Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

The cross stitches look great Fluffy. I had to start mum's scarf again as the first went wrong. (I was trying to be clever with two colours and failed) I am going for one colour with different colour pom poms on.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2020 22:51

Sounds sensible re the scarf, Why.

I was always paranoid you could see the pad from behind me, it went so far up each side. Bloody enormous things.

Morning!

It's a lovely crisp autumnal morning today. It was still getting light when I set off for my run and I could see my breath.

My cross stitch look lovely in the frames, on the wall. Shame the previous people in the house didn't have a spirit level, so they're wonky! 🙈😂

Morning

Another foggy morning here.

Fluffy lovely x stitch.

We had ham got our dinner yesterday and it was so salty. I must have woke up about 5 times gasping for a drink.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2020 08:01

Bright and sunny here. I'm WFH all but one day over the next two weeks. Rubbish.

Dd still hasn't made her lunch and we have to leave in 10 minutes. She spends half the morning sitting on her bed feeling sorry for herself.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2020 08:12

I'm like that with takeaway pizza, Neros.

Here's the display. On the wonk!

My quads are seizing up already. I keep stretching them, but I'm not sure it's working! 🙄

Someone's got a bonfire and it stinks. I can't hang any washing out now Angry

CrazyBaubles · 21/09/2020 09:53

Daytime bonfires piss me off massively Wreck 😡 So bloody selfish.

Lovely cross stitches Fluffy

I wasted my entire weekend pretty much. I woke up a bit congested on Friday and it became a full blown cold by Saturday morning. I don't think it's more than that, just congestion, sneezing, runny nose, my temp is swerving between too cold and too hot and headache.
It's making it hard to sleep so I'm also tired and had a nap both days but I did manage to finish the Christmas cushion I made for my mum and started one of my Marejka Christmas cross stitch. It's a bit scary!

I have 2 meetings and a day of spreadsheets today - am arrays counting down to 4pm when I can log off.

I hope you feel better soon, Crazy. It seems never ending for you at the moment.

I love your cushions!

I'm getting a Marejka cross stitch for my birthday. I'd not heard of them until Most was looking to buy the one she's doing.

Morning.
TMI warning. Had D&V overnight. Feel like someone has driven a steam roller over me.
Do you think I should have my flu jab tomorrow am?
I'll be freshly showered and scrubbed and wearing a mask - so don't think I'd pass anything on to the pharmacist. If I don't it means I've got to try to re-book and DH would probably cancel and go with me. I really do need to get him stabbed with a needle, due to his history and previous flu jab avoidance
Thoughts?

WreckTangled · 21/09/2020 10:21

Oh no crazy sorry you're feeling rubbish.

Boots my medical professional (well I can pretend) advice is that no you shouldn't go but personally I think if you're feeling better then it's fine to go, as you said you'll be wearing a mask and extra clean.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2020 10:27

If I felt better I'd go. But not if I still felt dire and was symptomatic.

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 21/09/2020 10:32

Wreck - thanks. I know I shouldn't go, but the risk really is minimal due to wearing a mask. It'll be 34hrs after I was ill - so not the 48hrs generally seen as acceptable. DH is fine and swears it's something I ate even though we ate the same things except for a bag of salt and vinegar crisps

Crazy It does sound like a cold. Solidarity from the MN sickbay, and a socially distanced . You don't think it's been brewing for a few days and that's why your BP has been playing up?

Also, that Marejka chart looks terrifying! Shock

WreckTangled · 21/09/2020 10:33

Well you can shed a stomach virus for up to two weeks after your symptoms subside so I really wouldn't worry. If you feel better now you'll be fine to go tomorrow.

pussycatinboots · 21/09/2020 10:34

Fluffy, good point - if I feel this bad or worse I won't go. I really wouldn't want to pass it on.

pussycatinboots · 21/09/2020 10:37

Wreck, wow really? the 48hr rule is a bit lax then!

CrazyBaubles · 21/09/2020 10:38

I'm not sure if this was coming and pushed my BP up or if my Bp being up meant my immune system wasn't great which is how I got the bug Puss

Thanks for the SD hug 🤗

I think if you have no more D&V you should go for your jab.

Fluffy my immune system is rubbish and I always pick up on coughs / colds. My theory is that DH brings them back from school but doesn't suffer because he's a git he has a better system than me.

I'm sniffling so much I'm getting on own nerves. Even though I don't feel particularly ill I have an overwhelming feeling that I should get into bed and just hunker down 😂🤧

pussycatinboots · 21/09/2020 10:51

Crazy, do you take Vit D tablets? I've bought some as I always get bugs - when DH was working he was also a git generous and gave me everything doing the rounds in his office without getting it himself Hmm

I think you're all right, because I'll be wearing a mask the risk is lower. Who knows if/when I'll get another chance to book one?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2020 11:31

Vitamin D is great for boosting immune systems. And we're all deficient generally in this country.

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 21/09/2020 12:03

Sorry you've got a git DH like mine puss

I have Vit D & C tablets here but if I'm honest, I don't take any of them regularly - I forget then kick myself for it when I inevitably get ill 🙄
I'll have to dig them out. Do any of you take any other supplements? I think I have general mixed Vits, C, D and folic acid here somewhere.
I'd something that gives me energy and helps my crappy immune system.

Anyway, 1 meeting down, 1 to go 👍🏻

FireflyGirl · 21/09/2020 12:19

It's the other way around in our house - DH catches everything and I am usually fine (except the sickness bugs DS used to pick up at nursery).

Hope you feel better soon, Crazy

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2020 12:21

Crazy, we take separate D and C here (only since the Covid research about them). The kids have a kids' multivitamin. I've not been ill since taking them. But also haven't been anywhere to catch anything! 🤷‍♀️

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 21/09/2020 12:30

Crazy I have a pill box like a little old lady because I kept forgetting whether I'd taken my antenatal vitamins. I currently take those, B12 (had a deficiency after DS that went undiagnosed for 2 years) and Holland & Barrett Calcium and D3 soft gel capsules, and then I have Spatone sachets I take a couple of times a week (my iron levels are at the low end of normal despite not having periods because I was on the pill, and again I was very deficient after DS. I was prescribed tablets and (TMI, sorry) for the first time in my life was constipated and ended up with piles Blush. The Spatone just helps boost them a bit).

BiddyPop · 21/09/2020 12:40

Morning all,

We had a busy weekend here too. DH sold DD's old boat while I was trying to keep Cubs on rather than IN the water, lots of messages on Saturday afternoon including putting my various crafting results in storage for Christmas presents (I finished sewing the placemats and sewed the ends in on a scarf and blanket, so they are all away safe now), and a busy day of housework and cleaning for the morning and then sitting in the car while DD had training so lots of chatting to family and knitting to keep me busy. I have a list the length of my arm of small jobs to get done, but I am slowly making progress. And DH is suddenly on a "fix the house" spree, but he's taking care of lots of that list by making phonecalls.

BiddyPop · 21/09/2020 12:43

I have B12, D and a multivit, and Sambucol (elderberry), and generally forget them all. (And my asthma meds too...oops). I try and remember to take Fosfor as that seems to work well for me, and I should take iron (have got spatone a few times - there is actually almost a full box in 1 of my crates waiting to move offices since March as I found myself remembering to take them in work when I was forgetting them at home). And my diet at home is a lot less fruit and veg than in the office....I need to get better for winter.
