin? I'm not really into the flavoured stuff, but I'd love the bottles Grin

I8toys · 16/09/2020 11:36

I just saw Rhubarb and Clementine gin

TheHalloweenFairy · 16/09/2020 11:36

@gingerbeerandlemonade just got the slime kit, looks really good, especially at that price, thanks!

Still waiting on one of my Dunedin scarves but the others are super soft and lovely

Yeknom · 16/09/2020 11:38

@sorryiasked thanks for the heads up on the pants. I got the email from MSE but it was a great find from you so I've ordered a pair - hope they fit! 😀

sorryiasked · 16/09/2020 11:38

@Scbchl have a look at Kidzlabs sets available in Amazon or at hobbycraft

SharkWhale · 16/09/2020 11:39

I also keep missing the puppets! Very strange item in amazon. I wonder if they are toying with us Grin

Apologise this isn’t Xmas related but you are all so fabulous with ideas and bargains I hope you don’t mind me asking ... My best friend got married on the quiet recently. Delighted for her as been together over 10yrs and have a lovely 5yr old girl. I’m really struggling with what to get her. I’d normally have got them a night away somewhere but again I’m reluctant to do so with Covid (they usually go on sunshine package deals twice a year but have said they won’t be going due to Covid). I’m considering just giving them some cash towards their next adventure or night away that they can choose themselves but id really like something physical to hand them as well. Maybe something personalised or a subscription to something. I’d quite like to get their DD a small keepsake as well for being flower girl at her mummy and daddy’s wedding. Any suggestions would be amazing. Budget around £200ish all in hopefully (she’s an amazing BF!)

applepinkierainbow · 16/09/2020 11:42

After a little bit of help. My 7 (nearly 8) year old DD has requested a microscope for Christmas. I have no idea where to start!

superstar84 · 16/09/2020 11:43

I have an lol bargain to share

In Morrisons, labelled as down from £12 to £9 but scanned as £3!

Thread 5 - the one where they send you mouldy pants in the post
Lemming20 · 16/09/2020 11:47

@sharkwhale how about a wine or gin subscription - there are some codes on the referral thread? For DD I always love a really beautiful book as a keepsake or one of our favourite gifts for our DD was a Steiff travel bear - comes on all our trips and we get a photo of the DC with him (not bargainous though...) congrats to your BF!x

FrenchieMum2Be · 16/09/2020 11:51

My first bargain find!
Playmobil 9502 Family fun set with a pickup and caravan, £17 free P&P from Ebay
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Playmobil-9502-FunPark-Pickup-with-Camper/293709103998
Sorry for long link!

neverbreaks · 16/09/2020 12:02

@Sneezein3s thank you, I’ll take a look. Still trying to get my head round why they’re so expensive! 🤷🏻‍♀️

QVCismyJam · 16/09/2020 12:06

Thank you pp for the WHSmith free delivery heads up have just got some great bits, really begrudge pp when on bargain hunting cheers.

Also, to all that are trying for the puppets, sorry but it keeps giving me a giggle bcs I remember the Brian Conley Show where he used to shout "It's a Puppet" - hope you are more successful than that poor puppet was with Brian lol Grin
