boots I think that's what I'll end up doing.
It was drizzling, but that doesn't bother me. All the rain we've had has meant the thistles were massive easy to pull, but I could only do an hour before my hips were killing and my gloves were so caked in mud I could barely lift them.
The brassicas are doing well, the squashes are still sulking, and I have a flower on one of my aubergine plants. Neither the ones in the greenhouse nor the ones in the raised bed at home have flowered yet, despite being planted 3-4 weeks earlier, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
Oh, and I suddenly have a mass incursion of bindweed in the potato bed!! I think the seeds must have been dormant, and my digging the other weeds out followed by the rain gave them the opportunity to grow. They're still quite small, so that'll be my job tomorrow or Saturday.
