Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Matalan had some good discounts in store today.

Mens scarves & gloves reduced from £10-£12 to around £1.50 each & last years Christmas stock with various deductions.

Scarves & gloves might be good stocking fillers for older teens.

Also The Range were unpacking their new Christmas stock! Yay!

TheSeedsOfADream · 07/09/2020 13:37

@thelegohooverer, thank you, I messaged them on FB and the guy is sending me a clicky email.

Allbeauty have a further 25% off their outlet with MUSTHAVE code. I can vouch for them for skincare and toiletries.

ScoobySnacker · 07/09/2020 13:54

Joining late this year on thread 4!! For anyone with tweens\teens Sass and Belle have a few stocking filler bits in their sale. My main buy for DD this year is a Fjallraven backpack. No luck with any discounts as yet but if anyone sees any I'd love to know.

CactusForever · 07/09/2020 14:01

I'm looking for magnetic tile toys, Magformers or similar own-brand. Anybody bought any that they were happy with? Amazon is a maze of contradictory reviews and I just want to buy a set that works.

IggyAce · 07/09/2020 14:03

I too got a dispatch email from Dunedin, so fingers crossed there lovely items.

Word of warning about Sass & Belle an item arrived damaged and so far their customer service has been poor and still isn’t resolved. I will be contacting my card provider if it isn’t sorted by the end of the week. I won’t be buying from them again.

Pound toy order arrived very happy with that some great stocking fillers for DS.

Smileatthesmallthings · 07/09/2020 14:09

@cactusForever we got magformers brand new from eBay. I absolutely love the space set, it has lots of cards to help play. My 3yo likes telling me which ones to make but I think as he gets bigger he'll use the instruction cards more.

Keep an eye on ASOS. I think they have them and regularly do 20% off sitewide.
Smileatthesmallthings · 07/09/2020 14:13

It was the space WOW set we have. It is pricey but the magnets work great. I havent used any other brands to compare though.

999caffeineplease · 07/09/2020 14:13

@ScoobySnacker keep an eye on Urban Outfitters for Fjallraven bags, they regularly have them for 20-ish% off, and often have stackable codes for additional % off. I've had a couple for about £50-60 before now.

Have checked and there don't seem to be any at the moment but they definitely had them not long ago and I know their sales come up regularly.

WisestIsShe · 07/09/2020 14:15

@ScoobySnacker it depends on which colour you want. The cheapest I could find for DD was surfdome with 10/15% new customer discount (can't remember). UO and Asos often have a 20% discount too but not as many styles available.

CompleteBarstool · 07/09/2020 14:16

In Wilkos today they had those Bic 4 colour pens half-price (so £1 for the original ones or £1.10 for the metallic ones) and Tippex pens and corrector ribbon dispensers half-price (£1.20ish) ...... good stocking fillers for students.

They also had loads of random stuff in the reduced section which will probably vary from store to store . In ours there were 2 cages of stuff, one of which had baby toys and the lap trays for their fake Lego.

CompleteBarstool · 07/09/2020 14:23

Oh, I meant to ask if anyone can remember the name of a website I saw on these threads last year.........

It seemed to sell random stuff but lots of kitcheny homeware items - colourful plastic bowls, salad servers etc . Prices started at less than a pound for some things like novelty bookmarks, stationery. Odd other things too like scarves and hats, pet accessories but not a wide range of those things IYSWIM

It was probably end of range stuff that they buy in and sell off cheap.

Sorry it's a bit vague!

ScoobySnacker · 07/09/2020 14:24

@WineandDine @999caffeineplease and @WisestIsShe thanks for those sites. I'll keep a look out !

SpecialK24 · 07/09/2020 14:31

Found these bath bomb type things in Primark for £2.50 each. There is 4 surprise bath products inside. Great for stockings xx

DustyLoafer · 07/09/2020 14:34

Thanks "@DaisyChops* it looks like I need to chase them up, thought it was too good to be true!

wibdib · 07/09/2020 14:40

@CompleteBarstool was it the clearance shed (or something similar to that!)? I got some crazy bargains from there after seeing them on here - I remember going through the site thinking that’s good, that’s a bargain, that will be useful, that will be fun... then realising I had £200+ of odds and sods so needed to go through my order 3 times being progressively more ruthless to ensure that I wasn’t getting stuff for the sake of it and that everything had a definite recipient or purpose in mind!

Which reminds me, had been planning to check what they have in this year - haven’t dared look in until I could legitimately say I am Christmas shopping!

CompleteBarstool · 07/09/2020 14:44

@wibdib you star, that's the one!

I can't believe you got it from my description!

I'm off for a browse now Grin

JinglesWish · 07/09/2020 14:46

Some good stocking filler Harry Potter bits at The Works

wibdib · 07/09/2020 14:50

@CompleteBarstool It’s only because that’s exactly how I was trying to describe the site to my sister a little while ago when she was saying she needed something that was something I’d also bought from them last year Grin

I also mentioned it needs a warning sign as it’s so easy to think oh I’ll just have one of these and one of those and end up with a £200 basket ConfusedGrin

dollypartonscoat · 07/09/2020 15:04

@woodwaj those snowman things were in Poundland last Christmas

TenCornMaidens · 07/09/2020 15:08

Just a warning, lots of reviews on Google saying the clearance shed is not honouring orders despite taking money.... Confused
