Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@CactusForever zavvi have kids sized Harry Potter t shirts. They are usually £12 each but were recently on sale at two for a tenner. Might be worth keeping an eye out.

FilthyforFirth · 09/09/2020 11:37

Glad to help @UselessInDisguise! I know what you mean, I am spending a small fortune on Amazon so always pleased to buy elsewhere.

thelegohooverer · 09/09/2020 11:38

@superstar84 I use adult aprons with my dc and just snip the loop that goes around the neck and stitch the ends onto the waist ties (a couple of safety pins would be fine too). It pulls the apron up into a better position for kids. The waist tie ends up a bit high at the back but otherwise it’s fine.

Depending on what your idea of a bargain is, the Fortnum and Mason beauty advent calendar £195 but allegedly with £800 worth of products in it - calendar contains 14 full-sized products and 16 deluxe samples.

Flackattack · 09/09/2020 11:42

@Raindancer411 the leapfrog ice cream cart is brilliant and the most popular toy we’ve had! About £45 but saw it on offer for £30 the other day -well worth it!

danuta22 · 09/09/2020 12:03

Tk Maxx had loads of different aprons in store, from around £6.99. diffferent patterns, designs and materials

pasinphoebe · 09/09/2020 12:10

No problems @Bezzi hope you found them in stock somewhere Argos drives me mad sometimes !!
For any Lego fans .. amazon currently have the downtown fire set on offer for £62, usually £90.
Still a lot of money really but quite a chunky saving If you are after Lego city sets

ZIGGY911 · 09/09/2020 12:27

I've just collected the cheap smell games from the entertainer and spotted these Lego books. Nice little stocking filler at 99p

About £5 cheaper than Amazon to pre-order Mario 3D All-Stars for the Switch on Simply Games. Amazon might match it but I need a break from ordering from them! Free UK postage, £2.50 to Ireland (and still cheaper, hurrah!).

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/09/2020 12:46

Ds into Dr Who so any bargains on that let me know!
Also looking for Harry Potter Lego and stuff for dd1/2 at uni. Not into clothes/make up etc

superstar84 · 09/09/2020 12:55

TheSeedsOfADream · 09/09/2020 13:31

My Christmas planner has just arrived. A present for me! Xmas Grin
I can vouch for Woolovers quality. Got some jumpers that are years old and still like new.

Strawberryfield12 · 09/09/2020 13:48

Thank you so much for sharing Little people big dreams tip. I have had these books in my Amazon basket for ages, totalling around £100. Really wanted to buy them for DD, but the price...

Not sure if this is Tesco club card specific, but yesterday got a voucher £5 off on £35 spend on Toys with online code XXTPML, valid until 20/09/2020

Lolly34h · 09/09/2020 13:59

@TheSeedsOfADream where did u get your Christmas planner I really want one

Equimum · 09/09/2020 14:30

Our Sainsbury’s has some reduced Lego, including one of the Hidden Side sets at half price (£12.50).

Sneezein3s · 09/09/2020 14:33

Thanks those who advised for their help with TonieBox/Yoto questions. I’ve narrowed it down to one or the other of these as I really want DD to be able to use it alone and not need access to a screen. I was just wondering if the stories are read in UK or US accents? Thanks again

Restlessinthenorth · 09/09/2020 14:42

@MsMiaWallace my son has just mentioned he would like a hoverboard. Do you have a recommendation?

MsMiaWallace · 09/09/2020 14:58

I don't. I was looking at some on Amazon. They look good!

Reastie · 09/09/2020 15:06
