Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Hello all. Sorry I have been MIA, life has got in the way (for life read decluttering, going to the tip, migraine and a day wasted in bed). Sigh

I have however made a blanket for a dolls bed my niece is getting for her birthday. Dsis requested it (she doesn't know I've made niece a doll) so I've added a pic of that.

most I love the cross stitches!

It is a boiling day here - it's saying 22degrees but it feels hotter. We're doing the weekly food shop then home to see if my work laptop is going to arrive today.
I'm not looking forward to shifting back to work mode. A lottery win would be most appreciated!!

Beautiful blanket crazy! I was falling apart this afternoon so DH sent me to bed and I fell asleep for two hours. I needed it so badly!

NoWordForFluffy · 28/05/2020 18:56

Lovely blanket, Crazy. Is it the Ikea dolls' bed as it's really nice! DD has it.

Mrs, we used to say 'Grandmother, grandmother pop out of bed!' and pop the flowers out of bindweed as kids! Did you do anything similar?

The kids loved the paddling pool today. 😁

I ordered some flowers for my mum's friend for her birthday today. DPD delivered them to the wrong address. I'm waiting to speak with customer service now.

Ah , the Ikea dolls bed is lovely , DD had one for her Baby Annabel.

End of LockDown lists are running alongside Christmas Lists now .

I have the "Not Going to Buy/Make This Christmas" lists ( including Christmas cake)

And the "Not Going In There" lists for post -Lockdown. (DD plans to drag me to Urban Outfitters . Oh joy )
Primark will be Hell on Earth.

pussycatinboots · 28/05/2020 20:59

fluffy person in DPD customer services will be 💩 it now Grin never argue with fluffy
crazy love the blanky. I'm sure your DN will love it and the doll.
70 I will be going to Sains, as when the other shops open it should be quieter and the queue less than 100 Hmm might also go to M&S.
Will not go to anywhere that others will flock to IYSWIM. Will also not go to Tesco - I will not be told where to park!

NoWordForFluffy · 28/05/2020 21:05

I'm so going to M&S! Not sure where else, I'm not much of a shopper!

NoWordForFluffy · 28/05/2020 21:13

😱😱😱 That's not something you want to be without! I just want my Sparks offers back!

Only 4 months til Christmas food goes on sale too. Xmas Grin

I put my thumb through (the hip of) my next-to-last decent pair this morning Blush admittedly they're about 10yo Grin
I've some cheepo Sains ones, but they're not quite the same...and rather "minimal" iyswim

pussycatinboots · 28/05/2020 21:15

ooh, that last post of mine is a bit "revealing" Blush

pussycatinboots · 28/05/2020 21:17

The last thing on my mind now it blinkin stilton or pigs in blankets (Morrisons £2 for a dozen FYI Wink spotted them today) Grin

Purleeeze just let me buy some sodding pants!🙏🏻

NoWordForFluffy · 28/05/2020 21:22

Surely you can order knickers online?!

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 28/05/2020 21:38

I like to go to a shop.Blush
Sorry, but I'm old fashioned like that. Grin

pussycatinboots · 28/05/2020 21:39

Morning!

Another scorchio kind of day today! The kids will be back in the paddling pool. While I'm working. Boo! Really need a lottery win. 😂

I'm getting up soon to go and water the allotment. The pressure was stupidly low last night so I couldn't do it. So hopefully it'll be better now!

I'm not meant to be awake yet. But am. Sigh.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/05/2020 06:59

Morning all, hot here too. Plan for this morning is allotment and then garden centre to get stuff for a wildlife pond!

Then this afternoon DH will have DS while I relax :)

CrazyBaubles · 29/05/2020 07:00

Morning. I woke up almost an hour ago because I'd stolen all the blanket and made myself into a sausage roll - it was bloody boiling 😂

I'm really pleased with the blanket, I think niece will like it.

I'm not sure what doll bed she's getting Fluffy but I'll suggest the ikea one as I don't think one has been bought yet (birthday isn't until July).
Did you manage to sort the flowers issue?

puss I would love to go to the big Sainsbury's which is around 30mins away. I'm not a shopping fan tbh but I do enjoy a wander around their home and clothes.

Looks like another scorcher of a day here too so I'll be hiding from the sun I think!

NoWordForFluffy · 29/05/2020 07:18

M&S are sending more flowers to arrive tomorrow. Not exactly the same as the recipient just getting them, bearing in mind they had to go hunting round to find them. And they weren't there. 🙄

The allotment was gorgeous this morning. I'm on my way home now.

Morning. Been up since 5 Grin opened all the windows so it's lovely and cool downstairs. Watered the garden, might give it another splash tonight. Cats have been fed and are now asleep Hmm
Crazy I'm bored with Morrisons. I hate food shopping, so Sains does have the added advantage of their clothing and home section even if my ccard bill doesn't agree Smile DH does the sausage thing a lot, it's lucky I like being cold. Grin

NerosFiddle · 29/05/2020 09:20

Morning.

Another tropical day here. I think it's to be around 28 degrees. I'll let the dc out in the garden early then we can stay in all afternoon.

Yesterday I forgot to put sun cream on the top of my forehead. I've been burnt all along my hairline.

Boots I've had to buy some pants from Matalan.

Fluffy you were up and at it early.

Crazy beautiful blanket.

Most our garden centres apparently have queues lasting about an hour in them. Too long to stand in this heat.

I've a Sainsbury's delivery tomorrow and I need to add a few boxes of ice lollies. We are fairly going through them at the minute.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/05/2020 09:36

Gosh neros we have been a couple of times to ours now and never had to queue more than 10 minutes and luckily you queue under a shelter so in the shade :)

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/05/2020 09:54

Just arrived and two people in the queue ahead of us :)

WreckTangled · 29/05/2020 09:59

I'm just at Tesco click and collect. One ahead of me so not busy at all. It's really warm already.

BiddyPop · 29/05/2020 10:44

I had breakfast in the garden with DD this morning, before hitting the desk upstairs. She brought a coffee to DH and I just now - at least 4 scoops of grounds, strong enough to dance on top, not just stand a spoon in - I think it will give an extra feed to the tomatoes later when she goes out to the butcher (she needs a walk, and we'd like to BBQ tonight). Last bit of school for the year is this afternoon - whole school assembly on zoom, and a request to turn up in school uniform! DD happy to do that, I expect lots won't.

Plot looks gorgeous in that light Fluffy, I think I'll be watering again later too Boots. Love the blanket Crazy, lucky dollie! Not even contemplating shops yet, DH had the pleasure of the online cash desk at Superdry this week with DD - which was a bit of a shock to him!!

Better go and get back to the grindstone...I want to see some sunshine at the end of the afternoon so need to make progress this morning....

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 29/05/2020 12:32

Hi everybody. I get you on the shopping in person for knickers thing Boots. I prefer it as well.

You were up very early oh sister of mine Fluffy.

I have a new sofa coming today and not had one for a week now due to the original order getting lost somewhere. I am ridiculously excited about it. No sofa to sit on after work is a great disappointment.
