Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@whoknows2 studio sell both sizes and argos have the small one - not on offer at the mo but a couple more places to try.

CompleteBarstool · 07/09/2020 15:42

@TenCornMaidens

Just a warning, lots of reviews on Google saying the clearance shed is not honouring orders despite taking money.... Confused
Thanks for the warning.

I'm not likely to spend more than £10-15 but handy to know in case anyone was about to buy the larger priced items

@Scoleah thank you - that discount works!

Notlongnow1 · 07/09/2020 16:34

These come up regularly on Facebook marketplace if you would consider preloved. Ours was a fiver then bought a new cover for about a tenner iirc.

JinglesWish · 07/09/2020 16:37

DS (nearly 5) just found his main birthday present. To be fair, it was in an open amazon box on the spare bed, but he’s never looked at any boxes before.

Warning to myself that I need to do a better job of hiding Christmas presents, as they’re all sat at the bottom of in spare wardrobe which he could have easily opened!!!!

Luxplus · 07/09/2020 17:18

@CactusForever we have magformers and they are absolutely brilliant. My 2 dds plays with them at least 3-4 times a week. They are well made and sturdy.

I'm after a magazine subscription bargain for the next few months, admittedly for me! Has anyone seen any advertised? It's for good housekeeping. Thanks

woodwaj · 07/09/2020 18:59

@dollypartonscoat thanks. I had only added to my wishlist!

UselessInDisguise · 07/09/2020 19:02

Oh I think I just found it for 3 months for £3!

Pepperwand · 07/09/2020 19:04

Just adding my thanks to the person that posted the UKGE website. My 3 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs and space so a site selling genuine fossils and meteorites is ideal!

eliope · 07/09/2020 19:08

@pepperwand my pleasure, it's a great site isn't it. It's nice to give something back to these threads, has always helped me so much over the years.

RubySlippers77 · 07/09/2020 19:15

@CactusForever there are some half price Magformers sets on their own website:

RubySlippers77 · 07/09/2020 19:22

@CactusForever I am also on the hunt for magnetic tiles. This is my experience: my son has been bought Magformers and Children’s Hub before. He loves playing with them but is forever wanting to make bigger constructions and we run out of tiles. I find the Magforners a bit small and you don’t get many in the sets but the magnets are really strong. I like the Children’s Hub for the size and he seems to prefer building with them. We’ve also got loads in the set including a wheel base and bases that can be used for houses; however, I can’t find this brand on Amazon at the moment and the magnets are not as strong as the ones in Magformers. Having researched all this I’ve decided on Playmags - they seem to have the size of the Children’s Hub and magnetic strength of Magformers. I have a CCC alert on for their 100 set and am hoping it comes down in price.
