Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thanks @Monachopsis it's great to get recommendations.

Riverhouse · 15/09/2020 17:57

margaritasbytheseamy kids use the Thermos King Food Flask. Usually around £20 but my Sainsbury's have them for £13 at the minute. Keeps the food warm til lunch, we've put all sorts in it - pasta, cottage pie, pizza bites etc

mogtheexcellent · 15/09/2020 17:58

@Scanner20

Not much unfortunately. Reduced from 21.99 to 18.69.

They sell well on ebay afterwards, though I doubt my DD will let me get rid of hers. Her first was a Pirate Lottie I heard about on these threads 3 years ago. I bought it for 7.99 which is the cheapest I have seen them ever

IceIceCoffee · 15/09/2020 18:00

Hello first time commenting I think puppets are driving me mad too 😂

Willbob · 15/09/2020 18:03

Mg first time posting too. Just ordered some socks. Thank you.

Luxplus · 15/09/2020 18:07

My dd wishes the Little Live, Rainglow, any idea where to get for a good price?

22Giraffes · 15/09/2020 18:18

@Luxplus it seems it is a discontinued item so out of stock in a lot of places. Best price I could see was £40.99 through a seller on Amazon.

JuiceyBetty · 15/09/2020 18:20

@margaritasbythesea

On the back of my thrilling alarm clock request, could anyone recommed a food flask for me? DCs are having to eat a packed lunch and they are not happy about eating cold food every day. Older kids 10 and 12. Many thanks!
We have a Chilly's food flask (from John Lewis) and it's really excellent. Food stays piping hot.
BighouseLittlemouse · 15/09/2020 18:20

@margaritasbythesea - mine are younger but also use a thermos. I found the steel ones tend to hold warmth better.

You probably already know this but it helps to fill them twice with boiling water before filling with food. Also - and again apologies if this is well known I didn’t realise this but was a thermos virgin Grin - but I was told not to put dry food in such as rice etc as it doesn’t hold the heat so a greater risk for food poisoning. Apparently you need a small amount sauce to keep it hot enough!

Luxplus · 15/09/2020 18:31

@22Giraffes dammit. Perhaps there are newer versions available or coming.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 15/09/2020 18:34

@pinkjam they are so expensive! Definitely not buying the plane. I wouldn't normally pay £39.99 for one doll but kitty queen is my dds favourite lol doll and she's been talking non stop about the omg doll. And on the lol Facebook groups it seems the most popular and i reckon will sell out!

@scanner20 I've also got dd the clubhouse, I managed to do it with the entertainer birthday club so got 20% off, the furniture sets are v good value. Theres some on amazon at the moment for £10.99. My dd started with 1 omg doll, she took it everywhere including to bed, it started an obsession for her 😂😂😂

margaritasbythesea · 15/09/2020 18:35

Riverhouse, BighouseLittlemouse, JuiceyBetty -thank you for the flask information. Now they are older, I tend to put useful things in their stocking aswell as silly things -last year was sandwich wraps, bamboo toothbrushes and metal straws. This year alarm clocks and food flasks!

Scanner20 · 15/09/2020 18:36

@mogtheexcellent thank you, I thought a present for someone so depends how much it drops. Good the sell well though if not too attached!

dollypartonscoat · 15/09/2020 18:39

Omg. Missed them again Blush

Scanner20 · 15/09/2020 18:40

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts I'm looking forward to the clubhouse, looks fun. Thought ds would like to join in too.
I guess if it's something they really want then it's worth it. Makes them happy at Christmas and good you've got one as I've heard they sell for a lot on eBay once sold out. The plane will be half the price next year

thelegohooverer · 15/09/2020 18:49

A food flask would be perfect for my dd too, but not something I would have thought to put in her stocking. Thanks @margaritasbythesea for the inspiration!

gingerbeerandlemonade · 15/09/2020 18:53

Missed them AGAIN 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

ClaraLane · 15/09/2020 19:08

I am so fucked off, my husband has been piling things on top of each other in our spare room rather than actually putting them away and I’ve just found broken christmas presents. Only 2 melamine plates for DS but still! They were on sale at Rex London and obviously now out of stock Angry

whatwillicallmyself · 15/09/2020 19:10

oh that's flippin annoying @ClaraLane

Itwasntme101 · 15/09/2020 19:14

In case anyone has someone into wrestling to buy for I went on the WWE website to look at the masks as stocking fillers and they have 40% off t-shirts, 30% off hoodies and 20% off title belts. Also have quite a lot of stuff in the clearance section including some wwe themed tree decorations.
Website is euroshop.wwe.com/en_GB/Home

MummaPI · 15/09/2020 19:20

Now I want the puppets!! Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2020 19:26

Sounds like you're married to my DH, @ClaraLane, as he never knowingly puts things away, just moves them from surface A to surface B. Always an interim holding place. Xmas Angry (Can you tell it winds me up?!)

Mustangsallyis · 15/09/2020 19:33

Puppets!

gingerbeerandlemonade · 15/09/2020 19:37

Thank you 😊😊😊😊😊 I got some!

Mustangsallyis · 15/09/2020 19:38

Hooray Grin
