Thanks @sorryiasked for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Clevererthanyou it us funny you mention that.

I tried to find information on the owners of the scarf site, as the goods were listed very cheaply and it seemed on TrustPilot someone hadn't received their order yet from August. The owners' names are in their privacy policy. There are a couple of Scotsman articles from around a decade ago (one by Alan McEwan) about people of the same name that were accused of selling goods from China under the guise of being "Scottish" as well as another 'incident'. I don't want to worry people who have ordered and do hope the orders arrive. It may be best for anyone else to research yourselves before buying from unknown companies.

@Friedbanana

Cox and cox Christmas shop is open! So much gorgeous (v expensive) stuff- who else is hoping for another £20 off £25 spend this year?!?!
The deal is indeed still on! I put a code on the referral thread for £20 off a couple of weeks ago.

Boots have the super size Hoola bronzer for about £25, which is lower than the RRP for the normal size (around £27)

Amazonmulu · 05/09/2020 08:29

Morning!

Does anyone know if John Lewis will be doing the 20% off across the Home and Garden range before Christmas?

DD has picked out some bits for first house and it's adding up to a lot 🙈 I'm hoping the 20% off will happen.

Focusanddetermination · 05/09/2020 08:31

Ah sorry I bought last night it's now gone out of stock but here's the link. Jumbo size

Isadora2007 · 05/09/2020 08:31

I paid PayPal for the bargain scarves so
Am not unduly concerned and to be fair their trust pilot reviews are not bad, and many are good. But I agree it is always worth checking things for yourself and a timely reminder for us all to not just jump on the bargain bandwagon again at a cost to ourselves.

Friedbanana I've already used my £20 off at Cox and Cox Grin. Theres lots of referral codes on the referral thread.
Thanks sorryiasked for posting about the Alexa diffuser. Just nabbed one. Over 80% have been claimed on the lightening deal so think the deal will be over soon.

HoldingForGeneralHugs · 05/09/2020 08:58

@DaisyChops are you a member of H&M? im fairly new and keep getting emails with 15/20% off. I have to delete straight away as i just kept ordering things 🤦‍♀️

Anyone who wants Harry Potter bits, i had a nosy round the Boots sale and they have some lovely bits (make up, bubble bath etc).
Also for dinosaur fans they have dinosaur egg bath bombs, they look very cute! All the boys in my family are getting some i think 😂 and it 3for2 online so thats good!

Chocolatecake12 · 05/09/2020 09:16

I’ve just tried to place my photo box order for the magnets which were on their site at £3. By the time I’d signed in it had changed to £11.99! Not going to order at that price.

Friedbanana · 05/09/2020 09:21

Oh wow!! I hadn’t realised cox & cox was still on! Off to the referral thread!! Thank you!!!!

Flackattack · 05/09/2020 09:34

Also something I saw here last year - personalised glasses cleaning cloths £2.53 delivered from eBay - add a photo and text.
Nice little gift for grandparents

Someaddedsugar · 05/09/2020 09:35

@HoldingForGeneralHugs can you remember how much the bath bombs were? I've been looking for one for DS and had found a Jurassic World one online at B&M but couldn't buy online.

PinkDaydreams · 05/09/2020 09:37

Someone on here was asking about travel mugs. PLEASE DON’T GET THE BODUM ONES! They’re awful, me and DH have one each. They leak, only keep liquid hot for around an hour and also make the drink inside taste strange. We’ve replaced them with the same ones as thought possibly faulty batch but they are the same.
I am now on the hunt for new ones but not sure which to purchase?!

IHeartKingThistle · 05/09/2020 09:38

I love my Bodum one! Grin

HoldingForGeneralHugs · 05/09/2020 09:42

@Someaddedsugar they are £5 for 3 (i have attached a picture i think? 😂)

DoctorYang · 05/09/2020 09:45

Where is the referral thread? The link in the OP takes me to a broken page and I can't find one in the Christmas topic.

TheSeedsOfADream · 05/09/2020 09:59

Cox and Cox aren't delivering abroad due to Covid.

Listen!!!!! Sssssh!

That's my credit card heaving an audible sigh of relief. Grin

Though, I always hunt for equivalent stuff on ebay ecc for C&C as apart from the giftwrap (which is utterly devine ) you can generally find similar stuff.

DoctorYang- it's a fair way down the Christmas topic. It was on page 2 the other day. Because everyone thinks we are mad! Grin

I am now buying myself and everyone travel mugs and thinking how did I never think of one of these before!

tootsnwoocake · 05/09/2020 10:04

@DoctorYang referral thread

wherethewavesarehighest · 05/09/2020 10:06

Have just ordered the Contigo westpoint one, how can so many of you and 48,000 amazon reviewers be wrong??
Now I want one for my Christmas too!
