Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Not through choice, Why! I think I was too hot. But the early allotment trip was lovely (Biddy, the light is one of the reasons I love going at either end of the day).

That coffee sounds strong, Biddy. You'll be bouncing off the walls all day. And night!

I've not been back to our local garden centre yet (Dobbies). Partly through no time and partly because I can't face queuing.

pussycatinboots · 29/05/2020 16:38

why has it arrived yet? and I'm glad I'm not the only one who buys pants in a shop Grin

Nero I guess we have to shop where we can at the mo (we've no local Matalan) DH burned the back of his neck yesterday 🥵 it's still a bit red today.

Biddy hope DD has had a fun afternoon the coffee sounds awful

It's too warm out there for me, I don't do sun, and there's no shade in the garden from 11 to 6ish.

Mrsmadevans · 29/05/2020 18:34

Evening everyone 😀
I have had a bit of trouble getting on my Mumsnet today. I don't know why but I thought I was going to have to register again and lose my name, which I really don't want to. Anyway I kept trying and it's finally worked thank God. Just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble?
Wreck that is brilliant you have a Tesco delivery next week and click and collect today today is brilliant 😄
Crazy hope you are feeling better today, isn't this weather gorgeous such a beautiful blanket you crocheted for your niece is gorgeous I love it 😍
Most I'm so glad you had a lovely rest and that means that your DH is much better so it's a win-win 😄👏
Fluffy your allotment looks gorgeous I've never had trouble with M&S flowers before but I have had trouble with Home bargains flowers and they are very difficult to get hold of. I think Mark's are probably much easier to deal with 🤗 I want my Sparks offers back to 😂
We never used to say anything like that it's news to me I bet you had some fun 😄👏
70 excellent idea re not going to buy / makethis Christmas list and the not going in there for post lockdown lists 😂
Primark will indeed be hell on Earth 🤯🤪😂
Boot love going to the shops especially M&S back I do love a good home browse in lidl and Aldi and Primark because I am a cheap skating gal😄 hope you get your pants soon 😂
Nero I went to Iceland today and the trolley was mostly full of ice creams and lollies, it is absolutely beautiful here but very hot like you. DH has developed a liking for solero mango ice cream so I have bought him four boxes I don't think they will last him very long 🤯😂
Biddy that coffee sounds horrible but bless her she meant well. I hope you enjoy your barbecue 😄👏😋
Why we very badly need a new sofa I am debating whether to get myself and DH electric reclining chairs because we are getting so stiff in old age 😂
Hope you love your sofa am I being naughty in asking for a picture please thank you 😄👏 I am almost as excited as you are 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 29/05/2020 19:01

I posted and it got eaten by the problems!

Mrs, if you're ever struggling, Google 'Mumsnet Site Stuff' and go onto that page. If there's a problem it will have been posted there.

Turns out my mum got the wrong address. 🙈🙈🙈 Next door but one had them. Delivered to them. Sigh.

We've got flowers on our lemon trees and baby cucumbers in the greenhouse! It's exciting. The bees are loving the raspberries too. I love this time of year with stuff growing and bees being happy. 🐝

Well the sofa has arrived. I am testing it out and it seems pretty good so far.

I will try and post some pictures. It arrived in a box as did the chair and they would not bring them into the house due to the thing that shall not be named on here.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 06:50

Morning all :)

Your allotment and plants are looking amazing fluffy! I picked some great radishes yesterday!

DH is all better thankfully so we are going to have a nice relaxing family weekend :) Can't wait for Monday when we can go 5 miles for exercise, will open up some nicer walks for us.

Bought our wildlife pond yesterday, just need to get it into the ground and put the plants in (currently residing in DS' old paddling pool).

Had this beautiful flower appear in my wildflower bed yesterday.

Ordered me a new dress yesterday with ice creams on and DS a purple t-shirt as purple is his favourite colour :)

Morning everyone 😀
Glad MN seems to be working fine now 🤗
Beautiful day again here , off to Mum's LTR just watching the news and seeing the toll this lockdown is having on ppl who are self isolating . I am just glad mum and Bob are safe and have each other. I wish others had done the same if they were able to. They would both be lost without each other. I would have moved in with Mum or she would have moved in with us but we wouldn't have been able to see Bob then 🤗
Most lovely dress very pretty ❤️ beautiful flower in your wild flower area the colour is gorgeous. Am so pleased for you that you can go to the wetlands and Give Goldcliff a hello for me and DH . I miss it & Tredegar house more than words can say , it's our special place 🤗
Hope everyone has a gorgeous day 🌞

Mrsmadevans · 30/05/2020 07:52

Morning!

