Ooh firefly if I do have any questions I will ask thank you.

I am knackered and just cooking dinner (I know I know) just don't have time for a full dinner on a 14 or 15 hour shift.

Two days off now though.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 06/06/2020 07:33

Morning all :) Keeping everything crossed my new cross stitch arrives today but the post is very unpredictable at the moment.

Love all your new ones boots

We are going to drive somewhere for a walk today, so excited!

Morning! It's still wild here and set to continue until lunch today then that's our rain done. It's been a bit disappointing really as butt 2 has stayed resolutely almost-empty.

Most, the post is really bad in Liverpool. We've had real issues getting stuff to and from clients. I hope the elephant arrives today!

Why, enjoy your days off!

Cute babies, Most!

I've cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and been to Aldi for some bits.

I also made chocolate chip cookies and gingerbread not-men with the kids before cleaning the kitchen!

Not sure what to do now! Maybe I'll pootle in the garden for a bit.

Those cookies look amazing!

We went to a nearby common for a walk this morning. The dc moaned most of the way.

We're getting an Indian tonight as I can't be bothered to cook. Still feeling really blah.

I just ordered ds a book called 'Felix after the rain' very apt for him if you know his name Wink it looks lovely, fluffy maybe a nice one for your ds too?

NoWordForFluffy · 06/06/2020 17:22

Wreck, they're like shop-bought (bakery) cookies. It's the best recipe I've tried so far (and I've tried many!).

What dish are you getting? I got steak from Aldi and we put Blacksticks Blue cheese on while it rested. It was a-may-zing!

I'll look at that book, thank you.

Your baking looks amazing fluffy!

DS' school uniform arrived today and I am so emotional.

No sign of the cross stitch though Angry

BrightonBB · 06/06/2020 17:33

Hope it’s ok to post as I generally lurk - those cookies look fabulous. Are you able to share the recipe please @NoWordForFluffy

NoWordForFluffy · 06/06/2020 17:44

@BrightonBB, here you go!

Most recipes bake them for too long. We used white chocolate chips in ours today. They're very moreish. 🐷😂

They do look just like shop ones! Yes please share the recipe. (Unless you're pretending and got them at Aldi Grin)

I'm having an chicken chaat and saag paneer, will go and collect it in a minute. Nhs discount too which is good because it's not cheap.

It's beautiful Fluffy l love it so sweet Smile
Forgot to tell you all what the Bob arguement was about the other night. It was about Bob being married before he married his second wife and because he didn't tell Muvver Hmm poor bgr it was over 70 yrs ago just after the war & married her in haste before he went to serve for 2 yrs national service. When he came back she was pregnant by someone else and they divorced . It happens Sad l stuck up for him and told her off , it was 70 yrs ago and none of her business! She had been rooting about looking at Bob's papers there and found his marriage cert to his second wife Hmm who he married in 1960! Of course it said his first marriage had been dissolved? l think she said but it was so long ago so what! She's a nosy parker my muvver! Poor Bob !

Morning!

I've been awake forever. Annoyingly. The kids are still asleep, typically.

It's weeding day today. And I've more squashes to get in the ground too. Oh, and paving to put between beds too.

I'm excited to see what's growing today! And no doubt I'll have to teach some runner beans how to actually run as they're mostly useless at it! I tied them all on before the wind so hopefully they've done it themselves!

Mrs, that's a bonkers thing to argue about! 😂

Morning.

I couldn't get to sleep till after 1 this morning, then dd has been up since 3. I'm going to need a lot of caffeine to get through today.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/06/2020 10:20

Delicious looking cookies Fluffy . I used a Martha Stewart recipe recently but even though I used less salt (and unsalted butter) my DC said they were too salty . (You need a tiny bit to offset the sweetness though)

Mrs that is a weird thing for an argument indeed . Everyone has a past and your Mother needs to respect this . (Though I know with my own family , especially on my DMums side -my GrandParents- they took offence at the most inexplicable things that they imagined to be a slight )

I am Angry watching news about the riots following the mainly peaceful protests (the BLM protests) . The throwing of the flares, the water bottles and the bikes being thrown to deliberately harm .(There were a load of posts yesterday suggesting how wrong people were to put the welfare of a Police Mounted Officer and their horse above the Welfare of the Protesters so I won't go into any more )

Plan to waft round with the glass recycling , have a Socially Distancing Walk

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/06/2020 10:23

We are at Goldcliff Mrs :)

Sorry, I have been MIA again. Suddenly jumping back into full time work has been a shock to the system, my poor back doesn't know what's happened to it.
I've set up a lovely little office in the spare room so next week should be better.

Lovely coo Fluffy.

most Goldcliffe looks lovely. I'm gutted we can't get out at the mo (my car is in the garage AND DH still has a cough. I'm going to explode if we don't get to meet up with people soon!

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2020 17:31

Crazy, how long has he had the cough? I'm pretty sure you only have to isolate for a certain amount of time and if no other symptoms you can be released into the wild again!

I spent 5 hours at the allotment today. Mostly weeding / digging over, but I also put 4 more squash plants in. It will be squash every meal come autumn!

I have 2 baby pumpkins coming already. I'm very excited!

I think I removed about 3 sacks of mares tail today. It's everywhere!

Most, your day out looks lovely.
