Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@TheSeedsOfADream that's really nice I saw it and wondered what the pages were like whether it was worth the money.

Wtfdidwedo · 09/09/2020 15:31

DSD has a hoverboard from Argos but I can't remember which one unfortunately. I think it was £150 a couple of months ago. She loves it though and is actually a lot better on it than I thought! I think we're going to get the hover kart attachment as her main present this year as she's getting harder to buy for as she gets older.

SingaporeSlinky · 09/09/2020 15:41

Went into Flying Tiger today and they had lots reduced. I got little pots of 4 erasers (one was little fruits, one was sweet treats and one fast food) for 50p. Lovely for stocking fillers.

TheSeedsOfADream · 09/09/2020 16:00

It's kind of like an old fashioned address book lolly- first section is an address book for cards sent and received, then a section for presents bought and ideas and lists, a recipe planning bit and a diary/calendar bit at the back.
I've bits of paper and notebooks with things scribbled on (like today Oodie Grin written on a random bit of paper) so I wanted something to organise me!

smartiecake · 09/09/2020 16:09

My Cox&Cox order came today
Most things are great but I ordered a gold string tree topper and that is utter rubbish. I would expect better in poundland. Dont buy one anyone using the code!!

ADayAlwaysHasToEnd · 09/09/2020 16:22

Never ordered from this website before but they do have the option of PayPal 2 bottles of gin £25

JinglesWish · 09/09/2020 16:51

I’ve received 3 of the 4 Dunedin scarves I ordered (other one is in transit). Lovely quality. Really pleased with everything I’ve ordered from these threads 👏

2nd attempt to post about hoverboard. My son got this for his 11th birthday in August and it's great. Good for adults too as it's got a 100kg limit. It's reduced in price by £10 since he got it too. He also got the conversation bit too.

I really should proof read, too many toos, but you get the idea...

XiCi · 09/09/2020 16:53

Where does everyone's DC use their hoverboards?
Is it private land/gardens only?

Vebrithien · 09/09/2020 16:59

@Lolly34h I have that planner, got it last year. It's lovely to use, feels like a luxury. Sections are good for 5 years.

On the other hand, Home Bargains have a paperback A5 ish Christmas planner for £1, if you want to see how much use you get from it.

Vebrithien · 09/09/2020 17:02

Matalan have up to 80% off of selected toys, in-store.

66% off of wooden veg and fruit chopping sets, large plastic toddler toys. No Christmas stock on the shelves yet, but space being made. 70% sale on all of their summer clothes too, including character swimwear for children.

KillZill · 09/09/2020 17:12

Found on latestdeals.co.uk so can't comment on quality but £6.99 for a fleece single blanket on eBay. Available in different colours.

TheSeedsOfADream · 09/09/2020 17:34

Brentford's (for those old like me Grin) are an established brand where we all got our bedding from in the 70s so quality is probably fine.

Wtfdidwedo · 09/09/2020 17:54

@XiCi

Where does everyone's DC use their hoverboards? Is it private land/gardens only?
Yes legally it's private land only. We live in a cul de sac, a few minutes walk from a large park with paths, and a cycle track though and haven't had issues using it there.
EvilHerbivore · 09/09/2020 18:06

I have put an iwoot code on the referrals thread - you get 20% off and I get £5 credit

beccarooney · 09/09/2020 18:07

Hi - joining the party a bit late this year but excited to see all the bargains :) I was wondering if anyone please has a Lakeland discount code e.g. for £30 spend - am after something for DS starting uni. Thanks very much!

Thenagainmaybenot · 09/09/2020 18:09

Thank you to the person who recommended Next for bedding - I would never have looked there but have found at least 3 I like :).

CactusForever · 09/09/2020 18:09

Thanks for the heads up @smartiecake, the three topper is stilling in my Cox&Cox basket!!

CactusForever · 09/09/2020 18:10

*the tree topper is sitting in my Cox&Cox basket

Thenagainmaybenot · 09/09/2020 18:10

And now after another recommendation - outdoor fairy lights. I have a few small trees in the garden so am after battery operated ones with fairly long strings, but would would be great if anyone has ordered any as the choice is bewildering!

smartiecake · 09/09/2020 18:13

@CactusForever dont bother! Utter rubbish. My other things were good - some felt decorations and a wooden star with lights are nice
