No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Isadora2007 I just bought the poshest wrapping paper I’ll probably ever buy (reversible!) and matching ribbon from Cox and Cox.

@luckiestgirl oooh which one did you go for? I got the stars one and the vintage cars one along with the you are hard to buy for ribbon but always curious to see what other people go for!

@Someaddedsugar I got the reversible gold on one side and navy with small gold stars on the other, with gold ribbon. I loved that ‘you are hard to buy for’ ribbon

Thinking out loud here, I wonder what the copy Oodies are like on amazon. We live in a chilly house but it’s a lot of money for a cosy jumper

I have a copy Oodie from Amazon (eBay also sell them) and it's fabulous. Really thick, warm, long and cosy. Super soft.

The works has 10 children's Christmas books for £10.

@CactusForever I would just stick to the Magformers as they don’t work with the bigger tiles so it’s even more annoying as you end up with lots of different bits.

You can read Good Housekeeping for free if you pay for Kindle monthly. Not the same as a paper copy I know but maybe good for a look through before you pay for it.

Sorry if it’s been asked, but has anyone heard if the normal yearly sales will be happening this year? Like the Argos 3 for 2, Smyths toys, supermarket half price sale etc.

@SingaporeSlinky I believe from previous posts that Smyths aren’t running their usual promotion and I don’t think Sainsbury’s are doing their usual toy sale.

Sainsburys might be doing the toy sale. I will post as soon as my relative confirms either way.

I’d suggest signing up for Smyths mailing list. Last year they were trying to spread out the bargains a bit more to avoid the mad scenes (I think there were a couple of violent episodes the year before iirc). I’d say there will probably be a run of offers. The 20% sale is as much to clear space on the shelves for the new Christmas stock. I’m hopeful that there might be a few decent bargains to be had,

Can I throw connetix tiles into the ring for magnet play? We had Magformers first but they didn’t get huge amounts of use as structures felt quite wobbly. We’ve since sold all our Magformers to be able to buy connetix. They’re so strong and easy to build with. Used absolutely every day in our house- not cheap but such a great open ended toy.