Most, I love the flowers that keep popping up in my very wild wildflower patch! They're beautiful.

I put a new oxygenating plant in our pond last night as the old one didn't take and rotted away! The border plants are doing well though, thankfully.

Lovely dress!

I'm heading to the allotment now to water early. DH is bringing the kids on very shortly before it's too hot.

WreckTangled · 30/05/2020 08:36

Love the new sofa it looks perfect for sprawling Grin

That t shirt is so cute and I really like the dress

Another hot day today my watch mark is ridiculous. I've even got tan lines where my wedding ring is. Will do some washing.

Applied for another job yesterday. I don't know why because it's full time but hopefully they'll love me and I can negotiate?! Not likely but I just can't stay where I am with a manager who really feels the need to make me feel like 'just a band 3'. (Obviously she hasn't said that but I've never felt is as much I do now).

I'm just going to apply for everything possible.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 08:44

Fingers crossed wreck!

Enjoy the allotment fluffy :) I need to sort out my sunflowers today. And sow my overwintering cauliflower some time soon.

pussycatinboots · 30/05/2020 08:48

Morning.
Wreck I was once called "just a typist" by my manager...I took every opportunity from then on to belittle him in front of his manager (Director) but doing it so very subtly he didn't even notice Halo
When I left, they has to recruit 2ft and 1pt staff to replace me Grin that will have screwed with his head almost as much as his budget.
Washer on. Bacon butty eaten Grin Cats chasing each other...

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 08:57

Ladies please help me decide which cross stitch to get next? I can't decide whether to go straight for Christmas even though I am not feeling Christmassy or to go for one of these?

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 08:58

I will be sure to say hello to Goldcliff from you Mrs :)

pussycatinboots · 30/05/2020 09:03

most not into elephants, but I love the map one, so much that I might have to get one myself.

pussycatinboots · 30/05/2020 09:06

most although, I may be a pedant and have to adapt it to include the IOM and NI for Nero

NoWordForFluffy · 30/05/2020 10:29

Elephant for me! We had bedding with a similar pattern!

OP posts:
NerosFiddle · 30/05/2020 10:52

Morning all.

Boots thank you for remembering us Grin

Most you're a bad influence. I'm tempted by the duns dress.

Wreck fingers crossed for the job

Most I like the elephant.

Mrs can you get up to goldcliffe yet or is travel still restricted in Wales?

Fluffy I don't know how you are doing the allotment in the heat. I'm struggling just sitting in the garden.

Biddy I hope you got some sleep after your coffee yesterday.

I'm really considering giving my hair a chop when this is all over. I'm thinking a pixie cut to see if it'll be more manageable. At the minute it's just tied up all the time.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 11:23

Thanks ladies I have gone for the elephant :)

We can only travel 5 miles Nero :(

CrazyBaubles · 30/05/2020 12:55

most I would go for the elephant, it's lovely.
Also, have you bought clothes from that website before? I'd never heard of it but I've had a little look on the site and I like the designs and that they're ethical.

Fluffy glad you worked out the flowers mystery! Be careful not to get burnt today ☀️

why the sofa looks lovely and comfy.

Wreck I hate people like that. Years ago I worked for my dads business. I did a mix of PA, accountant and receptionist job basically.
A man came to the office to discuss a job and moaned I hadn't made him coffee. Dad said I was busy and he said "busy doing what? She only answers the phone" 🙄
He didn't realise the person he was talking to was my dad who was quite blunt in his response 😂
Fingers crossed for the new job 🤞🏼

Neros my hair is in a clip permanently at the mo, it's too hot to do anything else with it!

I've done my housework for the day and am determined to sit and relax this afternoon. I keep saying I'm going to then end up cleaning / decluttering / doing some sort of paperwork or admin thing for someone my parents

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 14:00

Yes I buy almost all of DS' clothes from there crazy and I have a few myself. The Moromini Boomblaster dress and the Picalilly Ducks dress and now of course the Duns Ice Cream dress. I get my denttabs and seedboms from there too :)

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 30/05/2020 14:00

Sorry should correct that to almost all of DS' clothes that I buy new. I buy a lot of second hand stuff for him.
