We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

Yes I meant the non slip type of bath mat! I'm ok it was more of a slide Grin

Crazy some people are just ridiculous and expect everyone to do everything for them.

I still have to hang the washing up I really can't be bothered I haven't really sat down since I got home from work.

I love that greenhouse puss!

Have just amended my ASDA shop for Saturday. Am not going to go back to it now. Accidentally signed up to hello fresh so I've got that Como Saturday too Blush I've cancelled the subscription already

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/05/2020 21:31

Crazy she sounds like the sort of Mum who threatens her child with "The policeman will tell you off / The Dr will give you a jag with a big needle / If you don't behave that man will come and take you away " Angry

The Luther episode with the creepy bloke on the Night Bus ............Shock

boots I have serious greenhouse envy now !

CrazyBaubles · 07/05/2020 05:38

🎄 232 🎄

I've just spent 10 mins sat in my garden listening to the birds - I often forget how loud they are!

CrazyBaubles · 07/05/2020 05:45

😩 Pressed post too soon!

I've been up on and off all night with an upset stomach - no idea why but I suddenly felt very hot at 5am so got up to sort the dog and sat in the garden in my pjs to cool down.

I'm glad everyone agreed with me about the parent. I get that everyone is stressed etc but his time for kids / parents to contact him is meant to be for stuff actually related to teaching, not providing discipline for something unrelated. 70 I think you're right and the parent had threatened 'if you don't eat your veg I'm going to tell Mr Baubles and he'll tell you off' etc.

puss that's a very grand looking greenhouse!

😂 at your extra, forgotten, food coming Wreck

WreckTangled · 07/05/2020 06:40

Oh no crazy I hope you feel better soon. Have you heard the cuckoo yet? I've heard it a few times, since March.

I'm in pain today all down the side where I fell yesterday; wrist, back, hip Sad

Oh well last working day of the week. Need to phone HR and see if there's anything they can do about my mileage.

pussycatinboots · 07/05/2020 07:05

Crazy, I hope you're ok now.
Wreck, ouch! We replaced our shower tray (technically ripped the ensuite out and started again) with a non slip one. The only problem is it is more perilous than the old one Angry hence the need to wipe/clean it all the bloody time. Hmm
Did anyone see the moon last night/first thing. It was an amazing colour at 4am.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/05/2020 08:16

Morning!

DH mentioned the moon last night. I didn't have my glasses on though (cross stitch!) so couldn't see it!

It's often the day after a fall that the pain really comes on Wreck. Gentle movements are good physio.

Crazy, I hope you feel better soon.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/05/2020 08:19

Poor you wreck, hopefully by tomorrow the pain will have eased a bit.

That greenhouse is amazing, can't wait to have a garden big enough for one.

Can't wait for the 3 day weekend. It's just so nice not juggling work and DS.

I didn't see the moon, I'm an early to bed person, it was only just getting dark when I went Grin

21 degrees here today according to BBC so will be filling the paddling pool soon :)

NerosFiddle · 07/05/2020 08:47

Wreck alternate between hot and cold. Hope you feel better soon.

Crazy can you take anything to help with the cramps?

Most enjoy the pool.

Fluffy/ boots I was in bed at 8 last night so didn't see the moon either. Though ds fell out of his bed in the middle of the night. So the whole house was awake at 4.

Mrs is it Bobs house where no one can get a signal? I was going to suggest a cheap mobile. But that wouldn't work.

We had a bit of rain last night and due more at 5. So might get some washing out, if I could be bothered.

The highlight of my day will be Asda coming between 8-10 tonight.

FireflyGirl · 07/05/2020 09:21

Glorious sunny day 🌞 today.

DH has started work, DS is happily playing in his bedroom, so I'm being very lazy in bed for as long as I can.

Then we're going to bake scones and maybe brownies for our VE Day picnic tomorrow. I haven't been able to get in the cupboard in the spare room where my fabric is (it's DH's office during the day, and come 6 I just want to eat tea and go to bed), so no bunting.

Hope your aches ease off today, Wreck. Make sure you keep moving, though, otherwise you'll seize up and it'll be worse.

I'm intrigued to see what BJ has to announce tonight. I know The Plan isn't until Sunday, but I hope he at least gives us an indication tonight.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/05/2020 10:43

Cross stitch is coming along well :)

Enjoy your baking fire.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/05/2020 11:35

Sorry Beach Hut Fun

pussycatinboots · 07/05/2020 13:47

fluffy get a mooooooove on GrinWink

WreckTangled · 07/05/2020 14:54

Just waiting to get the dc. Their school is the other side of my car such a lovely day.

My back is quite painful but I can tell it's muscular have kept moving so it's not too bad.

