NoWordForFluffy · 09/07/2020 22:25

Have we ever got to 12?!

We're not quite at one a month, so maybe not. Depending on how much it picks up nearer to the big day.

Must be A Sign Xmas Grin

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:08

Morning everyone 😀
Our day off today 😀
Children over the road aged 2 & 4 on their bikes riding up and down the pavement at 7 o'clock this morning screaming and shouting. Haven't had a very good nights sleep consequently turned into a horrible old hag 😂😂😂, it's unbelievable how crabby not enough sleep makes me feel.I feel like getting a Mosquito device , Bah Humbug 😂
We are off to Cardiff Bay , we haven't been since l don't know when am looking forward to it. Will be suited & booted against the virus with my Hazmat suit on 😁😂🤣
Hope everyone is ok , have a great day everyone 😀

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:12

70 that must have been a sign from above 😂
However we always cook ours in the microwave but if you mean you are going to make your own Christmas pudding in your pressure cooker that is very impressive am mentally applauding you here 😂🤶🌲🎁⛄

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:16

I forgot the countdown but l am not sure, despite trawling back whether it is , 168, 169 or 170.
I will leave it for Fluffy thank you yet again m'dear😃💐

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:19

168 I found it 🤓 l felt bad leaving all the work for you Fluffy 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 10/07/2020 08:20

168

I think we had a pressure cooker when I was a child. Maybe. It was a good while ago! We haven't eaten the Christmas puddings I made for last year yet though. 😂😂

I wouldn't let ours play out at 7am. That's selfish. I also had a crap night's sleep though, but mine was because I struggled to get to sleep (I ended up talking to Why for a while before finally nodding off).

We ditched our microwave in favour of the KitchenAid. Something had to give, and it was that! 😂

It's sunny here. Woooooo!

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:25

"Fluffy* l think you get way more work out of your kitchen aid,
wise decision.
The parents ARE being selfish you are right! Wish it was sunny here , nevermind it might be nice in Cardiff 😁☀️🌞😎🔆🕶️👓🍨

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 10/07/2020 08:28

It's sunny here Mrs so should be in
Cardiff :)

Going to the depot later to get my parcels!

Playgrounds are reopening in time for the summer holidays here so that is a massive relief.

Have never had a pressure cooker only a slow cooker.

Mrsmadevans · 10/07/2020 08:36

Aw fingers crossed Most enjoy your parcels 😊
Yes great relief the parks are open. We have a beautiful park just around the corner, it's been open the whole time through lockdown. Everything seems to be opening up and the threat of Covid seems to be a nasty memory for some ppl judging by the behaviour of some ppl in the local shops . Bah humbuggery of the first order going on here this morning 😂 .Hey ho masks at the ready 😂 chops away 😷😷😷

mummabear1967 · 10/07/2020 09:06

Just come across this thread - hi everyone!

Do we all think lockdown will be over by Christmas? I hope it is!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 10/07/2020 09:09

Hi bear, I really hope so. If we don't get a second wave it definitely will be but it's all unknown of course at the mo. I am staying optimistic though as we have a big family Christmas booked at Ribby Hall with the ILs.

mummabear1967 · 10/07/2020 09:14

@Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear aw that sounds lovely, I really do hope you get to go!

And yes - hopefully there isn’t a second wave. I live in Northern Ireland and we are doing quite well with numbers, but I’m just worried things will shoot up.

I think it would be lovely if things got better and we could all have a lovely Christmas to end what has been a horrible year for everyone

FireflyGirl · 10/07/2020 09:34

7am is much too early to be inflicting your kids on the neighbours!!

I remember DM and DNana having pressure cookers. I was eyeing up the electronic ones, with a view to cooking curries/stews/slow cooked meats quickly, but I have a rather expensive multi-cooker which is also a slow cooker which can cook them all, and I don't think I could justify another kitchen gadget Blush

KVlovesWinter · 10/07/2020 09:54

Good morning

Was lovely and sunny when I woke up at 9, now there are some very dark clouds on the way it's not looking good. The same happened on my last week off work, it rained the whole time.

Agree with everyone, letting children play outside at 7am is way too early. I always said to mine 9 through the week but after 10 on weekends.

Welcome bear, I really hope things are different by Christmas. The chance of a second wave is quite worrying. Fingers crossed!

We had a pressure cooker at home when I was little and it scared the life out of me 😁
I have a slow cooker which gets used quite a lot,

WreckTangled · 10/07/2020 10:39

Gorgeous day here.

We've been to Aldi (£85 as opposed to the £110-120 I was spending at Tesco) plus McDonald's breakfast to bribe the dc to leave the house at 7:30.

Just got dds end of year report and it's really good so that's nice.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 10/07/2020 10:55

I can't remember if we had a pressure cooker when we were kids or not Fluffy. I would lean towards we didn't but could well be wrong.

I did not sleep well either. I woke up early and so tired now. Luckily I am off till Tuesday.

I need to do some cleaning today. Lucky me.

NerosFiddle · 10/07/2020 11:08

Morning.

Dh is away to get his hair cut. I don't think he'll be asking me to cut his hair again .

I've got a Sainsbury's order coming 12-1 and it's got a bottle of wine on it so I can treat myself tonight to a nice hot bath and a wee glass.

@mummabear1967 it's nice to have another nordie on the thread.

Why leave the cleaning till tomorrow.

Wreck what did you have in McDonald's? I'd love either a double sausage and egg Mc muffin or a breakfast wrap with brown sauce. 🤤

I think that my parents still have a pressure cooker. It's probably not as fancy as yours 70.

I dried out more fruit yesterday and nearly choked myself to death there was that much cinnamon.
