Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Dd woke us up screaming this morning. She had a dicky tummy and (tmi) it was everywhere in her cot .

Dh is away to Asda this morning to try and get a new mattress cover and more sheets.

Boots the antibody test that Superdrug are selling are by Abbott. The same ones approved by the government. But I can't justify it at that price.

Dh will be one of the first to get the test when it's finally used anyway.

Weather is a bit overcast this morning. I think it's to be cloudy all day but now rain.

I'd forgotten it was BH this weekend. Had to ask DH what day it was yesterday, as well!

I have the same issue on the mobile site, Neros. I sometimes have to press post two or three times.

Wreck what has the boss done? I'm probably not the best person for advice because even when I'm trying, people tend to pick up on if I like them or not 😂

I'm currently melting, sat in the car waiting for DH to finish in Tesco. The queue for Wilko is nuts so I'm going to skip it. It's hardly an emergency to get plants going, it can wait. Worst come to worst Ill do it all next summer when we will hopefully be in a house we own and can do the garden how we want it 🤞🏼

Well I said I felt certain things hadn't been made clear when I moved offices and things weren't explained properly. I was met with 'well you should have asked more question and should be careful about making allegations because they could end badly for you'

I've got my click and collect with Tesco tomorrow and can't get onto the website now I think it's complete but they're out of pomegranate and I just wanted to check it one last time.

I think I might order for delivery from Wilko, even though they've ramped their charge up at the moment (it used to be £3.50). I can't be arsed queuing!

Firefly, only Tues and Weds. I need my other days for later in the year. It's still a nice break though.

It's lovely here. I've been pottering in the garden during my lunch break. I don't want to go back! Our raspberries are starting to flower (the bees are impatient and are shoving into the opening flowers which are definitely more like buds than flowers!) and some peas have buds on too. My tomatoes are almost all flowering / on the way too. I love this time of year!

My raspberries have been flowering for a couple of weeks, peas in the greenhouse are just starting to flower (planted in February, I think), but none of my tomatoes are even close, which is unusual. They're all in the greenhouse permanently now, and seem quite happy.

I've just done another sowing of peas, some beetroot, and am debating planting cape gooseberries and tomatillos. I have the seeds, but am nearly out of compost so trying to save it for potting on rather than planting new things.

And I need trellis for my cucumbers, really - the trellis I grew them up last year is now covered in peas!

Can you send your DH to a garden centre, Firefly?

Our allotment raspberries and tayberry flowered a while ago. Our garden is lagging behind! 😂

One of my neighbours is playing really loud music (not my kind of tunes either , all the repetitive doof doof doof type . Probably great if you're in the groove ie drunk or on drugs)

Shall I liven things up by going out in my garden in leggings and a bra top and throw some shapes ( Mum Dance) and they might knock it on the head ?

Evening everyone
Have been to Monmouth for a little trip out with Dh to get a multitude of supplies for Mum, Bob, NDN , Mum's friend who fell & for us. DD1 did Mother & Bob bless her heart . Went into Lidl it is a total disaster there no one abiding to any rules , l don't know what on earth they were thinking , eldery ppl being the worst!! Reaching over you for things , going up a one way aisle , totally in your face and worst of all sneezing !! l was so glad to get from there l can tell you !
My Mum's friend has fallen as l told you so l popped to see him when we got back , socially distanced l promise. l dropped off some Voltarol cream and some Cocodamols , told him he would be constipated and tired but at least he could move bless him

Morning!

It's raining. Woooooooo hooooooooo! The wind woke me, rattling our door, but now the rain has started and it sounds amazing. The first proper downpour in two bloody months. It won't be enough to sort the lack of rain out though, as it's not forecast to last long enough (but hopefully our butts will be partly replenished).

I do need more sleep though so should try to get back off!

He's having his 72hr ECG fitted today (we drop it off on Monday) so another drop-off at the Hospital. They phoned him yesterday afternoon - I suspect they are getting lots of cancellations/refusals.
Mrs I have found similar issues with the worst of the social lack of distancers being elderly (should really be shielding). I guess they think they've got less to lose?
No clapping around here, also no fireworks maybe they've run out at last or YNWA THANK GOD

I'm still awake. Today will be a loooooooong day!

Fluffy It's doable, but will feel like jet-lag by 2pm. Plenty of coffee and try to walk around a little bit, difficult when you're tethered to your desk I know.

We have one green tomato already, can't quite believe it! Everything is doing pretty well at the moment which is fab :)

We might have a shower this morning. Today and tomorrow are cooler and cloudy with some wind (17°) then back to warm weather Sunday and all of next week. No work now until the 1st which I'm pleased about.

We had gusts about 1.30 - they woke me up, so I went outside and took down the parasol as I couldn't get back to sleep for worrying it would take off.

DS wants to wear his fleecy onesie today. We're forecast sunny spells and highs of 21! I've told him he can wear it this morning while it's cooler, then he'll have to change. I figure I'm teaching him compromise, rather than lazy parenting!

I hate coffee, so that's a no! I did have another hour or so's sleep, however I feel worse now!.

We've changed internet provider today. Thankfully it changed over at about 4am, so no work disruption.

Firefly, I was concerned about the greenhouse, but it's OK. It's going to be 45mph+ for most of today and tomorrow. I'll be blown around the allotment tomorrow!

Butt update: butt 1 is getting close to full, but no improvement on - overflow - butt 2. But 2 has to wait for 1 to be full before filling, so that's the problem here. If it had its own supply it would've fared better. Hopefully the two allotment butts did better!

My DM is a hairdresser and has said the phone hasn't stopped with people asking her to come to their house to do their hair. It's all people who should be shielding too.