Most I love the cross stitch so summery

Popped into Sainsbury's as dd has outgrown all of her clothes. They didn't have loads but got some bits and a small paddling pool for them. They deserve it seeing as they've had to go to school when their friends haven't.

pussycatinboots · 07/05/2020 15:09

DH is most put out...
He's washed the cars, cleaned the windows and the conservatory roof, karchered part of the patio...basically used loads of water to clean stuff...and now it's raining Hmm he was grumbling about Tomasz Schafernackers forecast being wrong...
He's also a bit peaky because one of the cocky starlings he's lovingly fed all winter decided to fly off and on the way...shat on him Grin
I offered him a tissue, but he said the starling would be miles away by now Wink

Wreck not sure it's raining enough here to fill a paddling pool, but I'm not bringing the washing in...I may even leave it to be darked on Grin except my socks I love Sainsburys TU clothes. I don't think I've anything left (that fits) that isn't from there SmileBlush

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 07/05/2020 16:40

I am a great believer in darked on washing Boots.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/05/2020 17:35

We regularly put ours out at night, especially if it's the only time it's dry!

Starlings are buggers. Ours shit on the washing!

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 07/05/2020 19:30

fluffy luckily they missed all of the washing and shat on DH instead. I told him it was lucky - he doesn't believe me.
Many decades ago, a seagull shat on my Grandma at Rhyl. It got her on her glasses. My mum enjoyed telling me many times 😂(her MIL) but my dad always insisted it was my Nan (his MIL) that got it on the top of her head at New Brighton 🤣
why he's brought it in and left it in a heap. how very helpful Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 07/05/2020 19:38

Our washing is also in a heap. Also courtesy of DH. Bloody men!

Our outside table has had a direct shot and the greenhouse has been covered too. 💩 everywhere!

That greenhouse you like reminds me of the one in The Hand that Rocked the Cradle. 😱😱

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 07/05/2020 19:59

Not seen that Blush
I'm still thinking Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were Rabbit - the one the Vicar owned, with the central locking.

WreckTangled · 07/05/2020 20:10

Argh I watched the hand that rocked the cradle when I was about 11 or 12 at a friends house when we were having a sleepover!

Mrsmadevans · 07/05/2020 21:04

Hello everyone Grin
I have been busy today, got up at 6 to be in my local Tesco by 7, very quiet and civilised in there fair dos , plenty of stock , no restrictions now. Did the shopping then home to sort Mum's tablets for 3 weeks. I do her 3 weeks at a time . She has 13 tabets of a morning and 6 at night. It takes me ages Hmm . Cooked Salmon, mash ,carrots & peas for everyones tea. Mum informed me tonight that it wasn't very nice Hmm ungrateful cow! Did it that early so Dd1 can take the meals up for Bob and Mum, she did them today for me bless her . Then hung washing out , cleaned the bathroom and bedrooms . So l took 1 Cocodamol when l finished as my back was hurting me, never thinking l would end up unconcious on the sofa for an hour and groggy for another 2 , bloody hell they are strong Grin
I had to work out Mum's assessment for her contribution to carer's allowance myself, they had totally buggered the amount up. Wanted her to pay £87 weekly instead of £57! Sorted it all out at last but it is all stress that l dont need because it has taken a month to sort out tooing and frooing with the assessment team Hmm. The bother l had to go through to get PPE for Mum was unbelievable as well Hmm
It's all very stressful esp with the bloody virus as well Hmm
We had an afternoon tea delivered from Morrisons for Mum and Bob delivered , it's lovely l am really pleased with it , they will enjoy it tomorrow l know Smile
Well that is my day, will have a look to see what you have all been up to! Grin
Nero Yes it's Bob's house the signal dips in and out and Mum has her Mobile there but it seems as if the signal is awful whether they are on the landline or mobile.
Fluffy your new cross stitch is lovely Smile
Wreck hope you back is better soon, the countryside is gorgeous around you Smile
Fire your plans for VE day sound lovely , had a box with afternon tea delivered today will take it to Bob's for them tomorrow Smile
Most I love the cross stitch it's coming on really well !
Boot poor Dh Grin he should do the lottery this week Grin Bob has many that don't work cordless phones l think the problem is he can't work them tbh Hmm love that greenhouse it is darling Smile
Crazy hope your tum is better now m'dear, been a beautiful day here
Flowers

WreckTangled · 08/05/2020 05:46

Dd came into our room at 4:30(!!) asking if DH would get her a drink and I've been awake ever since Angry (he said no, she's quite capable of getting herself a drink) so am now up having a coffee.

Would you believe DH isn't working today?! So this morning I'm off to M&S to buy bbq bits as my Asda delivery isn't coming until tomorrow.
